He's levels above Gueye for me. Gueye is unbelievably clumsy and just causes chaos. Occasionally he gets away with it and the chaos helps us. -

Incredibly surprised we've not made a sub yet. -

Well, if Eustace wanted a game to show why we desperately need forwards they're doing a good job of helping him. -

The biggest problem is they have the uncanny ability to miss the target from pretty much any opportunity, even when it's easier to score. It'd be more palatable if it was the opposition keepers keeping us out. WEIMANN! -

How on earth has he missed that? Also that was more of a pen than the last one for me. -

I agree. At the very least stand your ground a bit and stumble down to sell the force of the push a bit. -

Whilst I agree the bigger issue this game has been that I've lost count of the amount of times he's hit the least effective passing option with no pressure on him whatsoever. -

He was great until he got challeneged for his position and for me he just never stepped up to that mark. Edit: and AGAIN he kicks it out -

Lots of passing, get into a good position, then Buckley lazily kicks it out again. Time to go now. -

I don't care who comes on but for me I agree, I'd be telling Buckley he has 10 minutes to show why he should be here and if we see nothing he's off and we'll try and find a new club for him. Everything through the centre is coming through him, he's lightweight and lazy. -

5 offsides but 0 shots on target (again)! Sometimes you really have to wonder why we keep doing this to ourselves 😅 -

Unsurprising, Szmodics aside our entire attacking side of the game has been lacking for close to two years now. It's like we never train past the half way line sometimes. -

Which works if you overachieve, but fans get quickly bored of it if you're bang average, and even if you're doing better sometimes. Just ask Big Sam. -

I know we're all a bit disappointed about Forshaw but surely he can't be worse than Buckley? I don't know what happened to him but he looks lost every time he's on the pitch these days. -
Wrong thread.

If he isn't I'd be definitely questioning the investment in him. -
Christ, they really were desperate to get rid of him. Let's hope he's more effective than the last player they gave us for free.
-
I honestly thought Baker was pretty ineffective. Could help shield the back four sure, but offered nothing going forwards. Downside for us is we're so thin that you don't really want the alternatives playing.

Normally I'd be down for a cup run but the Portsmouth game is much more important for me, and we can't afford any more injuries. Could be a good opportunity for some of those not playing to stake a claim as well. -
To be fair, most of our team is still made up of players who were arguably worse than Brum last year but were bailed out by Szmodics.
-
The only hope with this one is that Eustace knows how to get a tune out of him, otherwise the calibre of player we're looking at so far is worrying at best. My worry is that with our current transfer philosophy it seems we're always one or two injuries from being League One fodder. That said, would I take Forshaw and Sanderson as backup if it means we actually get some real talent up top because Gueye is one of the worst footballers I've ever seen and we will be nowhere near the top if we have to rely on him more than Yuki for the next few months.

Getting someone in to plug gaps behind Travis and Sonny is great and all, but as we've seen in the last few weeks if they're not at the same level we drop off in form. An ambitious team would look for quality and make Trav have to force his way back. But, we are not an ambitious team so we will continue scraping the barrel for whoever will play for as little as possible.

Problem with judging at the end of the window is we've typically found ways to renege on agreements after the window has shut over the last few years. I'm amazed anyone is willing to consider us as a customer in January.

Wycombe already 2 up against Portsmouth... I bet we create absolutely nothing against them next week though.
