  1. Well said there. But I have nothing but praise for the way the Ticket Office were with me. I phoned up as I was unable to get to Ewood early enough so I phoned up, took me around 90 minutes to get through from when they told me what position I was in the queue, which was 89th. In my opinion, that's great service.
  2. Yeah I understand that, but they haven't for safety and whatever reasons there are. I'd be more happy to see all Burnley fans in the Darwen End then a few of them scattered round our home areas. Let's hope it isn't a repeat of Celtic in the home areas. But I'm sure the Ticket Office are checking everything they can to prevent it.
  3. There will be Burnley fans in Blackburn areas, it's like there were some Blackburn fans in the Burnley ends at Turf Moor. Only reason why there was no trouble in that sense is because we didn't score, if we had then it might have been different. If there are Burnley fans in Blackburn areas then they run the risk theirselves, it's up to them.
  4. Does anyone know the situation with pubs in town before the game? About Blues being open to 500 Club members only, isn't there like a secret tunnel that connects from the Darwen End to the Jack Walker Stand, and then onto the Blackburn End? I've always wondered what it's for.
  5. Well done to all involved, especially Den. I didn't know much about some of the players who were in contention to get in the Greatest Ever Rovers Team, thanks to the members who described what these players were actually like. I dread to think what the Worst Rovers Team would be like, that would be depressing.
  6. Exactly. Initially when I phoned up I wasn't the happiest being 89th, but there you go. On the phone line it says if you're after position 40th in the queue you are looking up to a wait for over an hour. To be dealt with in the time, considering the position I was in, well done to the ticket office, they improved a hell of a lot.
  7. Fingers crossed it will be a sell out, I know a few friends who are going down tomorrow morning to get them, first chance they had. I'd like to think the fans who are coming who don't often come, if they get to see a change in the performance and style of the side, since Souness left, it be nice to see those fans back, wouldn't be surprised if they did if we managed to get a good result on Tuesday. No matter how you slate the phone/queueing system, I was actually impressed with it. I was 89th in the queue on Thursday morning, and got through in just under an hour and half, so people were getting dealt with very quickly considering. It would be great to see a full house at Ewood, especially for this game. Hopefully we'll make more noise than that lot.
  8. I was on the phone this morning for just under an hour and a half. More than a relief than anything as I was in a rush to get somewhere. I've got them and that's all that matter, I'm not complaining about the phone lines, I was on and I could tell that the club have made an effort in trying to make the service quicker.
  9. was thrown by a guy near me. the bottle didnt half fly onto the pitch. i think it was aimed at the keeper That bottle did land on the pitch. I know that because from where I was, there was an incident in the game, a ball went through for MGP he didn't get the ball and MGP kicked the ball off the pitch as he was still running.
  10. I've just rung up at 9.25, and I'm position 89.
  11. That's what I thought, but didn't know until I got told by the announcement over the phone. Want to claim my seat, don't want to have to sit in another stand for this game. Does anyone have an idea roughly of how many has been sold so far?
  12. I rung up around five minutes before 9am, was 21st in the queue and leaped very quickly to position 5. But, I got cut off. It said that the ticket office will open at 9.30am on Thursday's, so I'll try again then.
  13. That's annoying and un-fair. I go in Blues before most games and why should next Tuesday be any different?
  14. 1 - Alex Ferguson 2 - Roy Keane 3 - El Hadji Diouf 4 - Kevin Muscat 5 - Gary Neville
  15. When the coins were thrown at Valouis and there was a stoppage in play whilst the ref was running to give the coins to the linesman, at that time I felt embarrased in a way to be a Rovers fan. Our club has a good name, most Rovers fans are good supporters who go to matches to support the team. I don't agree with football violence what so ever, I don't agree with violence full stop. But you're never going to get rid of it unfortunaely. The fans who threw coins should be caught, dealt with accordingly. Our club was a racist one at one point with the incidents over Yorke with a few fans, exactly the same with the coins, a few fans. Anyone else notice a bottle thrown on the pitch in the second half, I was towards the James Hargreaves stand, but it looked like a coca cola bottle towards the Bob Lord Stand. If people want to go and fight at matches, they're not going to stop, it's part of football, why don't they go and become a boxer?
