  1. If we don’t play our strongest side (or as near as) then we will get battered. Newcastle have very little left to play for and will want to win this one. Get into ‘em
  2. Unfortunately pretty possession football with the players at JDT’s disposal was only heading one way - down! Yes the current approach is less exciting but necessary. I hope you are not falling out of love with Rovers now that JDT has gone. Stick with us, we need all the fans we can get.
  3. Can we get Travis back too?
  4. And I’m sure he doesn’t have to prove himself. Despite what many think he is a good player and for some reason JDT couldn’t see that
  5. And he’s playing well. Seems to have a bit more space in the Premier.
  6. Tony Mowbray just announced he is stepping down temporarily from his duties due to a medical issue https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tony-mowbray-birmingham-city-manager-28659515 Get well soon Tony
  7. Get Buckley back in the team if he is fit. i know he’s not a replacement for Adam but he can do a much better job than any others we have available. I like Garratt but he isn’t in the same class as Buckley. We should not have let Travis go either.
  8. I know things are tough for us fans at the moment but is that really necessary?
  9. Really? There’s obviously a risk of Wrexham fans getting into the home areas. Wasn’t it only a few weeks ago that some were complaining about Leeds fans buying home tickets? There’s no real barrier to anyone who wants to attend this match. Tickets are affordable, plentiful and available online, by phone and in person. Yes we may lose a handful of last minute walk on fans but they at least know the score if they want to do that. As if the club deliberately want to stop Rovers fans buying tickets! Don’t make me laugh.
  10. Town have signed this guy. At 6’3” he’ll probably be another formidable defender for us to get past. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68024523
  11. Ennis will most likely do a George Hirst and start scoring for fun as soon as he leaves Rovers
  12. Lightweight footballers sums it up perfectly. Kids learning the game against seasoned pros. Sigurdsson too easily knocked off the ball and frightened to get stuck in. Like him or not, we need a Travis type to give it out a bit. Oh wait! We had one but lent him out.
  13. Some good points river but we are in danger of dumbing down the squad to fit a certain way of playing with players who clearly either aren’t up to it or just don’t have the experience. Travis and Buckley are experienced Championship players (I may regret that statement if they leave) who can certainly do a good job at this level but are being cast aside because JDT doesn’t rate them.
  14. Buckley is definitely good enough to be playing Championship football. He just needs to adapt to the way that JDT wants him to play. Hopefully he will soon recover from his injury and play a part in rescuing our season that is rapidly going down the pan.
  15. For me I’d have a midfield of atravis, Wharton and Tronstadt. Set up not to concede.
  16. Had to endure that shambles whilst sat with the Town fans. Needless to say I didn’t need to keep quiet as there was nothing of note from Rovers to get excited about. As predicted, Darren Moore had done his homework on our team and made sure we couldn’t play through them. The more we passed it around the more comfortable Town were to hit us on the break. I think the Thomasson/Broughton project has run its course.
  17. Darren Moore will ensure his players try to bully us off the park. Jonathan Hogg in midfield can be quite physical. If we play as we did on Saturday against Watford, a much better team, we should be able to win this game.
  18. A great game to watch and some quality football from our very young squad but we are crying out for an experienced striker. Hopefully we will find some money from down the sofa for one in the January sales. A few players back from injury will help too.
  19. Lots of fans like me live some distance away from Blackburn. It would be interesting if the club published some demographics as they clearly have this information. Another wet and windy drive over the Pennines today. Ugh
  20. Dare I ask why you haven’t been to a game all season Tom? Whilst I agree that the decision to make this match a digital one is a bad one there seems to be a lot of comment from folk who appear to be digitally savvy claiming that they won’t be able to buy tickets for themselves or others. In this day and age, if you are regularly online then it’s likely that you will be able to buy tickets without much problem (if you can pay for them that is)
  21. Let’s not beat ourselves up over a defeat to a team with several ex-Premier League players. Before the stupidity of the sending off we had defended pretty well and could have been level. After that, well there was only going to be one result. IMO we should be playing Travis in games like this, he gets stuck in and unsettles the opposition. Unfortunately Moran, as talented as he is, is too lightweight and easily dispossessed. A three in midfield of Travis, Tronstadt and Wharton (furthest forward) would give us some solidity. Whilst the likes of Gally, Hedges and Dolan are average Championship players they are being badly missed and if out long term they must be replaced in January, albeit with loans.
  22. The Club just have to do a U turn on this poorly thought out decision. I get the fact that most fans will be able to buy online but if there is just ONE fan who misses out on a ticket then that is one too many.
  23. John Bailey, a cracking attacking full back
  24. Yes 3-0 at half time and 3-3 at full time. Nothing changes
  25. To be fair, Leeds fans are pretty loyal considering the length of time they spent in the Championship. A lot of that loyalty comes from their success in the 70’s and 90’s. You can’t doubt their getting behind the team. On the point of sitting with the home fans I recall being in the South Stand when Shearer scored a hat trick. Sitting on our hands without saying a word ensured a safe exit at the end of the game.
