Such a fan of John Eustace. Said it last year I'd take this style of footy over the suicide stuff and I stand by it. Might not be pretty at times but it's mostly competitive and when it is you have every chance of nicking a win in this division. Back 4 did very well today. Pears again looking composed which is great to see. Nothing major to do. Thought Trav was brilliant, was like a wasp and was driving forward the whole game. Tronstadt industrious. Reads the game very well and shields the defence very well. Cantwell showed how good he can be with that assist and a few other flashes, would like to see a little more consistency but he is luxury and happy we have him. Hedges was poor, don't mind him in the squad but need more. Ohashi was busy but very little threat. Dolan was poor, slow and laboured, miss an absolute sitter and wasteful in possession.

Dolan has at least one of those misses a season. Absolutely shocking miss. He could have his own competition for miss of the season.

Pears, Trav and Weimann played excellent. No one was poor really. Stupid moment from JRC, could have cost us. Super finish from Baker. Should be used more Gueye and Buckley not up to much regardless of it be a cameo. Delighted to get the win 😁

If you have some sort of affection for JDT then you fill your boots but if you can't see that Eustace has been very very good since arriving then I apologise to you.

Not strange at all. You were happy to praise him for a good first season then make excuses for the second. That's strange if anything. He couldn't get a tune out of the players when the going got tough. He was taking us down.

I think some loved the idea of JDT ball, it was alot rarer than we tell ourselves. Highlights being Leicester and the Sheffield united win at Ewood when Pickering scored the winner. There was other moments but my lasting memory of his reign is the amount of goals we gifted the opposition from constantly messing around at the back, the amount of late goals we conceded and the inability to get a result when we conceded first. Give me Eustace and this football any day. JDT nearly bright is down, it took Eustace to pull us out the shit and now he has us in the playoffs positions after 11 games and unbeaten at home. Credit where it is due.

Happy to watch it all day. Intriguing and competive. Resilient and players working their nuts off.

Beats the suicide football of the clown that preceded him. Eustace doing a great job, take that type of performance and result all day over a loss but some pretty football at times. No thanks.

Beck been really impressive. Calling out for a decent left back for years. Gueye been useful holding it up but we have been wasteful once he has laid it off. Can't well busy but uncharacteristically sloppy, same for Dolan. Need to settle it down second half and not invite them on or the inevitable will happen.
