  1. Just echoing everyone's thoughts really. I am sad to see Parkes leave. He's done a fantastic job at the club, whenever the club has needed him, he's been there, helped us and saved us in the several times that he's stepped in as care-taker manager. Thanks Tony for the servie that you have given.
  2. You must be fairly far in the game. At the moment I'm working for Zero, a guy who's blind beginning with W, can't remember his name and some other guy who owns a strip club.
  3. At the moment I'm working for a guy called Zero, The Science Geek. Stuck on this mission, have to fly a remote control aeroplane around the city and shoot some people in vans and bikes who Zero wants revenge on. For the Big Smoke ride on the bike by the train - Try and get slightly ahead of the train, it took me about three/four times to complete. If you can get a few yards ahead of the train Big Smoke can aim at them slightly better.
  4. Man City 2 - 3 Rovers Anelka Dickov (2) Wright-Philips Ferguson Can see both teams going for it, open game. Big test for Jay, unless Keegan continues to play Wright-Philips upfront with Anelka or just behind him as he did at United on Sunday. Friedel Neill - Todd - Nissa - Jay Emerton- Barry - Reid - MGP Dickov - Stead
  5. You don't no because u weren't there so don't comment. So people arent allowed to comment on specific issues because they werent there? Bizarre. Sorry Poshrover. I've been following Rovers home and away for a good number of years, I go away when I can and afford it. I was going to go to Norwich but was unable due to family reasons. I have seen the behaviour of Rovers fans both at home and away and nine times out of ten our supporters are generally well behaved. You do get the odd idiot here and there who spoils it for others. I'm dissapointed in the Rovers fans who did try and create trouble. People who were there at the game will always remember the fans who created a bad atmosphere, not a good one.
  6. I don't know what actually went on with these incidents down at Norwich. But, if there were Norwich fans standing up constantly throughout the game and Rovers fans are getting agro for it of stewards, then it's not fair. But constant abuse at stewards and police isn't acceptable, either is police/stewards telling certain supporters to sit and not the others, I don't know if this happened. I do like to stand. But I'm not ignorant, I will sit down if the fan behind me wishes to sit. If people wish to stand they should if they can head towards the back of the stand to stand if they want and can.
  7. I've just had the chance to see the highlights for the first time. Without repeating what most have said on here, a spirited, battling performance from the 10 men who were playing till the very end. The team seemed to show a solid look about them defensively. Hughes and his coaching staff like to squeeze the play and so far the team is playing better and better. Bothroyd - No need to say anymore, he knows he's done wrong. Credit to the players who played on, never gave up and if we maintain the same attitude and apply ourselves I'm sure we'll get off the bottom place of the league. Bothroyd faces rap Dickov backs Bothroyd
  8. Kaba Diawara was rubbish, Peacock isn't far behind either.
  9. Well said Tris. I do like to stand up however if supporters behind me want to sit I am not going to be an idiot and stand continouously infront of them, I will sit down in that case. There's no excuse for lads having a go at other supporters for that reason or abusing stewards, I wasn't there so I can't comment on it any further.
  10. I'm working and doing missions for Catalina at the moment, have to do three missions for her, got one left. Still, impressed with the game can't stop playing it at the moment.
  11. The beach party is harder than it looks, you have to be really quick and in time with it. I've just completed the bit in that warehouse with the guns deal with the Russians and followed, killed the man. Then at the house party where rival gangs came attacking my gang, defeated them Going out with Denise...
  12. Interesting preview AESF. Norwich 1 - 1 Rovers Can't see either team winning it. I reckon the game will be a close one, with Norwich getting an early goal and Dickov equalising late on in the game. Away at Norwich will be tough, I reckon it'll be a game where both sides will want to pass it but yet it will be a physical battle. Team: Friedel Neill,Short,Nissa,Jay Reid,Tugay,Barry,Emerton Dickov,Bothroyd
  13. Well said. I was un-impressed by several players from the Liverpool side who continuously dived, play acted. Several Liverpool players dived etc in the early moments of the game, when Cisse went down, everyone thought he was as well, me included. This is what has happened to the game. At the time of the incident when it happens, the first impression I get is that he's dived, not a horrific injury. Also Baros went in dirtyily on Friedel in-front of the Darwen End. The diving will be in our game for a long time, whether or not foreigners play in the English game because young kids seem to think because they do it, we can.
