  1. there are not looking to sugn any big names, so that must mean that there think benni is a small name in footballing terms stay where you are pal
  2. in this case its dowm to the club, if the player leaves, everyone has there price and no doublt MH has a price for him, however its down to blackburn rovers this time, so MH will do want is best for the club, and to date he has done a very very good job, so relax fellow members have a great summer and leave it in MH hands
  3. if we sign him, mark my words, he will be a very good forward player
  4. for the money that we paid for him a good player for a great price
  5. wait a bit, he has not moved yet. MH has stated that the money for him is too low and he might play for us on sat-day
  6. well nice one rovers someone who can be our long time play maker, just as to get fit and stay fit
  7. can we please stick to the theme as for nonda I think that we should sign him, if the fee is ok
  8. in order for the club of our limited money, one or two of the youth side of the club as to develop into first team players, of which todate most of them have not. however we must take the season as a whole, and we have been a mixed team todate. At time we are good at time very bad. The outcome of this is that while I do not think we will go down we will be in the botton end of the table. That could change if we spend well in jan. However so far. most of the spending is done at the start of the season, so heres hoping that, that is not the case.
  9. good to get a point, you can always tell a side strengh by theirs subs and theres were a lot stronger then ours. why is mgp picked I though he had a bad game, and the goal came about due to his wild kick at goal which went for a throw in. it was a pen, contact was made but a red card never, and if there had a pen for that, then it was a pen for the hand ball. our forwards have to learn to hold the ball up, something that we lack at the momement.
  10. the problem that we had against man utd is that if any teams mid field is so much better then the other teams, that puts pressure both on the defence, and the attack. man utds mid field was better then ours. good players make space for themsevles, and they mid field players had time where ours did not, expect tugs. hence we had no chance our defence were under pressure and the attack were toothless due to the lack of mid field input. the answer, we need mid field players who can both battle and play, yes we have players who can either battle or play but not both. these players cost a lot but they are out there we just have to find them and spend the money wisey one player we missed went to aston villa now he is a good midfield shame we missed him.
  11. it was never a pen, however rovers to me did lack a bit of bite in the middle of the park, and while I do unsderstand that if MH could find the right player at the right price, then he was right in not buying yet. However the key word is yet. Come Jan we will need another midfield player and cover for both full backs. mean while we can but keep on going and just battle through this. Look at West Ham and how in two games there whole season now looks different, and with two wins in a row the same can happen to us.
  12. for me you should always have a player on each post. Also its important to attack the ball at set plays and corners, some thing that rovers do not always do, and to end with even if you cannot get the ball you put pressure on the attacking players at all times. As for sunday well if gray is our cover for full backs, we are lost, in the past I have stated that he is not a bad players, however is legs have gone as is his pace and for a full back that is time to call it a day. For there first goal Zurab went to win a high ball half way up the pitch did not make good contact and we are one down. second half far better but all puff and not much outcome, so roll on thurday
  13. just to put this into context, looking at this season I was hoping to go to a number of games, however my firm has just given us our pay rise of 1.95% and thats take it or leave. Has this is some what lower them we all throught it would be, cuts backs will have to be made and therefore on my list rovers has gone dowm a bit further. Now I do not want people to feel sorryfor me/us, its ok we will cope, but its just that fans should know that even at lower prices, its sometimes hard to find the money. So before people saying giving people stick for not going, just think about your comments first and before anyelse states that I should get a better education and earn more I do have a BA hon 2.1. so roll on sunday and lets win
  14. a good game and a great result, all the players played well expect mpg. I think it might be time for a re think with him, but thats for the future, nice one rovers.
  15. a good point indeed and a word for the ref, we all go mad them there have a good game. Well The ref had a very good game and used his commom sense which is rare in todays football so nice of ref
  16. Fair play to the club and yes at £15 for a good seat I will be going. and I hope so will many others.
  17. now that we through to the group stage, now much money will the club make. A great win and a great match welkl done to all
  18. well i think that he will come good, and by all acounts it has started with todays game
  19. the captain arm band should not go to any player who does not want his future to be at the club.
  20. well I for one think that there will miss rovers just as much as we miss them. And as for CB I do not think his move to liverpool will work out as good as he thought it would.
  21. a great chap, but £2.5 mill I could not belive it, and the money will do very nicely in jan
  22. the only thing that he did that was wrong was to take such a long time is saying no. if any player does not want to go to a club that fine, but just say no it does not take weeks to do that.
  23. for me the heart of any team is the midfield, win that and its easy to defend and to plan attacks, lose the midfield battle and you have want we had today, a no show. We need someone who can both defend and attack from center midfield, the problem is they cost a lot, but boy we need one. AS for neil I know its only the first game, but if that is his chossen postion, then all I can say is good bye, he was bad very bad. As an ex center half and full back I was taught that you do not dive in until you sure you can win the ball, and hence you should stay on your feet. This he did not do, and as for reading of the game well, he must be half blind. The forwards cannot be blamed with that kind of service they had no chance. As for wed-day well for people paying up to £36 I do hope that there play a lot better because they need to
  24. so lets get this right the clubs and players have a free market and get the most that they can do so. however when it comes to the fans the free market does not apply and lets get the police invoved. what is killing the game and rovers is the pay that the players get.
  25. to jan thanks for the imput for the record I get sky for the whole family and not just me I work every other saterday so A season ticket is not an option however it still stands that for the cheapest seat there are very limted and the view is not good. so the fact is either I can watch rovers and stop sky in which case the whole family loses out, or I have sky and rovers lose out. AS I have had its about decsions, and I am happy with mine
