  1. I agree 100% with who we need to sign. We need a few more nasty players in our team for the fight, no doubt about that. Completely disagree about Williams, would be very unnecessary letting him go. He is a decent option at left and centre back. You don't mention a replacement in your potential signings so who covers at left back? I am on the fence about Evans and Samuel. If we got good offers for both I would consider it, but I don't think we will get offered enough that it would actually make sense to release them and then need to find replacements.
  2. Thanks. What would we do without you So four posts later, as I said, I hope we sign some natural wingers.
  3. I just think we should sign some natural wingers, if you disagree that is fair enough
  4. So we sign the two of them and play them on the wings then, ya?
  5. I would call them wingers. Would you like to see strikers played there again next season so?
  6. Mahoney would have played as he is a winger and we ended up playing strikers on the wing for most games. Terrible decision to leave
  7. Toys out of the pram. Bigger players who have achieved far more in their careers decided to put their reputations on the line and stay and fight for the club, Mahoney didn't fancy it. We didn't need him anyway. Arguably he isn't good enough for where we are aiming to be next season anyway. Has proven nothing in his career so far
  8. No doubt he would have bee better off staying. Would have played most games and got assists and goals. Would probably have cemented a starting place for next year too. Terrible move on his part. Another who though the grass would be greener.
  9. Awful squad. Of those that left, Duffy and Marshall aside none of them would get a look in now. Credit to Mowbray for what he has done squad wise. I am genuinely excited about next season
  10. Ya,true ,he has looked different class, been a few yards ahead in his head, no doubt. I suppose we will also be defending more next year. Still he got through this season very well and maybe his first year with us was just unlucky injury wise. I think we need back up for him, but I definitely want him here next season captaining the team, even if his game time is more managed
  11. https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/sol-campbell-greatest-mind-football/
  12. If they replace Mick McCarthy with Sol Cambell it will be up there with the most kamikaze moves in football league history
  13. I don't think we will sell him, but I reckon we will get a number of serious offers(7-10 million) for Dack. He is absolutely irreplaceable and crucial to anything being built at the club, Mowbray hit the jackpot there.
  14. I hope Ipswich appoint Campbell, one less team to worry about next season.
  15. There are many players in the championship and Premier league older than Mulgrew and Graham. I don't agree with you about replacing them at all
  16. Not quite Mystic Dogg, but not far off. I didn't fancy Wolves, very wrong and massively underestimated Milwall. Still could get 2 out of 3 from both promotion and relegation
  17. Ya, I think Fulham will get second too. Agree about Villa winning play-offs if that is the case, although you never know, Boro might have a chance. I suppose the thing for Cardiff is both teams they play have nothing to play for. The games against Wolves and Villa were severe blows for Cardiff, will be some achievement if they manage to hang on in there. Fulham will massacre Sunderland, 5-0 job that.
  18. Getting tight at the top. I hope Cardiff hold on in there and Fulham win the play-offs. If they swap places, I can't see Cardiff winning the play-offs. I dislike the other teams in play off contention, particularly Villa. Who ya'll tipping?
  19. We have a solid base of good players to build on; Raya, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bennett, Smallwood, Dack and Graham could all start next season and I would have no complaints. Thats a solid 7 players who will perform most weeks and give at least a 7 out of 10 performance. Outside of them then we have good squad players in; Nyambe, Williams, Bell, Leutwiler, Conway, Samuel, Downing and Evans So after the loans go back, I wouldn't be too sad if Whittingham, Caddis and Gladwin left as well. This will leave us needing 4 strong and athletic players who can come in and start week in week out and give a minimum of 7 out of 10 performances. Teams don't get promoted without that. Squad wise, I would promote some of the under 23s. That leaves us requiring strong signings for the following roles; centre midfielder , 2 wingers and a striker. If we get those 4 signings right, we will have a strong team. Big summer ahead, but I have confidence in Tony
  20. It's my assessment of McNair. We are discussing a player, nothing personal. No need to be so precious...Paddy
  21. Yes and and he did badly in those games hence why he was A-sold to Sunderland and B- just relegated to league 1. San Marino played against Germany too, doesn't mean we should be signing their players. Evans is better than McNair
  22. Woaw, wait a sec, has more experience of what exactly? Are you sure you are thinking of the right player? He has been a part of an absolutely awful Sunderland team and hasn't stood out for that matter. If you do want competition for Smallwood, fair enough, but I wouldn't say Paddy is your man
