  1. Have spoken to someone tonight, who says its all by Sodexo, and the club just rent them the space. They say its wrong they blamed the club, and advised me to contact the club with the complaint, but also the licencing and have given me their contact details as they work with them.
  2. On another note, not sure where this post goes here we go. I go blues bar pre-match after game, have done for last few seasons. I noted beer prices had increased this season, but it is what is is, well I thought until today. I ordered a jug of Dark fruit, and was told £19.20. I little perplexed why it had increased by £1.20 since the last match. I checked the tariff chart, which is a legal requirement to be displayed in all establishments which serve alcohol and is also a legal requirement to the licencees licence for compliance. Upon reading the tariff which had my total drinks price at £18, I challenged the bar manager, and reminded him of the legal requirements and asked for an explanation. In fairness to him, straight he away he stated he knew it was Illegal, had challenged the club over this when they put the prices up today, without changing/displaying the new tariff. He immediately ripped down the 3 tariff posters down (baring in mind its a legal requirement to display this) I was quite annoyed, that the prices had again increased, but also despite the non -compliancy which can end in a big fine, and sanctions, they felt it was okay to continue over-charging. Above may look trivial, but everyone who has gone in a very busy blues bar today has been shortchanged.
  3. Can have no complaints today, tactically out mastered by Pearson and Bristol out played us in every department. Scoreline flattered us. I'm still quite concerned about us tactically. We were good mid-week, but today were put right in our place.
  4. In the end some deals happen, some don't. I imagine rovers target list was very large, very well researched and was already in place prior to arrival of JDT and GB. The fact styles has gone on loan with no option suggest no-one met Barnsley's demands, so they keep the asset and send his wages elsewhere., whilst picking up a loan fee. Transfers is an ever revolving dartboard. We tend to hear about the ones that happened, the ones we were linked with, but very few of the ones we moved for. Names would of been getting thrown at rovers for weeks, discussions have gone on for weeks with the ones we actually got. I'm confident the information was correct, This window of all windows has been the hardest to get really good information. As some posters will confirm who i chatted with off line, we discussed a number of players. I knew Hirst was happening Saturday, but having been burnt before i was unsure if to post it but opted to do so, as its a discussion board. I knew we were in for a player from abroad and that was going to happen, (did post it on here) but just couldn't get the name, it was water tight. I didnt have any inclination on Szmodics or Hyam, until it came out. I knew the asking price for BBD was £20 mill plus add ons, as that had been communicated to me, I also knew that was non negotiable and maintained throughout he would be here come Saturday. I think going forwards we will hear less and less regarding transfers, which is exactly as it should be.
  5. Given Zidane made his full debut for us last night, we kept BBD, and after seeing our other windows, im seriously grateful with what we ended up with. We have a lot of attacking options, we have january, we can only pick 11 players. I think we'd always like more, but seriously its been very good.
  6. Whichever way I look at it, one of our best windows under Venkys. Retained our key players who are under contract. Stuck to their guns in BBD, who at no point asked to leave or indicated he'd like to. They own the club, they pay our debts, they fund the lack of income through gates/sponsorship and despite willing to let him walk away for free, have backed the new manager in this window. Signed 6 players with 3 perm, 2 loans with option to buy and 1 loan from Liverpool in Morton who has exceptional potential. There are lots and lots of things we can hit the club with a big stick over, but how we have gone about our business this summer, and what we have ended up with going into the next few months is far more than i expected. There are clubs out there right now who have outsold season tickets etc etc whose fans will be very disappointed with their own business. With the emergence of some of the academy, Adam Wharton in particular, there is far more to be positive about than perhaps we sometimes give credit for.
  7. This is how it works, bid comes in say £15 mill. SW - Suhail, I know they said £20 mill plus add ons but should we let them know about this bid? SP- Not a good time Steve, they have a lot on and the remit of when we contact them is clear. SW- thing is Suhail, if this bid gets bigger tomorrow we are leaving ourselves no time to bring replacement in, or know what that reinvestment number looks like. SP - I hear what your saying and its entirely up to you, but if we bother them with this when its been made clear what the number is, it aint going to look good on either of us. SW- I see your point, reject it
  8. Tickled me this one, and totally agree on Gallagher
  9. I know i didn't get duff info on Styles, I had it comfirmed at both ends, with CEO of blackburn a decent enough source i think? and the players agent the other. I have heard zero to say that deal does not happen, although when you read things you get some doubts. I had similar doubts when i said Rothwell was not going January, when most including the papers said it was done, i stuck to what i believed though and it proved to be right. Things change all the time in football, and some of the delay has 100% been the possibility of a BBD sale meaning we had more to spend and other targets suddenly become attainable. That sale is a far away now than it was when the summer started. Ultimately, things can break down at any time, and no-one including the clubs or players can say something will 100% happen until its done. Thats football.
  10. All these players we went for weeks ago, things need to fall in place.
  11. Thats 5 in 3 to go, Styles perm, need to really push this through now. Foreigner- dunno who And one more. Sticking neck out, i'd say BBD stays, been absolutely no movement or discussions with clubs or player.
  12. Think Hirst will prove to be astute business. With BBD looking increasingly likely to stay too, its actually good to see that we are signing players without the need to sell as per the clubs suggestions all summer
  13. Samuel Edozie not one first team appearance anywhere, signing for Southampton for £10 mill from Man City
  14. Poor lad will be getting back in his car and going back Leicester, never seen so much grief over a possible signing. This lad in link made £14 mill move this summer without ever playing a first team game, scored last night too. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/southampton-man-city-lavia-transfer-27392976
  15. Done some brief digging, journo's have had Lewis banded to them, Someone a little more credible says his name did crop up a few weeks back at Rovers and at this stage its no more than a name on an extensive list. He does not believe that has progressed any further at this stage. Did go back to other person who just gave roll of eyes (dunno how to do one of those)
  16. Does not mean anything that, we were signing Sepp 48 hours ago, things change and change very quickly
  17. Asked a couple of Journo's who say his name been flagged with them too, they are also trying to find out more
  18. Ah that makes sense, not come from inside club the rumour, so will do some digging
  19. Asking about now, to see if anyone else heard his name.
  20. Jamal Lewis possible loan interest, trying to get better source, dont know a lot about him.
  21. As i said yesterday, i'm leaning towards that deal happening.
  22. Double sticker today? Just on Hirst, Leicester value him at £5 million, that does not mean the pre-agreed fee is £5 million. We dont know if there is a loan fee, we dont know the wage contribution. Lets wait for official announcement
  23. Pretty much, similar thing brighton are doing with Van Hecke before they'd consider loan
  24. Only posting my understanding, not endorsing it or saying its bad. If he is rank, we dont need to buy him. If we'd had a loan to buy for Van Hecke for £5 million last season, im sure the comments would of been similar. Now £5 mill for Van Hecke aged 22 is a steal
