  1. we can still loan players to Div I, Div II and below until the end of the month, right? so there's still room and time for outgoings...
  2. It was Wil Trapp from Columbus Crew. HARD PASS - Manager favorite for the US national team since the new gaffer took over (who previously managed the same club side Trapp is at) and has truly stunk it up in 2019. He has not been able to step up in quality against better than MLS competition.
  3. BLACKBURN v READING Blackburn: Raya, Nyambe, Smallwood, Armstrong, Rothwell, Graham, Mulgrew, Bell, Lenihan, Evans, Bennett, Subs: Leutwiler, Samuel, Nuttall, Downing, Travis, Hart, Conway Reading: Mannone, Yiadom, McShane, Moore, Bacuna, Baldock, Aluko, Meite, Bodvarsson, Blackett, Kelly Subs: Walker, O’Shea, Meyler, Swift, Barrow, Sims, McNulty
  4. as much as I enjoy watching this MB consume itself with opinions grand and weak, I would think by now any discussion piece that questions success or not is meaningless without a poll... ? that said, while I will reserve my opinions (for now) until the end of the month, as far as I'm concerned, NOT signing Jason Lowe again is by far the best news of the entire window
  5. From Skysports football transfer centre BLACKBURN LAUNCH FREEMAN BID Blackburn have launched a £4m bid for QPR midfielder Luke Freeman, according to Sky sources. Middlesbrough and Sheffield United have previously showed interest in the player.
  6. WIl Trapp MLS info some comments from the MLS world: 1) MLS transfer window shuts at 559 AM GMT on Thursday, so any deals need to be sorted by tomorrow 2) he's an academy graduate for his current club, which is rather rare on this side of the pond 3) he does have 6 caps for the US, but surely that raises questions about a work permit. He has, however, captained the national side for the recent friendlies before the world cup 4) the team he is on is rumoured to be changing cities (Owner threatened to move if the city didn't build a new stadium). it is possible the player has told the management he does not want to follow them
  7. Tugay in the news... Skysports reporting Tugay to be Asst Manager at Galatasaray Romanian football great Gheorghe Hagi will succeed Frank Rijkaard as coach of Turkish giants Galatasaray. Galatasaray announced in a statement on Thursday that Hagi will sign a contract with the club in Istanbul on Friday. Media reports suggest Hagi, who won the Uefa Cup as a player with Galatasaray ten years ago and coached the team in 2004-05, has agreed a one-and-a-half-year deal. The club also confirmed former Galatasaray and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tugay Kerimoglu will be Hagi's assistant.
  8. once again we are an enigma in the ranks while a victory will be crucial to bring us momentum going into the festive period, it's really hard what to make of the squad because of the injury sitution I'd like to say this match should be a victory, but I won't. my reaction would like to say that the barcodes sans Souey seem to have our number, but that's not correct either. So I'll hold for middle ground on a very nervy 0-0 draw to both sides a nice 2-1 victory the following week against upstart Reading will suit me much better
  9. Charlton 0 Rovers 2 don't care about the goal scorers this time - I just want the 3 points
  10. for the "must-win" matches this year, our scoring has come from two main sources Rovers 2 Fulham 1 McCarthy McBride Bentley
  11. Rovers 2 Spurs 2 McCarthy Keane (2) Nonda and Mido to be sent off
  12. but we've played well at home, but probably not well enough with the injuries around Old Trafford should be a different war Rovers 2 Manure 3 Bentley Saha (2) McCarthy (own goal - Mokoena) may the force be with us!
  13. Villa 2 Rovers 1 (McCarthy)
  14. Rovers 1 FC Basel 0 Jeffers (really)
  15. Peter in for MGP (injury) Rovers 0 Chelsea 1 J. Cole from a yard Kalou nutmegged Henchoz
  16. West Ham 2 Rovers 3 Tevez 2 McCarthy, Roberts, Emerton
  17. Blackburn v Bolton? 0-0 draw, just like last year
  18. Wisla 1 Rovers 2 (Pedersen & Bentley)
  19. So the .biz became .co.uk I see - ah, only gone for a few days then Since Brad is back for this one, it limits the damage Battle of Norway... Liverpool 1 (Riise) Rovers 1 (Pedersen) I somehow think Ooijer will be sent-off, this time without actually fouling anyone, but the refs won't seem to mind - if only they did the same for that Cannibal bloke on Chelsea too... but, a cheeky "foul" on Savage will allow MGP's free kick and Liverpool will squander about 80 chances I do predict - NO BROKEN LEGS this weekend
  20. Rovers 2 SV Salzburg 1 McCarthy Ooijer
  21. Boro 1 Rovers 2 (McCarthy and Nonda)
  22. 2-1 Rovers McCarthy & Reid for us Dickov for them and I predict another yellow for Ooijer
  23. Sheffield United 0 Rovers 2 McCarthy & Gallagher