  14. Neill has never been that good a right back for us. If I'm right, Neill was never a right back in the first place. At Millwall he was used as a right winger or in the centre of midfield. But the idea of using Neill as a right back was Souness. Overall from yesterday's game I came out of Ewood dissapointed, but for the right reasons. I came out thinking we should have won that. But I would have happily taken a draw before the match. The changes that Hughes made to the line-up was needed. What I felt we missed in the defence was communication and what I noticed that the back four were doing more of was talking to each other. The midfield controlled the game, Emerton and Barry especially. Both of them were brilliant yesterday. The two Jay's as well both had excellent games. You could look at McEevely's mistake building up to their equaliser but we have seen worse mistakes from other players so far this season. Tugay played a lot better, but what concerned me espeically the last twenty minutes is that he began to tire, leading to his sloppy passes that he started to dish out. Overall I'm very pleased. I hope and think that Hughes will keep the same team for the next games coming up. The team showed a battling performance and were determined not to be another thrashing for yet another team. Credit to all the fans who kept getting behind the team when we went a goal down early on. Blackburn 2-2 Liverpool
  15. At the game yesterday I thought as the stewards didn't give any fans, from what I saw, no hassle everyone in the Blackburn End enjoyed the game. The atmosphere from the Blackburn End was great last night at the game, if the stewards were to let fans enjoy the game last night like they did then everyone concerned will enjoy the game, resulting in no trouble.
  16. Bought mine earlier on. Really impressed with the changes that they have made to this one. A lot more realistic in the 'gangster world' with their general behaviour that you can watch whilst they discuss before you go out with your 'homies' in the car. Just beaten up the local crack dealer, well worth the money so far.
  17. I really can't wait to play on this game. I have all the previous GTA games and have enjoyed them all. Vice City was good but I tended to get dizzy after playing on it for some reason, out of them all so far I enjoyed GTA:3. The missions that you had to on that particular game was more exciting than any other. San Andreas, the reviews I've read and seen on television I'm guessing that I'll be spending a lot of time on it.
  18. Wasn't this because that particular area of the Blackburn End was standing for the majority of the second half, resulting in a better atmosphere that was created? Thankyou anyway Stu for speaking to him about this topic.
  19. Rovers 1 - 4 Liverpool Attendance: 25,865. I really can't see us getting anything on Saturday. Liverpool will be too strong for us, especially when they'll be attacking with the threat and pace of Baros and Cisse.
  20. Thompson plays down return hopes This is the latest news on Thompson. I just hope when the Thompson and the medical team think he's 100% fit and ready to go, that he's ready to go. In the position that we're in at the moment we could really do with Thompson back as soon as possible.
  21. Mark Atkins. Superb midfielder, especially during our league winning season. Atkins is the type of midfielder that Rovers could do with now. He never did anything fancy, but he always did it simply and was always there when you needed him.
  22. The highlights that I watched last night was poor. We did seem to play well up until Gudjohnsen's two goals in a short space of time before half time. The defence needs to be sorted out however I feel it could be too late. We can't buy any new players to address the problem, unless we get them on a free. The defenders that we have currently, our one of the worst group of defenders I've seen at the club. Chelsea's first two goals, the defence isn't together. All of them are all over the place, the key is communication with each other. The Djorkaeff - Dickov thing isn't working, change it. You can't leave a player of his size up front on his own, fighting for scraps, all be it he gives his all. I really dread the Liverpool game, with the pace of Baros and Cisse running through our defence...
  23. Interesting topic. I am not going to blame Hughes for the run of defeats that we have had. Hughes is doing as best as he can with the 'average' squad that Souness had bought and what he builded. The defence needs to be sorted out quickly. Amo's out for three months, Short hasn't got the pace, from watching the highlights of the game last night it looked like the defence didn't have any shape to it at all. I'd like to see Todd brought in, he brings a stable look to the team. Where's McEveily? I'd give him a run out as well. I dread to see Cisse and Baros playing against our defence next Saturday...
  24. I would never want Bellamy at this club. His attitude, would only give the club a bad name. He doesn't have the best of records after all. His attitude, arrogance is a player who I wouldn't want playing for this club. He could be the key if we had him. His pace is something that we lack up front. I don't know if Hughes could control him, Bellamy wouldn't be playing in-front of 52,000 a week for a big club. He'd be playing for a small town team, he'd think he's bigger and better than everyone else. Souness has been there only just a month and yet he's already found an enemy. Bellamy won't be the last player at Newcastle to disagree with Souness.
  25. I want Douglas to be given another chance in the centre of midfield. With him, partnering Ferguson I feel these two could be a possiblity that you've mentioned FLB. Douglas played in central midfield last season on several occasions. He isn't the most talented midfielder in the world, but in the position that we are in at the moment I would rather have Douglas in the midfield than Tugay. But when Thommo's fully fit I'd love to see Thommo and Barry together.
