ACD has a lot of skill but he’s always cutting in on his left foot when he could be taking players on the outside.

We could play JRC or Brittain at left back (we have before I recall? ) and push Beck further forward. Whoever plays in defence needs to get hold of Palmer who has the potential to cause problems.

Strange game today with both teams happy to launch high balls forward which didn't really suit our style. When we did try to play on the floor we were quickly closed down and forced into giving the ball away. Not much between the teams but felt Millwall had the edge going forward which inevitably won them the game albeit against 10 men. Hopefully the injuries to Travis and Pickering aren't too bad.

We can’t afford to restrict allocations to away fans regardless of who we are playing but I suspect it’s on police advice, safety blah blah blah…

No doubt they will have to wait until the match referee arrives for any decision to be made. If he’s travelling then the pitch inspection could be later rather than sooner. Not much good for the Pompey fans who will be en route.

The guy needs some time in the U21’s or whatever they call the reserves these days. If he can’t get any goals to increase his confidence at that level then he's not likely to at Championship level. Either way the priorities for January have to be a striker and a pacy winger

A shame we’re resorting to kick off times to offset the debate about how poor we are up front and whether Cantwell should play as a #10 or #11 (despite the fact he has #8 on his shirt). Unfortunately early kick off times are the price we have to pay for the Sky money but at least if we can’t attend we can watch on TV.

A shame that this game was settled by a dubious penalty. Hedges didn’t have chance to get his arm out of the way so unlucky in that respect. What happened to deliberate hand ball? It was always going to be a tough away game but at least we put up a reasonable show limiting Watford to half chances. A draw would have been fair. The performance was 100% better than the last two away games but we still lack that killer instinct in front of goal. Gueye is not the answer to our striking problems as apart from causing their central defenders some nuisance, he did little else.

If we can maintain our early season momentum and get to January in a decent position (top half) we absolutely need to add quality to the squad. A couple of players with pace would make a big difference.

Which is why the offside rule is flawed and open to interpretation. If that had happened at Ewood yesterday there would have probably been no doubt that Silva was offside. Keep things simple for referees. If you’re clearly offside then you are gaining an advantage. And don’t get me started on shirt pulling!

I like Gueye but will he be a success? I’m happy to wait and see if we can play to his strengths.

Have to say, Gueye was awful. Give me Sam Gallagher back any day. Dolan too just couldn’t influence the game. I suspect he is a homer, turning it on at Ewood. I was glad to see him substituted by Cantwell, a quality player who should be the first name on the team sheet if he is fit. Full backs are a conundrum. I suspect Britton will be back in at right back when fit. No coincidence we have been weak down the right while he has been missing. The Carter and Weiman combination just doesn’t work and should be ditched. Losing Beck to a senseless red card at Preston has cost us dearly. Pickering, whilst having a reasonable game today is a weak link. Beck is twice the player. Midfield needs some creativity which hopefully Cantwell will provide but we need to find a slot for JRC who always adds something and has an eye for goal. Sigurdsson is a dilemna. A quality player who shoukd be scaring the shit out of opposition defences but somehow rarely does. We’re all naturally gutted at losing the last two games but let’s hope that Eustace can get us back on track after an excellent start to the season.

Fan’s being shafted? A bit of an exaggeration as we have sold out our allocation so those who have bought tickets have made their own mind up. If the clubs get extra income that compensates for lack of gate receipts. But I do get your point. Sky clearly don’t look at the public transport schedules when agreeing their schedules. Issues with staffing on the trains have been causing bigger issues for a long time with folk trying to get to work on time. I maintain that any TV exposure is good. The game will be shown in pubs, bars and clubs not just in the UK but all over the world. If we impress that is good PR. If we only ever play non televised games at Ewood in front of our local but loyal fans we don’t get that chance to impress.

I won’t be at the game tomorrow but can’t understand anyone who has planned to travel on Great British Rail (yes it soon will be) as that would be my last choice for guaranteed arrival in Preston. If you are not going by car/coach then it would be very risky relying on public transport on a Sunday morning. As for Sky moving games to non 3pm kickoffs it’s a triple edged sword. Some fans can’t attend/its a hassle. The club gets more money but more importantly it gives us more exposure and if we are doing well that will be invaluable. As for us OF’s who long for Saturday 3pm kick off times well we can cast them to distant memories. Good luck to all travelling and for a Rovers win.

Any Rovers fans going to Preston from West Yorkshire should be aware that the M62 will be closed this weekend for bridge work at Rochdale.

A really solid team performance regardless of the opposition. Yuki stole the show with two quality goals but so many other good individual performances contributed to the result. When you hear the fans in the Riverside starting the chanting you know we have the start of something special (wasn’t me!).

Let’s not get carried away with the idea that Burnley are going to be under strength. They’re not. This will be a very tough game and we will do well to come away with a draw. Hoping we don’t have a repeat of the last game there when JDT didn’t have a clue about what this game is all about.

If you notice the tactic of having 2 men at the corner meant that 2 defenders were drawn out of the box leaving less men defending the corner. Not sure if that gives us an advantage but clearly a planned tactic.
