It is frightening how fast 10 years has gone. I miss watching this legend.
-
I applaud you Sir ?

In truth though, we need to model our championship side on theirs. They did the basics really well. Tight defence, hard graft and getting the ball into the box. We faff around way too much, invite people on to us and are lethargic when defending our own area. Now I'm going to take a cheese grater to my finger tips for typing that.

Both are crap and need to be sold.

Optimism died on here when Chaddy was potted
-
When has Chaddy gone??
-
With a dodgy keeper ?
-
Crazy isn't it. People criticise the prispect of us signing Gallagher and slate Raya, saying he needs to be replaced...they sign for another club and that club somehow become a super squad.
-
If we were to take a risk on an unfinished article, I'd rather we took a gamble on a strong and fast African player who'd be a pain in the arse for defenders.
-
Closer to £1m wasn't it?
-
It's only a matter of time until Raya will be remembered as a younger, more agile Friedel.
-
Luca Toni?

People need to stop hanging on every word of the manager. The Telegraph is almost obliged to feature some Rovers crap every day but It's often the same old regurgitated stuff or contentless interviews. We will sign players, we always have and always will. We are also terrible at predicting if they will be any good or not. After getting excited over previous duds, I just judge them when they've actually played. The good ones always get injured anyway ?
-
Nonsense. I don't wear blue and white blinkers. I watched every episode and the club froze him out, bad-mouthed him and then spat their dummies out when he wouldn't walk away with a huge pay cut. I would have told them to get to fuck too. Their fault for giving him the contract and employing crap managers.
-
I thought it showed the Sunderland management team to be bellends. They gave him the contract and thought freezing him out of the picture would force him out and why they thought he should just cancel his contract is beyond me.
-
That's it. We don't need perfection but someone who can do the basics of defending. We invite crosses into the box and are simply unable to deal with them. A big no no nonsense CB and something that resembles a left back.
-
Very true. We unearthed some real gems. Quite a few duds went on to be pretty awesome too.
-
Ripley, Jansen, Neill, Reid and Stead??
-
The pull of the Premier League. We fed off clubs like ours for a long time.
-
I've been chilling out away from football and just wondered: Is there a decent chance of Hanley returning? Which strikers are genuinely linked? Any news on a left back? And just my opinion, the freebies will start moving this week as they tend to be contracted until the end of June.

I think Dack will do whatever his Mrs tells him to do. I can't imagine him not moving down south this summer.
-
Actually, he didn't IMO and I'm on a mission to clear his name. If you watch closely, the defender flicks Pedersen's foot into his other leg (with his knee) as he's running. It is really subtle but there is a good angle of it from behind. It was the same technique me and my mates used to use to leg each other up, it doesn't take much.
-
Only thing I disagree on is the 'continental name'. David Martin....couldn't sound any more English ?
-
He'd (Raya) be a decent understudy. I can't see him fancying that now though.
-
If we can get good money for Raya and a solid replacement is lined up, we should sell. If we are serious about mounting a promotion push, he has to go. He doesn't command his defence, he isn't dominant in the six yard box, his distribution is poor and he has started dropping clangers out of absolutely nothing. Yes he can pull off worldie saves but it just doesn't offset those frailties. We need to plug the holes in defence, that's the difference between where we ended up and a playoff place this season.
