I think whoever mentioned his 100th performance possibly triggering a better deal has found the answer to his sharp exit.

Agreed. The winter of discontent is coming for the likes of Rothwell, Graham, Bell, Evans and even Chapman. No footballer worth his salt will like to be overlooked in a non-winning side. Also, we really are down to our bare bones at the back and we can't keep shipping 2, 3 and 4 goals and expect to stay up or out of trouble. Supporters are definitely getting more vocal in the BBurn End (In terms of criticising the manager and mistakes), people won't put up with poor home form and silly selections/substitutions for long.

He had the ball took off him within that time but on the odd occasion he didn't we just stand off, flat footed. When we loose the ball, the majority just invite them into our space and wait. I think we are at our best when we press high up the field and close down the opposition. We seemed to do it to really good effect earlier in Mowbray's reign but then stopped doing it. Personally, I think we are unfit and can't maintain that style. The lack of intensity in the last ten minutes that we always have and the growing injury list suggests the same.
-
In fairness, he had three men on him within 2 seconds.

Mowbray will have lofty ambitions but they are akin to someone wanting to leave the Earth, travel around the sun and come back to tell the tale. But all along, regardless of the opinions of us everday Joes, he naively believes that that he is going to attempt this feat on a paper plane, and by only travelling slowly sideways, with Elliot Bennett as Admiral, or mechanic, or medic, or cook, or even as cabin boy...just so long as he's there.

Currently, I do not respect the opinion of anybody who does not share these thoughts/opinions. I am absolutely infuriated by Mowbray at the moment. I stupidly read some comments on the Telegraph website. All is good on there (according to the 'majority') Tony knows best, get behind the team ffs, people can't see the great work he's doing, it's because of the injuries and every other blindly optimistic or deluded opinion you can imagine - probably from the same characters under multiple usernames to be honest.

He should've been potted last season during that terrible 2nd run we had. The fanboys will buy the upcoming tripe that it is injuries that are making us struggle but in truth, it is tactics, tinkering and selections. -
If Big Sam remained at Rovers, the Venkys would've made hundreds of millions out of the club by now, rather than lost them. They should go cap in hand to him and beg him to take over for 18months and he'd have us back up where we belonged. There is as much chance of that happening as there is Mowbray walking or getting us in the top 6.
-
That is actually a very good point and accurate observation. He's roughly the same age as J Lo

He is a silly old c word. Really getting on my tits. I cannot think of another individual in the ground who would have thought of taking Holtby off at that point. He was the creator, he was tackling high up the pitch and alongside Nyambe, had the most energy and caused the most problems. Mowbray is an absolute tit and I am actually detesting him at the moment and cannot bear to listen to his waffling nonsense.
-
I am sick of him and want him gone. He is costing us points week after week and his decision making and selections are just ridiculous. Thanks Tony but please do the right thing and move on. We can't defend. The short passing was embarassing. The substitutions shocking. Bennett at left back is now utterly taking the piss. You've blown a fortune on non-striking strikers and enough is enough.
-
I think we have afforded him plenty of time, yet he makes the same errors game after game. Someone else can and will do better and his 'transfer policy' of blowing the budget on crap strikers who he plays out of position, is going to bite us hard on the arse now We aren't scoring but leaking goals for fun. We need someone who can coach us how to be resolute and build from the back. Mowbray won't ever be able to do this.
-
It really would, wouldn't it? It frustrates me how we swerve around the obvious under TM.
-
We should get Mark Hughes back. At least we would play with some heart, effort and belief. I loved following the ''Bully Boys'.
-
No, nay and never. Much better out there.
-
Add to that, terrible distribution.
-
Someone who picks players on their merits and in their proper positions? Someone who can teach basic defending and conjure up tactics that allow us to gets shots on goal? A guy like that will do for me.
-
Time to go Mowbray.
-
I want a manager who plays to our strengths, not one who stifles them.
-
That is how it looks to me too. I found it infuriating on Saturday.
-
He would be a superb appointment.

It was driving me mad seeing Bennett in acres of space but not carrying the ball and whipping a ball in. His deliveries are awful, to the point that Luton didn't even mark him. Chapman or Rothwell would have had a field day yesterday. Bringing Samuel on as a pretend winger sums Mowbray up. Ever since he's been here, he is obsessed with playing people out of position. He loves seeing past the necessary and just stuffing a striker out wide. Also, I cannot think of a Rovers side that lacks effort and intensity in the last 10/15mins as this lame lot. I honestly now look forward to the day he is moved on because we have the personnel to mix it with almost anyone in this league and should get in the playoffs but we have absolutely no chance of doing it under him.
-
That is how I saw it. The ref was a mug who kept getting in the way of our play, but our cluelessness, terrible final ball, lack of shots at a dodgy keeper and lack of intensity was to blame yesterday.
-
Rothwell and Chapman. But Tony won't start one or select the other.
-
Exactly. I've championed that lad since he first turned out for us. How he can not choose to put him on the bench, I'll never know.
