We offered Bellamy a Huge salary according to reports, it wouldn't be a massive cut for him and would give him probably what he wants which is a season or 2 back in the premiership before he retires to USA. The challange and chance to work with Hughesy would be a big enough draw for most players and outweight the profile issue. As for sponsorship i doubt the levels he has enjoyed over the past few years will be maintained for much longer.

Oojer's one is pathetic, all the rovers fans saw it clearly enough and the ref appeared to at first. Not to mention the fact that not 1 player appealed or looked at the ref. As for Petrov the ref has got the perfect angle to see that and not giving it only compounds an already awful performance. Just as we were getting into the game we had the wind taken out of our sails by an assistant who didn't go to specsavers and a ref who really should stick with his decision.

Nonda and Benni seem to have got the partnership off to a tee. They know exactly where the other one is and also the midfielders running inn behind them. The problem with jeffers is that he just doesn't have the deadly strikers instinct, he gets into all the right positions then scuffs it or misses it completely. Shame about roberts being injured, i think he would have pushed nonda very close for a starting place.

But on that premise it doesn't matter where you play him, he'll still be gone. The Gally & Benni combo would mean that we would never have a striker in the penalty area! Benni drops off too much for my liking but he does have the habbit of turning up just at the right time to slot it home from 4 yards out! Personally with Bentley playing so well on the right wing i would move MGP into a roll just behind nonda and benni. Then putting Peter on the left.

Uninspiring, Boring, Awful. Rovers long ball to the front 2 approach did not work and it didn't at any point look like working. The penalty was a joke, how the assistant gave that when the x thousand rovers fans behind him clearly saw it wasn't a penalty i'll never know. He then followed that up with another shocker to give villa a free kick in a dangerous position. As has been said in the media if your giving them that one, which totally changed the game, then we had to have one early in the second half. Poor Reffing to let McCann constantly break up play with foul after foul. Yet he was quick enough to book our lads for protesting a ridiculas decision. £30 wasted and i fear for Man Utd next weekend. Don't play the axe in cm please!!! Gray got better as the game went on couldn't have got much worse though. Franny Jeffers looked ok up front but should have at least managed a shot on target with that ball over the top that the defender missed. Disappointing to say the least.

Personally i would move MGP or Bentley into to the middle and with Bentley in such good form it would have to be MGP and then bring in Peter on the left.
