  1. It wasnt in a managers capacity, but as i said its not come out of pune sources
  2. Not had any update Re Farke, although director of football certainly ticks the box in terms of model Had heard from another source (uk based) Stuart Pearce's name was be banded about a bit.
  3. We have a manager under contract who is leaving. People tap up managers, players, directors all the time. Names are thrown in the mix all the time. I heard about Farke on the 19th March, and briefly pointed to it on that date on BRFCS. People were convinced TM was staying. Then the market for the new manager came out on who is top of the list when it came out? Yep that be Farke the very same manager who I was told had been identified by India as the chosen one. The search for a manager starts now statement aint exactly going to say it started months ago is it now? I have not seen a single local journalist have a scoop since Andy Cryer left, and the only one that does seem to get close is Nixon, who does have a wealth of connections. If you are relying on dumb n dumber at Ewood, you would be waiting a long time, they dont even know if they still have jobs. Over the years I've seen some pretty good reporting on BRFCS but most dont bother now as they just get grief if it doesnt happen in the timescale some expect. I wouldnt expect a formal announcement of the new manager for at least 4 weeks. What i do expect is more departures first.
  4. I stand by what i stated, i actually put it on here in march, and dont read the papers too much. Once they have a credible source from the decision makers, i may read the papers!!!! Farke is number 1 target, and i have heard nothing to suggest otherwise. Nixon has had some grief, but is actually on the money with his first report. Re other candidates, do you think Waggott will be here July??? Anyway, won't be commenting any further, as its really not worth the effort
  5. Just dont think we should be his latest bus stop, and if anything what has he achieved in all that time?
  6. Had more clubs than Nick Faldo, 19 managerial appointments in 24 seasons, does not sound like the solution to me. Farke, Wagner and Nuno Santo, that's your three Regarding other candidates, Ainsworth, without the rovers connections i'm not too sure he'd be high on that many list its emotions over head. Done a decent job at Wycombe, but rovers is a huge step up and I don't think this would be the right appointment. Houghton, proven but is he an upgrade on TM, im not too sure. All the above though would not matter, if we continue to operate in the manner we do.
  7. I dont know who Waggott is pushing, put i'm sure like those before him, he will have his own suggestions, after all he is the CEO
  8. Where have I said that? Whilst on the subject of back pedalling, are we to now assume that its you now back pedalling or are you still of the view great things are coming, and we should be grateful? Before you answer, remember you walked straight into that!!!!
  9. Please don't mix up my opinions as a rovers supporter, to things I may post which i've heard. First and foremost, i'm a supporter no different to you or anyone else. I may post some things i've heard, but that is not an endorsement that I agree with everything i've heard
  10. To be clear, my opinion on the owners has not changed in 12 years. I want them out, a don't see a world where they will come good, They have destroyed the club I know. Parking the above to one side and putting my supporter hat on regarding the here and now. I think Farke be a great appointment and its their 1st choice, but as I've said previously, its a giant plaster over the greater picture of all that is wrong. They don't give two hoots, them getting flack, something they have not had for some time and because of the giant throne they put themselves on, means in their eyes that their employed minions have not done their job correctly.
  11. Well hopefully his words dispels the myth, that you can believe anything thats said at Ewood. Cosy jobs, cosy paypackets, zero influence, and in place due to the football leagues tick box exercise of having to have registered UK directors. Anyone who gives them an ounce of their time really needs to shake their head. Parasites sucking cash into their banks, and if possible making a quick bob or two on the side Meanwhile thousands of miles away the loons in pune, couldnt give two hoots, never have and never will. The removal of Venkys is when this pain stops and the club can rebuild, until then, we can debate until the cows come home, but it wont change the basket case our club has become.
  12. As far as i'm aware, I don't tend to post any info which is unlikely and I'm at around 95% success rate over the last 15 years. Things change all the time, and i've heard nothing to suggest its changed. Like anything, it will come down to whatever is negotiated, I don't know many skint bookies either
  13. Well credit where credit is due, thats a very bold statement from the new reporter 😀. Some great quotes there from Farke
  14. Pride, don't want to the big wide world to say they've failed. £25 mill losses a season, really is pennies to them
  15. I've taken TM interviews with pinch of salt on the basis. 1. The questions were very leading and not too sure what he could of said differently. 2. If they want to call him, then he aint exactly going to say "don't bother", there has been no fall out, its just come to a natural conclusion with no anomosity from either side. 3. I could put you in the dugout, but unless the whole set up from top to bottom changes, and the process of how we do things, then a manager whoever that is, would be nothing more than a "plaster". In a normal club Farke would be fantastic, and I think he will help sell some tickets and get some results. However if its more cut backs, and downgrades, he would likely walk than stick around. They need to fix what they broke, which is not hard. Football people running the club, making the decisions, and being transparent
  16. 100%, like when they brought in https://www.best-companies.co.uk/the-sports-pr-company-review/ Two weeks later, her client Appleton was appointed. Had much fun with email tennis with her. Her attitude "do you know who I am, who I've represented, the influences I have, the clout in legal matters" Well she ended up running off with her Tail between her legs, when she demanded we didnt release information, that the clubs solicitor had given us, with the authorisation of the club officials. By day 2 she was looking for snookers, and by day 3 she was in a full nelsen begging for submission. Mmmm Appleton didnt last long either. That was the days that the club were answerable to the supporters, how things have changed!!!
  17. We are just too far down their business interest, A growing concern. Their energy and efforts go into what makes them money not what loses it. Their remit to those at Ewood, is cut the losses season upon season, run a tighter ship, show improvement on the financials, and you can stay around. Appease the owners not the fans is Waggott's strategy, because whilst its like that he can continue sucking on the teat. What I want to see, is the supporter groups to start holding him accountable and making his cosey life, less cosey!!!
