Only time will tell if its a good or bad move, his pace and tackling ability leave a lot to be desired, and he has been losing the ball in key areas a lot more this season, but on his day his passing is second to none. There is no doubt about his love for both the club and fans, but if the guy needs more stability from a two year contract, then unfortunately he may have to find it elsewhere.

Just watched the Leeds Bolton game and you had to feel sorry for Alan Smith at the end, I personally dont like the guy because of his bullish agression and he's over-rated. But you couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy as he left the field in tears. Smithy has Leeds in his blood and was truly gutted, I wonder how many of the other Leeds players were worrying about what might happen to the club at full-time, and how many were wandering were they would be playing next season and if they could maybe get a pay rise at their new clubs. If Rovers are really going into a bit of financial trouble with the fall in attendances etc, then I wouldn't mind seeing a few more of the academy lads who are true rovers fans and would give everything for the shirt. Unfortunately, Blackburn is not the richest or densely populated town in the country (not a put-down, we love it all the more) and so we can't attract such enourmas attendances as other premiership teams. No matter what advertising and schemes we employ, we will never fill Ewood week in week out unless we win the title consecutively. The major asian population is another serious downfall, we cannot attract these people to the games and I for one wouldn't particularly want them there.

I havent managed to understand all season why some people want souness out, and I realise that its easy for me to come on here now after a win and defend him. But he has turned us around no end and I dont believe anyone could have done a better job for rovers this season with the injuries and squad we have.

I cannot beleive that after 10 games of a season with possibly the best manager we have ever had, your calling for his head. Souness regularly turns around these situations and will do a gain. There's a fantastic game being run on fantasy league which is a bit different to the normal fantasy football with groups and different competitions. Give it a try, and if anyone wants to join a league let me know and i'll give you the code. Fantasy football is magic.
