  1. I don't think HSH Will be involved in the appointment of a manager going forwards, I'm sure their recommendations will be going in, but those emails/calls may just be unreturned!!
  2. I think he is the outstanding candidate. Knows the division, good age, plays good football and has won promotion from it. Its a solid source, in as much they said Rothwell wouldnt be going, and I ran with it, and ultimately he didnt go.
  3. I guess it will come down to what recommendations come from ewood too, (someone please unplug the fax) Its my understanding that Farke was not proposed out of Ewood, and this could be a turning point in Venkys ownership and them having a greater understanding of the market and managers. Just hope he does'nt do a whistle stop tour with the Ewood Board, as they have a great way of stealing defeat from the jaws of victory. I actually think they is more likely than unlikely, and would be an excellent appointment
  4. Not surprised Farke being backed in, heard on 19th March that he was very much in the frame, just hope they don't cock it up, as there is a genuine desire to get it done from both sides
  5. He tweeted something the other day, got four quickfire tweets off me, and very quickly deleted his tweet. Keep pressuring the git, as that certainly rattled him
  6. Highs- Been quite a lot over the last 40 years or so, but my favourite has to be that day out at Wembley when we beat Leicester, loved football back in those days, and yes we went on to bigger and better things, but being there that day was extra special. Lows - The Kean era, and the complete Venky's era.... As a supporter we shouldn't have to worry too much what happens off the pitch, during my time in the 80's 90's and before Venkys, we always had a decent board, who would make the right decisions, would cut the cloth accordingly and 99% of supporters were only interested in what happens on the pitch. Now, we've sold out to owners thousands of miles away, who don't come games, don't let the board manage, and are light years behind most of the football world when it comes to making swift, decisive decisions. I could not care two hoots how much they put in, how much they lose as its all self inflicted and a far cry from the days before they came.
  7. Strange thing, if they sell the proposition as you've written and actually follow it, they've half a chance of succceding. Can you send your CV in?
  8. I will wait for the engine, not the broken spark plug. However If you want an adult conversation i will extend that in person discussion with you, or again request that the masterplan is shared openly, that the objectives are shared, shouldnt be a problem?
  9. I've already asked on a number of occasions Darrenrover to give the big reveal. He has chosen not to, but I will continue to ask. I'm never one to shy away, I'm in the blues bar every match day, so not difficult to find. I also use my own name to post on threads like this. I also dont need an army to come to my rescue when I cannot clearly speak for myself. Hope that clarifies the matter?
  10. Just an observation, I await with baited breathe for the grand revealing, of why we should be positive
  11. I think they are more likely to appoint Sheron, than bring anyone in worth their salt.
  12. Most of us on here have jobs or have had jobs. Some of us, having given our notice at work, others may have been given their notice. However its so very hard to focus on your job if you are leaving. Our fall down the table is a IMO a consequence of players and manager out of contract. The players won't sign whats been offered . Whilst the manager has not even had that chat. TM Came in at a time I genuinely feared the club could you just disappear. Crowds were dwindling, product crap, poor appointment after poor appointment both in the boardroom and the dugout. It looked very bleak. We then got relegated to division 1, one of the darkest days in our clubs history, and as many who have come before us, there was little guarantee of an immediate return. Mowbray managed to keep most of the squad together, add a bit more quality, but importantly take the heat away from the discontent in the stands, and if anything by doing so it protected those in the boardroom, and the loons in pune. We got promoted first time of asking, and not one of us can deny how great that felt, that night in Doncaster as Mulgrew sent us wild. The welcome home the boys got, a packed out ewood against Oxford. Its fair to say COVID, stop start seasons, playing with no crowds impacted a couple of seasons. You only need to look at Liverpool with no crowds and liverpool with crowds. This season despite a much less budget, the boards inability to tie players down to contracts or indeed get them to sign one, it looked for a long period we would get at least the play offs. We can point to formations, poor team selection, injuries, suspensions, poor january recruitment , and a whole host of things of why we've fallen dramatically down the table. We can even point to the fact most had us finishing in the lower reaches of the table in August, and where we actually are, we are actually exceeding those expectations. Having a manager who no-one has had that conversation with will have 100% impacted results on the pitch, how can they expect him to focus? Could you focus?. The positive shoots rovers had, was the manager had taken the heat off those above, whilst the spin doctors at Ewood have convinced a select few that all is rosie in the garden and so much is happening. As I said earlier in the week, as fans our focus needs to be on these last two games, but beyond that unless we replace those in the boardroom and ultimately venkys, this will never be our club again. Yes they pay the bills, yes its been hundreds of millions, but if we have to start again I'd take as the damage is irreparable under their stewardship. We cannot keep saying, Badly advised, naive, honourable people. They are not novices. 12 years they've owned blackburn rovers. I do think if they fooooook this next appointment up, we will return to a very hostile ewood and get to the point of no return with them
