  1. As Jimmy Sirrell, manager of Notts County, said on the radio back in the early 1970s, "If ya dinna score ya dinna win". The interviewer said, "Nice one Sirrell". Notts County had just won promotion from the third division (at our expense).
  2. Glad City won it. I remember them being in the old third division at one stage. They were always second best to their swaggering red scummy rivals. Arsenal are the only club never to have been out of the top flight in my lifetime so glad they didn't win it.
  3. Only saw the last 20 minutes. Bolton were so poor and Oxford looked great. Pity really. I was hoping for another derby game.
  4. Isn't it time EVERYONE recognised who is to blame for the shambles we have become.
  5. So could your pet cat but not at the moment because it has a groin strain.
  6. Mike once showed me and my grandson around Ewood Park. We saw a lot, even places where other touring parties didn't go. He is a 1st class bloke who is chairman of Rovers Trust. Previously Preston Blue of this parish and used to sit in "Bullshit Corner"at the Royal Oak, Riley Green. P.S. Bullshit Corner no longer exists.
  7. Silvester is a scape goat. We all know who scuppered certain transfers. Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes.
  8. Also, in the Sky highlights, after Sammie gets his second a little message appears in the top right of the screen which reads," Insane goalkeeper howler from Blackburn's Aynsley Pears". 🤣
  9. The first attempt was Tronstad winning it, Dolan beating his man and giving it back to Tronstad. Meanwhile Sammie cut across to the left and fell flat on his face as Tronnie passed it right to Gallagher who hit the side netting. No wonder Gally doesn't score more goals; useless sod!
  10. I have to say that I cannot remember watching Rovers highlights so many times before. Sammie's two goals are absolutely glorious to watch over and over again. I have never seen a Rovers player score a goal like the second one. It was amazing. Who played the pass? Was it Tronstad?
  11. He and Markanday were ill. What the symptoms were we don't know but you cannot let someone with a high temperature go out on the field, for his sake and for the team's sake. Neither would you want him shitting and vomiting all over the pitch. If someone isn't 100% fit they don't play. Give the guys some slack.
  12. Not if they are in the championship. We'll be in League 1
  13. We'll get licked by his youngsters too. Unless the Rovers of Sunderland and Leeds turn up.
  14. I have been forecasting Rovers to be relegated ever since JDT lost interest. The only consolation for the rest of you is that Rovers very rarely do as I predict. I think Coventry are one of our bogey sides at Ewood. Also I thought a few of us wanted Rovers to go down in order to get rid of the owners. This should be in the pessimism thread.
  15. Whichever league we are in next season, we need a NEW GOALIE!!!
