  1. Yes but the opposition get a free pass to come forward now the likes of Szmodics and Moran have burnt out, and Dolan and JRC are injured. Thats why since Mowbray was here it was stupid not to get a decent striker in when Armstrong left.
  2. Shockingly awful. I was hoping his earlier mistakes were due to him not being fully settled. But yesterday the penny finally dropped. We’ll drop a lot more points if we persist. And the alternative is Pears 😩
  3. What do you expect when that line up isn’t far off our best eleven?!?! Did anyone seriously look at that line up and think we’d get a result? All I hope for when I see that are two things. Lots of luck. The owners to fuck off.
  4. He hasn’t lost the dressing room. He’s just got a mixture of inexperienced and mediocre to poor players. Also the few decent players we have are either fatigued, coming back from injury, or injured. Dolan was just hitting form when he got injured and JRC is a big loss. Having no decent strikers to bring in and a dodgy inexperienced keeper doesn’t help too.
  5. Of all the individual errors, that was king clanger.
  6. The keeper blamed the other players for that first goal too.
  7. Fair enough but the point I was making is that the manager asked for certain players and they weren't signed. JDT made that clear in January and after the Summer window. So I don't agree with the previous posters assertion that these players must be being signed on JDT's "say so." Hirst and Morton were poor signings but at least they could be sent back. We're stuck with the likes of Ennis and Telly Savalas.
  8. Especially when Waggott knew the taps were being turned off yet still allowed the appointment of Broughton and JDT (with the bullshit promise of a project with the aim of promotion), when what we clearly needed was a pragmatic old head. That said, a pragmatic old head would have told them to stick their job up their collective arses when he discovered he couldn't sign experience or any decent strikers and had to rely on loans and the academy to make up the numbers.
  9. If anyone can stomach it, can someone watch the replay of the first goal and explain to me what the actual fuck Wahlstedt was doing for the first goal. A traffic cone could have done a better job. Am I unfair in saying he could have booted it as it seemed such a weak shot? I've seen defenders deliver more powerful passes back to the keeper.
  10. He can stick that new bus where the sun doesn't shine, and by the looks of it, it'd fit.
  11. What if it's the best they can do in any system? Replace JDT with Allardyce and who steps up in that defence? Who do we clog it to upfront? Who scores the goals? Who saves the inevitable onslaught of shots in the last ten when we've given everything? Who on the pitch lifts the spirits of this embryonic team when we go a goal down? Travis? Szmodics? Or the softly spoken Hyam?
  12. Pickering and Brittain have never been decent full backs. Carter is overrated. Wharton is being asked to do the job of a man in midfield and he's still very much a kid. A reasonable squad except striker and GK. Pretty important parts of the squad those. We wouldn't have gone 1-0 down only for the keeper. If anyone thinks this is an acceptable professional football club squad then you've forgotten what acceptable is.
  13. A relegation battle is just what Waggott was anticipating, but at no point planned for.
  14. Yep, but I'm not sticking my head in the sand believing otherwise. It's disappointing enough.
  15. He didn't source those strikers or that experienced defender he asked for last January or this Summer.
  16. What if that is their best at this stage of the season? (I believe it is without a decent break) Between the lot of them, not one of our available strikers has scored 5 goals in the Championship. They haven't scored 5 between them.
  17. You can die on that hill but it's an unfair statement. Kean and Coyle had relative freedom to do whatever they pleased. I'm yet to see the guy able to manage without incompetence and interference on and off the pitch. Some of his decision making frustrates me but I'm not just going to use him as a scapegoat when it's no secret that transfers are being blocked or bungled and the owners have imposed a ludicrous transfer strategy. Nothing will change till they do, no matter who is in the dugout.
  18. I can't. All I could see was a shell of a team created by one set of lying bastards overseas.
  19. It's not entirely true though, they are imposing rules on the transfer policy. If they didn't give any fucks and let people get on with it, it would actually be better. They are the worst type of owners. Not putting anything in, interfering, and expecting to get something back even if it's buttons.
  20. In the last minute of the game not one player was willing to put a cross in, in an advanced wide position. And that included the captain.
  21. Powered by stupid stubborn owners.
  22. I don't think you can change the style to suit this group of players. It's the culmination of years of underinvestment in the team, especially the full back positions and strikers and over reliance on youth and a lack of experience. He's certainly the wrong man for the job but to be fair the pitch from the top was that we were going to build up the team over the seasons he was with us and aim for promotion, not have a fire sale and bring in kids and freebies and try to cling onto our league status.
  23. One of the worst displays I've seen from a Rovers team. I'd say a new low, but I've seen a lot worse under Venkys.
  24. Don't be daft. Sacking someone would mean money and work.
  25. "We're the famous Blackburn Rovers and we play without strikers..."