  13. But good things are coming, the blueprint plan has been shown to the select few. We have to show our appreciation to India, to the board, to the flag
  14. Feathering his own nest, if he cannot be honest with his friend, then should hang his head in shame and clear his desk too
  15. Fantastic performance, and if we can play like that Saturday and get a result regardless of the QPR game Friday we take this to the last game of the season. If I block out the previous 44 games, i'd have taken that in August. We can talk about the if's, buts, Could of, Should of but that result last night especially clawing back on the goal difference has certainly given the the last two games a pulse. I've posted a lot of frustration, annoyance, and if anything a lot of somewhat negative thoughts the last few weeks. However, i'm going to park all that for now, its all very valid, but now is not the time for the inquest. Waking up with a bounce in my step, excited for the weekend and dreaming the near impossible is a feeling I want to savour, even if its just for a few days or couple of weeks. Sam Gallagher was a warrior last night, he has taken his fair share of grief from me, but will he ever score a more important goal for us? Three academy lads on the scoresheet, Local rivals absolutely tonked in their own back yard. Rothwell, sublime, he maybe off, he may have gone off the boil, but last night he was majestic. Proud of them all after that
  16. Thought this was interesting thread from before a ball was kicked
  17. Yes its great down at Rovers, fans are all on board, here is some videos of supporters having a jolly good time in the corporates drinking the beer and wine, with our loyal staff. We have sent them to every corner of social media in disguise to end all the negativity and have told them to show their appreciation to the mother ship. We have a plan in place to replace those who have walked away, didnt need those, upsetting our young players. We have increased the selection of food which has gone down like a treat, sales off the scale. Those shirts with the old sponsor, we've given these as prizes to corporates. We've sold all the shirts we ordered, flew off the shelves. We have not given into pressure on these contract rebels, and will save more wages. We are going to sell Brereton at a massive profit like Armstrong, as we said buy a rough diamond, polish him and sell at big returns. We've Gallagher on new contract and should get £25 mill next season for him. We've saved on maintenance, the fans make the mess, so little point in fixing the ground as the safety board have issued no notices, so good to go for another year, will review next summer. We've cemented our position as a championship team, whilst cutting losses and bringing players through. We have signed the Indian Messi, he will be £50 mill in 3 seasons time. We have grabbed hedges, lots of interest in him, we got in early and beat off stiff competition. Hey hang on Steve, we read message boards like BRFCS, whats these unhappy comments?? "Dont read them, this is the racist section of the supporter base, we've always told you that the motivation is due to race and religion, most do not come to the games and the ones that do are not real supporters. Its a very small minority, who throw piro on the pitch and will do anything to breath negativity, we dont talk to or want them fans".
  18. God knows, but the global marketing alone probably made it worth it no press is bad press?
  19. I got a txt yesterday regarding renewal
  20. Yeh i get the usual replies on twitter, some unhappy, and then some completely happy, who tend to resort to name calling, to hammer home the "you are negative, you are ungrateful, you are a muppet theme." Facebook, i dont do too much. I like the debate on here, as it does not usually resort to name calling and every single point/opinion is valid, and no greater or weaker than anyone elses. Keyboard warriors eh? I'm always open to a face to face debate on all things rovers, its funny though, they dont come from behind their keyboards for this, and prefer to hide behind Alias's. I remember when I was a Director at WEC and chatting with WW who couldnt get his head around being abused by internet names like 1875bluethunder, blueraindrops, horrisdorrishovis etc etc. Faceless abuse, by spineless people.
  21. That age bracket was an example rather than a sweeping statement. I too hear less disgruntled on the ownership, especially with us reliant on their funding. The largest statement is the numbers that have walked away
  22. The ultimate sacrifice, and one I admire you for
  23. I think thats more to do with the amount that have walked away. I'm not sure age bracket %s of supporters now, but we do have a lot 15-20 year olds for example. The majority of these are not old enough to remember much pre-Venkys, so they dont have the same anger. I see very few of those that protested for example on match days, the majority of these have walked away as their final protest.
  24. There is just far too much now from owners down happy to accept mediocrity, just taking part, rather any burning ambition beyond existence
