  1. You gone soft? Riverside’s absolutely fine
  2. Wasn’t at the game but credit to those 2700 or so who went. I get the anti-Eustace protest because he let us fans down just when we were dreaming of a cracking end to the season. However his post-match comments about the players, staff and fans point the finger of blame for his departure firmly at the board, the owners and their appointed management. They are the ones to blame for a failure to capitalise on a brilliant start to the season, not JE. Seemingly it was no different with JDT. Naturally, as a long suffering Rovers fan, I’m still hoping we can get back on track but feel that this season could be a watershed for Rovers that hopefully will lead to a change of ownership. We can’t continue with such a toxic relationship between those who support the club and the owners. Something has to give! RTID
  3. Let’s get behind the new manager and the team. It’s not been plain sailing so far this season but the fans have been great in their support which Ismael can expect to continue if he gets the team to continue the good work.
  4. We all know it doesn’t really matter who the manager is. The Rovers manager wheel of fortune never stops on the jackpot prize (because its rigged)
  5. All comes down to money. . We can’t afford the top managers so we’re just going for a manager with Championship experience (as we did with Eustace). Would have preferred a quicker appointment but two wins by Lowe sort of delayed things. Anyhow, lets see how things play out
  6. Can’t believe we actually won 6 games on the bounce this season. Or was it just a dream and now waking up to a nightmare?
  7. Doesn’t look like a cup upset is on today. Maybe at Plymouth!
  8. If Eustace says his goodbyes to the fans at the final whistle then he needs applauding. He’s done a great job without the right tools (my wife’s words). Who can blame him if he goes to a normal football club that is prepared to back him.
  9. FA Cup not as important as the league I’m afraid. Progressing to the 5th round and possibly beyond will not make up for the failure to capitalise on our excellent start to the season by not adding quality to the squad at the beginning of January not the beginning of February.
  10. Let’s wait and see how these guys perform. Can’t do any worse than that shambles on Tuesday at QPR!
  11. My daughter works for the certain rail company too and can’t believe they still use faxes. Personally I can’t see the problem with digital tickets but have to say, the Rovers website is very clunky and can understand some having difficulty.
  12. Have to give QPR and their manager full credit for the win. Stopped us playing and they played some neat football. A few questionable challenges that weren’t given as fouls but thats the way the cookie crumbles sometimes when you’re away. Brittain and Beck were well tied down which seemed to be a deliberate tactic. Chair is just quality and wish we had him.
  13. Maybe time to close this thread and reopen it after we have seen all the new signings and team perform in a few matches time?
  14. If we sign anyone it has to be a striker. Not taking anything away from Gueye, Dolan or Weimann but they are just not scoring enough goals. Someone in the Rhodes mould (but with pace) would have had a pan full by now.
  15. A thoroughly depressing messageboard after yet more injuries and failure to strengthen the team (yes I know there’s still time). As many have said, the owners don’t seem to understand that the only way of ever getting their investments back is by investing in the squad particularly when we have a manager who is performing miracles. Had we got players lined up to sign at the beginning of January we may have taken points from games we have lost and not had to flog to death the likes of Travis, Tronstad, Baath, Brittain etc. Rapidly getting disillusioned with the Rovers set up and the rationale for making a 100 mile round trip every home game is becoming questionable. Come on, sort it out.
  16. Thanks. Must have been a bad injury as he’s been out for months
  17. Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere but what’s the situation with Sigurdsson? Injured, frozen out, refusing to play….? we really can’t afford to have players of his quality not available.
  18. Still hoping that the club can back the manager but it’s not looking great. If we leave our transfer business to deadline day then we know what will happen, don’t we? i know we have been incredibly unlucky with injuries in recent weeks and can’t hope to replace them with new signings but the focus has to be on central midfield and up front. Or is that too much to ask? The time for investment has come Venkys .
  19. These comments are not reflected in the support he gets from the Blackburn End when warming up on the edge of the pitch. i don’t know why Buckley is being called out for a bad attitude but slagging off one of your own players is hardly going to make him play better or be appreciated by the fans. Opinion on his ability and selection for matches is divided but from my experience he always gives his all when asked to play and deserves our support. Spent some time in hospital a few years ago and Buckley was one of the Rovers players who was happy to record a video sending me his good wishes for my recovery which were much appreciated. Thankfully I’m still here to give him and all Rovers players my support.
  20. Yes Travis started training. Carter 3/4 weeks away. Window hasn’t shut YET!
  21. Yes all doom and gloom. Let’s all not bother attending matches. I guess its the club’s fault that we currently have six senior players unavailable through injury or a loan player is recalled. Eustace has stated he needs players so let’s see what transpires before we commit harakiri!
  22. Jeffrey Schlupp the ideal replacement
  23. Can’t get too wound up about their celebrations. It shows that they take wins against us as an achievement. It’s good to have some serious rivalry and we would do the same had we won. As for the match, it was always going to be a struggle against a good team and missing several key players. The defeats at Millwall and to Hull are more damaging and we need to get back on the winning trail very soon. Hopefully with a stronger squad.
