  1. Cardiff Station is only a few minutes walk from the Millenium Stadium. I have great faith in British Rail......
  2. Give Dickov a break for god's sake. He will never be the best striker in the world but he's been bloody good for this season. Without Dickov's goals where would we be? He's scored nine goals in the league and one in the cup, goals get you points and Dickov's got us that. Stead has scored one goal this season, a good goal as well but if Stead had been that brilliant as some members are suggesting then surely he would have scored more than one goal?
  3. Exactly, the prices were never going to be cheap, if we get to the final, will the prices remain the same or become more expensive? I'm going for the £25 tickets. Train leaves Blackburn at 7am and arrives in Cardiff at 11.51am.
  4. Thompson hasn't impressed me that much this season. Against Arsenal summed it up. Thompson does have the ability to play well however, at times he doesn't know when to release the ball. For too long he holds on to the ball for too long and doesn't pass it when he should and tries to do something fancy, not good enough.
  5. I think some are un-fair on Dickov with all this criticism. Dickov works his socks off every game, gives 100% every game. When things don't go for Dickov, like any other striker he gets frustrated. Dickov does moan to the officials but he's no worse than any other player. He scores the winner at Bolton in December and most were praising him, now some are having a go at him. Dickov will never score and get regular chances whilst we continue to play this formation.
  6. Wasn't really a good game. We looked tired and ran out of ideas really. Started the game of really well, had a few decent chance in Thompson and Pedersen. Their goal was what Arsenal are about, they play in three/four passes threaded through and eventually they break through, defensively we were ball watching. Second half was a bit dissapointing and we never really got at them until late on. Emerton and Reid with both chances, should have done better. Dickov looked tired and can't do the job up front on his own, but works his socks off all the time. Reid I thought was the man of the match, never stopped working, getting tackles in and trying to create something. Arsenal did go over too easily but what did you expect? It's not like they haven't done it before and Poll should know better. No wonder they've been knocked out of the Champions League. Blackburn 0 - 1 Arsenal
  7. FA CUP - TICKET INFORMATION
  8. Has anyone got the new album by the Stereophonics, Language, Sex, Violence, Other? If so, what do you think of it?
  9. True. Newcastle have had their fair share of problems, as with United with trouble and hooligans in the last few years. And the Soul Crew do turn up the for the FA CUP finals every so often.
  10. Rovers 1 - 1 Arsenal I have a feeling The Axe is going to score.
  11. We're all not happy, the kick off time is pathetic, but after calming down slightly, ranting and raving isn't going to get us anywhere. I've spent a lot on Rovers this season and this game is definitely another game that I don't want to miss. Originally I was hoping to go down on the train to Cardiff with a group of mates however I don't fancy going on the train and risking getting delayed and missing the game. I'm not happy like anyone else, but the F.A don't give one about us, it's life and we've got to get on with it and try and make plans the best way around this. I'm looking for cheapish hotels for Friday and hope to travel down on the Friday afternoon, it's going to cost me more than I hoped, I don't plan to have my semi final weekend spoiled by idiots. I can understand fully if people can't go because of the time etc, but the best way to show our frustration is to hurl abuse at the F.A on the day of the game.
  12. Hughesy, that's a lot easier said than done. It's going to be hard for any Arsenal or Rovers fan to get there in enough time. I would love to go down the night before, soak in the atmosphere, but I can't afford it, simple as. The day itself is going to cost a lot and I can't afford added on extras. I'm going to find a way to get to Cardiff, I have no idea what time the official coaches will set off, so until that's decided I'll wait and see if I can get there. If not I'll get the train to Cardiff, but it's going to be a struggle for everyone for different reasons. And there's no chance we'll sell out.
  13. Not the best game in the world, but we got another crucial point towards Premiership safety. Liverpool never looked like troubling us in all honesty, apart from set pieces, credit to both Stead at the very top of the pitch to Friedel between the sticks, in what he had to do. Todd and Nelsen were fantastic at the back, Reid did a lot of work, closing down and was unlucky. The Axe chopped anyone who went past him. Poor game, but we got a good point and that's what matters. Liverpool 0 - 0 Blackburn
  14. Liverpool v Blackburn Anyone know of any decent pubs?
  15. If anyone has a copy of the L.E.T from last night. On the back page in the sports section, turn into where Jason Whalley does his piece of writing. On that page there in the bottom left corner, there's a bit where it's advertising rooms for the weekend of the semi's for around £85 if I remember, with a contact number.
  16. If the game is a kick off at 12pm it's going to be one hell of a struggle for all fans, both us and Arsenal, especially Arsenal. What time do they bloody expect us to get there? It's a joke, the FA taking the p*** again. Why didn't they make it a lot easier in playing the semi's somewhere else.
  17. I don't care either. We're at the semi's because we deserve to be, we've beaten every team who we've been drawn against up to this point and that's all you can do. So what, we all know our support isn't great and everyone doesn't expect us to win. We can go to Cardiff with no pressure, it's all on Arsenal.
  18. Matthew Jones's view. Savage retirement saddens Jones
  19. Exactly. I think there's been something bad in the air between them both going back a bit. Out of interest did anyone hear Savage on the phone at around 7pm on Sky Sports News this evening? Savage announces Wales retirement
  20. Arsenal it is then. I wasn't bothered who we were going to get drawn, you've got to beat whoever you've been drawn against. Be interesting to see the build up to Saturday's game, the first thing that crossed my mind when we were drawn was to get The Axe playing on Saturday! Going to be a great occasion. Everyone is going to expect Arsenal to win, which doesn't bother me in the slightest. If we can have every player playing to his potential, knock them about, there's no reason why we can't have a chance. Can't wait.
  21. Scrappy game but deserved it in the end. Credit to the Rovers players, they kept battling on even when it's wasn't going right, shows that there's a good spirit in the camp. I was puzzled at some of the subs Hughes made. I thought Reid and The Axe were doing well and was very surprised why he didn't take Thompson off, why doesn't he pass the ball when he should? rover6, no offence or anything but you do post some c***.
  22. To be honest I couldn't care less how are fans treat the opposition goalkeepers. Boo him, clap him whatever. How the Leicester fans treated Friedel was a bit childish and very original. I laughed at what the Leicester fans chanted whilst Friedel was taking his goal kicks in the second half.
  23. Can't wait for the semi's. I'm going for the cheapest tickets possible in the ground. I'm not bothered which date the game is on and I really don't care who we get drawn. If we want to win the FA CUP we've got to beat whoever comes in our way.
  24. Sour grapes. Leicester came to frustrate us and that's what they did for a good length of the game. They didn't look particuarly good to be honest, they either hoofed it up to De Vries, or on the counter attack. It was a penalty, if Leicester had it up the other end they'd be appealling for it. Leicester were lucky not to be 1-0 down before if Barry had played advantage to allow MGP to score. That's life.
  25. I hope it doesn't come to a replay, but if it did does anyone know what date the replay match could be?
