  1. There was unrest in the team before the end of last season when the word was out about the budget cuts and Waggott wanting to sell anyone of any worth, and release anyone on decent wages. They all knew it.
  2. Most of which wouldn’t be on the pitch if it wasn’t for the owners. It didn’t happen overnight.
  3. Two full backs, an experienced CB and a striker. Didn’t Broughton say 5 additional incomings to add to the ones already in? In any case with our budget we’ll be lucky if we get one good player out of those five.
  4. Why is that his fault? He’s our main goalie through no fault of his own. Though I’d be happy to stick our tallest youngster in goal right now. Failing that just dig out Tony’s tombola, including kit man and groundskeeper. Or stick a wig on a cone.
  5. He probably is, but in terms of his power to sack or appoint a manager, he has none.
  6. Last season it wasn't much better.
  7. Waggott has absolutely no power to can anyone or appoint anyone.
  8. Yes the players in front of him have been shit too, but taking the last goal as an example, his legs didn't even leave the ground. I've only seen the goal once but from what I saw, it was right at him and it was so bizarre that he just stayed rooted to the ground and threw his arms up.
  9. Questions need to be asked about the recruitment and transfer fee of LW when we haven't a pot to piss in. He'd struggle in L2 and no doubt there are L2 goalies who would do far better.
  10. The defending is awful, but Wahlstedt is truly terrible. Did he even jump? Right over his head!
  11. I've always thought Hyam is good when he's alongside another good player/or player in form. He's too quiet to be the leader of the two. He's also probably not match fit at the moment and as you say not helped with having potentially the worst goalie we've ever had.
  12. Fair enough, I just don't see how changing formation will do anything when we're forced to rely on kids and freebies.
  13. Wanting Travis in the team and solve our problems is like expecting Gallagher is going to come back and start knocking them in regularly. They both needed replacing long before this manager came along. As for the formation, I've seen Travis play as one of 2 holding mids and we were shit then too. I think the only answer is to have owners who actually give a shit. Actually, we had owners who couldn't give a shit before Venkys, but they had the decency to employ people who did give a shit in their absence. And that's the difference.
  14. If we had a barely functioning club we wouldn't be in this position, as we saw last season.
  15. On a small budget with no decent strikers, after the CEO allowed several players to leave for nothing. Then this rapidly declining season coincides with the owners turning their collective backs on the team whilst telling the inept CEO to sell and save. I know who to blame.
  16. Travis got dropped last year for being abysmal. As a result he asked to be transferred and at the time most would have said good riddance. If you think Travis is the answer you must have missed this.
  17. Before match. "We won't get anything from this match. Venkys out." 45 minutes later. "Sack the manager." I knew I shouldn't have logged in.
  18. I liked the 3 points, even if the football wasn't so great. I was sat in the Jack Walker upper after the 2-1 win over WBA last season and I was surprised when the final whistle blew and I could hear people grumbling around me. As I was walking down the steps there was a bloke saying what a negative manager he was with everyone around him in agreement. Some didn't stop grumbling all season.
  19. I remember a lot of people moaning about it on here. A lot of which are moaning about the tippy tappy now.
  20. The bit in bold, if we could have that every week that would be perfect 👍
  21. And you win leagues by having both. Not disagreeing with you though. I've wanted us to sign a decent striker since Armstrong left and Sammie can't keep propping the team up.
  22. The club sounds completely dyfunctional, Waggott doing one thing, Babu and Desai doing another. Broughton and JDT trying to work with what they've got. No money going in and no one doing their jobs particularly well. Why they don't put it up for sale I'll never understand. It must be a chore to continue doing something you have no real interest in for no return. No passion, no fire, no chance. If confirmation was ever needed that the club is ran by idiots, here we are. Mr Desai was the one hit by a snowball. Maybe this continued nonsense is his way of doling out punishment. It'd explain a lot.
  23. Probably because this is happening now. All of those other things were brought up when they happened.
  24. Travis, Buckley, Carter, A Wharton and Phillips, along with Kaminski, Dack and Ayala were wanted out before the end of last season. Basically anyone who could get some money into the club, or on decent wages.