  16. I'd say most of the supporters from both Rovers and Burnley are genuine football supporters. There is a minority of 'fans' who do intend to cause trouble from both clubs. Yes there were idiots from Rovers at Turf Moor, but it doesn't take a genius to work out that they were going to be stupid. I expect the same from some Burnley fans at Ewood. What the difference is, the game at Turf Moor was an early kick off. At Ewood it's in the evening, plenty of time for both sets of supporters to drink in town before the game, I am with some friends from Burnley. I have no time for 'fan's who have the idea of going to the football to throw coins, bottles rip out seats or fans running on the pitch. All should be punished the same.
  17. I thought Albion would have won tonight, playing a tight relegation battle, home advanatge would have spurred them on. From watching the highlights it seemed quite a close game, both teams had numerous chances to score but didn't. Camara had the best chance, but curled it well over the bar. West Brom 0-0 Southampton
  18. I know a few lads who have season tickets at Burnley who are going round the pubs in town before the game, I was going to do the same and see no reason why I shouldn't but it does look like there will be a bit of trouble at the game, unfortunaely. An evening game, allowing most supporters to get drunk if they wish to do so.
  19. Interesting. So Burnley should be investigated about, if that the thug has been banned from every ground in the country, in how he managed to get a ticket for the game. Unless someone bought it for him.
  20. Happy with the draw for the Quarter Finals. If we beat Burnley in the replay then we should have an excellent chance of getting to the semi's. At home to Leicester is a good draw at home and I would have happily taken it before hand.
  21. I wasn't too impressed with the game, a poor, dull and scrappy game. Burnley played very well and I was impressed them. The pitch didn't help, but that's not an excuse to use, it was the same for both teams and Burnley played better than we did on it. The first half I thought we played better than they did, towards the end of the half Burnley got better and that showed till the last twenty minutes or so when we got on top, slightly. Pedersen, Savage and the central defence stood out for me, most of the situations they were in all dealt with them fairly well. Pedersen came close with a well struck free kick and a header, if that had been a lighter touch it would have gone in. Tugay was really poor and that was the key, I couldn't understand why he was picked, especially for this game, his passing game wasn't suited to the type of game and the pitch. I said earlier in the thread that Reid, if he started, would be more influential for us rather than Tugay, I did as well get his autograph. Neither team played well, we had the better chances in the game and failed to take any. Dickov had the best chance, hitting it wide. Possible penalty shouts as well, but overall a replay was probably the best option. As for our support, great to sell out, but noise wise I was dissapointed I thought we would have been louder, but we weren't. The Burnley fans on the Longside had a great range and variety in their chants, No Nay Never, We hate b******* and No Nay Never..... The idiots who went on to the pitch, well done, it's a £1000 fine, I think. The guy who went to 'attack' Savage, what was the point? You came ran around like an idiot and then went for a Police Officer. Let's not forget the idiots who threw coins at Valois, I think in the first half and a bottle when MGP was booked for simulation. Great post match entertainment, seeing Burnley's youths giving us the second part of The Football Factory. Mindless idiots, who have nothing better to do, yet when they were offering fights, they were nowhere to be seen after the game, interesting. 22. MGP did a lot better than I expected yesterday. I thought he would get knocked off the ball. On most occasions Pedersen looked like our best player, when he had the ball he always looked like he was capable of creating something. Good free kick matched by a good save, a decent header only to be blocked by Roche's arm. As for the incident where he was booked for simulation, I think we were all appealing, I've just seen it and it would have been harsh to give on Burnley but it didn't warrant MGP getting booked. He is improving every game, a sign of a good young player for us.
  23. I don't mind who we get, just as long as we avoid Arsenal and Man United. Anyone else, if we play to our strengths we have a good chance of winning. But we must perform a lot better than yesterday to have a chance of progressing. I'd like a tie at Ewood with a good attendance surely?
  24. I've been up since around 6am, took me ages to get to sleep last night, but today is here what we have all been waiting since we were drawn with them. The cans are open and I can't wait anymore.
  25. I've just remembered. When Ferguson decided to join us and once he signed and gone about how great a club we were, what a fanatastic league he was about to play in, against the great players and nice at the nice stadiums. Didn't Ferguson say a few things? We all remember he said he wanted to play in a better league, but I've just remembered, he was interviewed in the L.E.T and said that he was sick of the religious and bitter rivalry, following an incident with his son at the local swimming baths. Just jogged my memory, if anyone else remembers it.
