  1. Not many are arguing with that. But is it ok if we suggest that RG is shit and shouldn't be anywhere near this club?
  2. I can read thanks -can you? See the latter part of the club's statement. edit It would be interesting to know what the new 'pathway' and 'philosophy' is.
  3. Not fickle at all. Most here still believe that SWAG was slippery, economical with the truth. Many now believe that RG is worse. 5 years? I see -that's how long we have to give the new aligned plan before we can comment.
  4. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/september/03/rhodes-returns-in-new-rovers-role-/ He will also be tasked with building and maintaining strong relationships with loan clubs and will link in with the scouting department by attending matches and assessing potential player targets, to support the club's broader recruitment strategy.
  5. Just a few points: -He is 'loans manager.' RG has stated that we are not interested in those, so why is he required? -the club is cost cutting -why not give the role to someone in-house (if it is even required?) Given, that we won't be having any loans, it should be a straightforward job. -the timing is curious no?
  6. Oh yep, I was encouraged at first (and thanks for posting). Just seems that they will be more interested in new applications (but then contradicted by the last para that they could look into existing set ups).
  7. However, it is key to make clear that the ODSE Test does not have to taken by current owners, directors or senior executives and they do not have to apply. Only new prospective custodians will be required to apply for the test. However incoming the Football Regulator is intent on making it clear that if it has any concerns about the suitability of an existing owner, director or senior executive, it will be able to intervene and take action Edit Two howevers in row.
  8. Yes I still do. You'll be the first to know when I change my mind. In that case I'll hold my hands up and admit that I was wrong. Could you explain what it is about RG that you think is an 'excellent appointment'?
  9. It is reasonable to point out (as we all know) that all financial constraints lead to Pune so RG/Pasha/VI (and those on here) are always going to say they are just carrying out orders –to cut expenditure. But surely the unholy triumverate have taken a more drastic decision to cut even further with no attempt to sell a different dream to the owners –one that could see the owners saving some face and exiting (ie promotion). It seems to me that a radical, arbitrary decision (do the owners know?) has been taken to keep wages under 10k and all the other stuff we know in the hope of what? Definitely, not promotion. League position is immaterial we have been told. Then what? One can only conclude it’s with the aim of treading water, maintaining Pasha’s control, massaging RG’s monstrous ego, maintaining agent fees and the whole merry go round of player trading. It would seem that promotion is not in Pasha’s/RG’s interest –I guess if it would lead to new owners then they know the party is over for them. Easier to keep their masters back in Pune in the dark and keep the gravy train flowing. I don’t know where relegation would fit into their thinking. Not a problem the same circus can continue? And then there is the court case. Do they know that things might be coming to a head so better make as much cash as they can while the party is still going?
  10. There is a remedy of course πŸ™‚
  11. Most amusing Eddie.
  12. I thought you weren't going to speculate on off-field matters, just focus on the match? But here you are, with a steady trickle of possibilities. I think some of the players certainly did feel unhappy about the Venky mishandling. And I certanly think it was more than just they could get better deals elsewhere. Incidentally, given you prefer not to think/talk about Venky and other off field shenanigans that you can't control, you certainly seem to do just that. In the same vein, I can't control Trump or Netanyahu's behaviour, but I certainly talk about it and worry about it.
  13. ....behind the team seems reasonable (although it is really the only outlet for fan ire of all things club related); behind the project? no, just legitimises the loons and snouts in troughs.
  14. Did you forget on these boards too....
  15. A fairly pathetic attempt at a smear. You should be aware (if you aren't already) of Glen's activities over the last 15 years at least.
  16. Cost cutting. There is no aim to go up. RG said it is not important.
  17. To be fair, we had support from that quarter in the past. But of course, we know the outcome.
  18. Much as I'm with you (and I hope you all know by now how I feel about this shitshow) but it wouldn't surprise me if we managed to stay up. That's the dilemma. If we do, then Pasha/RGs smug faces will be unbearable. If we go down, well gloom all round. But, would it hasten the departure of the loons. That I don't know.
  19. Pasha must have chewed off the hand that offered....
  20. And to think I was feeling a little guilty about being too negative before the game last weekend...
