That how I feel also. I cant help but feel we play a formation thats built around dack currently. I wonder if the arma and brereton signings are based around the knowledge that Dack will leave soon and we will start playing with 2 upfront maybe

If you read comments under a messi post you'd think he was garbage. The tinternet is full of weirdos and any footballer reading his own comments is going to need therapy or thick skin

Henry WinterVerified account @henrywinter Spent some time this week with Tony Mowbray at Blackburn Rovers. Fascinating man. Will link interview later. #brfc

Football really needs to be more transparent. Bizzare deals can be announced as 'undiclosed fee'
-
The trouble is there are 2 elements to the whole thing. Is he worth 7 mil and is he going to be good? and then was it the right move to spend so much on 1 player in our position? Whatever your view on point 2 is, will probably cloud your opinion on point 1
-
I know its childish, but that typo made me lol
-
Nobody spends 7 mill on what we have seen so far. All Im saying is clearly there is a player in there we havent seen yet. Hopefully he can get a goal and some confidence this weekend
-
Its not the rock an roll approach everyone wants, but loan to buy does make sense if you can get a selling club to agree
-
Bereton has been a good player at every youth level for england. A large % of forest fans didnt want him sold. I get there is cause for worry on what we have seen so far, but there is clearly a player in there somewhere that we havent seen yet. Hopefully he gets 90 mins at newcastle up front and we can judge him a bit better

75.1 when most of them are 10 yard passes backwards or sideways to the full backs ? Travis was pushing forward, taking risks and trying to make something happen and still managed 82.3. Lets be honest also, WBA have arguably the best collection of central midfielders in the division and he was the best one on the pitch.
-
Im not convinced. I think TM is reluctant to upset starters with loan players. I think if Reed was our player then it would be different. With Travis I think he has an old school mentality of trying to keep them really hungry by letting them dip their feet, then taking them out. I think sat proved travis is quite a cut above smallwood and TM clearly will see that to.
-
The main aim this window is trying to make Reed our player and then hopefully playing him centre mid with travis 2 proper grafters who are pretty good on the ball also. The better we can make our midfield, the less reliant we will be on Graham as hopefully we wont be going direct as much as we do. We can hopefully then start trying to pass through the lines a bit more.

There is a lot to like about smallwood, a real honest pro who has given nothing but his all in everygame for us. He was great for us last year and will always be loved. But apart from experience which travis needs, he has smallwood beat in every category he simply has to start now. His ability to play with his head up and look forward with passes is huge and then his desire to charge forward and try and join in some of the attcks to.

7 man defence really with Reed. He needs to take the handbrake off more, especially at home and get rothwell and/or palmer in their to. Give teams other threats to be wary other than Dack -

Still not time to let Rothwell off the leash I see. Sigh -
When someone misses the amount of time he has you worry they arent the same player physically. But from what I have seen its still there. Still quick enough, strong enough, technically still looks good. Quite promising. He just needs to stay fit now and get a run of games, which is obviously tough with his history, but if he does then we have a bargain of a player for the 2nd half of the season

Rovers v Leeds, Ewood, 12.00 KO, 20th October

I think this game will show us what TM currently thinks his strongest 11 is. Everyone will be well rested after the break and its a really tough game. As long as we have no injries, this is where most of the players find out where they stand -
Bereton off the bench to open his rovers account. I can feel it
-
Strange half. I thought we were excellent until we scored, then we seemed to lose all momentum. Some encouraging performances though. Rothwell looks good Need more from Graham, its not sticking at all when it goes up to him
-
Fingers crossed for Rodwell and Rothwell. Big game for them two, hopefully they deliver
-
Dack v Lowe.............. we are doomed
-
Everyone has a different value on things. My point is if you really really want sdomething, you pay what it takes He really wanted bereton
-
Big game this now. Win this well with that lineup and you can see a shift of philosophy and personnel.

If TM had bid 10 million for chapman, do you think Pulis would have said no way, I need another winger first? Clearly we wouldnt bid 10mil and Pulis wouldnt let him leave for peanuts, but somewhere in between would have been a figure that worked if TM really really wanted chapman