  18. I 100% agree, and until that changes, they will never move forwards. I've seen first hand, how emails of "You've done well" have been forwarded to the owners, which gives the impression that those in power at Ewood have the support of the supporter base. The PR Machine, is a machine which they buy into
  19. Problem here Revidge, is whoever has been at Ewood over the last 12 years have all stated the very same things "Big changes are coming, honourable people, money provided for charities, Money and care provided for life saving operations, aid given that no-one knows about to the council, for the Cathedral in Blackburn, for local Mosque etc etc. The community work is something that has always been done through the club and BRFC Community trust, its always been excellent, its just been promoted far more this season as news. As someone who officed for work at Ewood up until a few months ago, I've seen first hand the fantastic work the trust does, they are great people and open their doors for everyone. Children going to Ewood, is something again the club has always done, the difference this time, is the sponsored coaches and partners to push through, and a dedicated community officer. Now this "Hang their head in shame comment" what's that all about? Lots of people do things with the club, be that Mark at Envelope works that sponsors most of the matches, the fans forum who speak to club monthly, the various supporter groups who speak with the club, various corporate sponsors who are chucking money into many initiatives. If people where transparent, then they would get support. Many very wealthy people have had meetings with various board members at Ewood, put together professional presentations offering help, assistance to the owners of this club. Many of which are supported by some very influential people both nationally and globally, some of which have met the Rao's but its all fallen on death ears and they have zero interest in engaging. Their culture and class status, includes BRFC Employee's needing to bow in their presence, who can only speak when invited to do so. I don't think there is a single person who does not want their best for Rovers in the supporter base, although there are many who do so to suit their own agenda, to gain traction to try and get on the board. I look at it this way - Travel to London via Australia, or just go direct to London. There is a lot of help out there in our supporter base, a lot of experience in dealing with the club, and a lot of learning from the experience. I see things like promoting people to buy sponsorship at the club, which is very admirable, but the problem in that approach is you are leaving behind the most important stakeholders, which is the supporters, which without, the club cannot exist. If the current board leave in a few weeks, does that mean all those efforts where for nothing? The reason I ask, is anybody further down the chain has zero influence or direct link to the owners.
  20. Well that's an hour of my life I won't get back reading through the last god knows number of pages, I'm quite perplexed where all the Vitriol is coming from aimed at Mowbray, He has stated in public there had been no conversation until today, and if anything that would of been a damage limitation chat from Swaggott who has a number of media outlets chasing him down for comments. He want's to be armed with "It was Tony's decision", nothing to see here, we are drawing up a list of replacements. Nothing has changed since my last post, where this list of 6 has come from, that's the idiots probably at Ewood pretending they run the club!!!!!. I'm 100% confident that the Rao's see Farke as their chosen man to move this forward, whilst they are also a little upset that they've come in for flack, for the lack of a chat with Mowbray given they pay people could money at Ewood including a PR Department and board members to address these matters. History has its way of repeating itself at Rovers, and the Rao's do not like being made to look stupid by the incompetent at Ewood. I'm hopeful that any further discussions with the new manager elect, is not done by the plonkers at Ewood, as they are as likely to blow it up, than to actually get it over the line. If we go back in History, when Rovers where negotiating the signing of Jordan Rhodes, everything bar the finer details where done before the board got involved, only for them to allow 2 additional agents to get in on the action at the last minute meaning three parties got commissions on the deal. It may now be a new board, but BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING
  21. Think this was really good of the club, Rovers is embedded into the community and it appears there has been a massive uptake and its been well recieved.
  22. Just what I've been told, as I tweeted Honeyman during the week, things have a way of landing in the right ears, so it is foolish of him to think otherwise. I guess the proof will be in the pudding, but I've no reason to doubt the intel
  23. I think over the years, many of us have been fed absolute complete B/S, from different people both within and around the club. I think we all hear different things to whichever the wind blows, or what meets the agenda of those who tell us. I would say with confidence that over the last 12 years on certain things, they have shown they have learnt, and are not slow at jumping in, if they are being lead down the garden path. They are known to have intercepted a number of things which have gone on at Ewood, and those who tend to be involved tend to have their card marked. I genuinely feel (just my opinion) there is two worlds at Rovers. There is the Ewood world, which quite clearly runs the day to day operations at Ewood, but they knowingly know that any statement of intent they make, they can't realistically back up. They don't have the autonomy to make those decisions and can authorise very little. From a financial point of view, they literally cannot sign anything off bar a few grand, and even then justification must be shown why. Then there is the Venkys world, where they are involved in multi multi million pound businesses where Rovers is just one of many and not their centre of the universe. Its why things take an age, because its not a case of "quick phone call into india"? I don't know if its a status thing, or a culture thing, but the thought people including Suhail make contact and tell them, "you need to do this," and they go okay, is probably much wider from the mark than we could possibly imagine". I think the big mistake most have made at Ewood during their time in either the managers, board, advisors seats is they don't actually rock the boat with honest analysis of whats going on or what needs to be done. I think they have more honest conversations during the visits to india, but even then its a lukewarm version with those delivering the message far more interested in keeping their own jobs. If anyone told me it was raining outside from within the Ewood Senior management, then i'd need to check for two reasons. Reason one, they have as much control over what happens at rovers as they do the weather. Reason two, they will try and always paint the picture you might want to hear to get you on board, and some of it is well intentioned, however they know as they tell you, that what they are telling you is in hope rather than fact.
