  1. Interesting watching WBA first goal back. From the normal camera shot, after the goal, GC is clearly remonstrating with Walton that he should've come for it. However, watching the replay from behind the goal, walton is pointing for Cunningham to put it out for a throw (obviously I can't hear how loudly he or cunningham were shouting things to each other). A balls up either way! Agree about the kits. Very difficult to tell the teams apart. This seems to be a recurring theme with this obsession with wearing away kits whether needed or not. Same issue watching WHU v Norwich on MoTD last night - WTF didn't Norwich wear yellow!? Their black kit was hard to differentiate from West Ham's home shirt. To me, this needs sorting.
  2. GK Coach at Cambridge apparently: https://www.cambridge-united.co.uk/news/2019/august/coach-bunn/
  3. WTF! That heating system is about 7 years old now at the most. Why does it need replacing? Unless they've replaced the underfloor heating for something sensible that works (UFH is crap btw without spending proper money on controls) Ok. Just answered my own question. Remember GN wanting to save a few quid! Don't ask!
  4. ?. Almost! Well, nothing like that really. The young lady in question was on facetime to him having previously been told by my missus that I was a Rovers fan. I went out for a ciggy & ended up showing him my STs & having a chat with him. Him being a fan from afar I suggested coming on here to keep up to date with things. After saying all that, it's probably someone else now! ?
  5. Are u the guy I spoke to on a young lady's phone outside the pub a few weeks ago & told u about this forum? Your joining date seems to coincide with this. If so, welcome to the forum. If not, welcome to the forum anyway!
  6. Heard a week or 2 ago that the Ley Inn was up for sale/lease. Perhaps Rovers have bought it for him as a welcome back present & that's clinched it!
  7. If this is the case, someone should just email them the links to details of the transfers of Harry Maguire, Virgil Van Dyke etc. If that doesn't change opinions then nothing will!
  8. Apparently, TM turned up at his local Kwik Fit the other day as his tyres were going bald on the inner edge. The guy at Kwik Fit explained that his tracking was out and that without fixing it, this would keep happening. Mowbray acknowledged this and said that yes he really should get this sorted, however, asked if he kept coming back on a regular basis for tyres, would they give him a good discount. The manger at Kwik Fit obviously said that they would, so Tony got them to put a couple of Pirellis on and said that he wouldn't bother wasting any money on getting the tracking done. Never one to try & sort out the route cause our Tony!
  9. I call the 'Old Spice' song (members of a certain age will know what I mean), but its actual title is Carmina Burana by German composer Carl Orff. It's one of those which can quite easily make all the hairs on your neck stand up!
  10. Nigel Adkins just been on Sky saying we could be dark horses.
  11. This has to be the best one - didn't even know his team mates names! https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2015/march/a-magnifient-debut/
  12. They've just signed pontus jansson from Leeds, so assume, unlike us, they signed a replacement before letting him leave!
  13. Must admit, I didn't realise he was a left footer until watching that vid. Looks like he's a threat at set pieces too. Welcome to Ewood Bradley no.2! (Only counting current players obviously!)
  14. Sorry, my bad. My comment still stands on preference though.
  15. Hmm, look like the halves are the 'wrong way round' again. I always prefer the front blue on the wearer's left with the club badge rather than on the right with the manufacturer.
  16. Surely if you're going to upload a video on your own twitter page you'd make sure it wasn't one of your supposed 1st choice keeper flapping at a cross and your player of the year and best striking option heading the ball in the wrong direction!
  17. I would think that if she waited those 4 days, her seat would probably be still available and she could purchase at the reduced rate - the problem these days is 'computer says no'. I suppose the alternative would be to set the age date as 'end of July' or 'beginning of the season', but likewise, I'd be in the opposite position whereby my Daughter's birthday is mid-June, so I effectively get away with the cheaper rates for an extra season when they move up (as long as I renew in time of course!)
  18. Surprised I got accepted TBF given my past history! - usually pay upfront but circumstances this year dictated that I was unable to. This type of arrangement I find could be made better. A majority of football fans, especially in a town such a Blackburn & the surrounding areas, are working class, and as a result, pretty much live week-to-week / month-to-month. A ST is quite a big outlay for many but people want to sit with their mates/family week in week out and so this is the only option. The days where you met your mates in the pub beforehand and all stood together on the BBE are long gone. To allow people to keep their seats yet still pay monthly, why can't the club introduce a scheme whereby you pay a couple of months in advance (ie you have to sign up early) and If you haven't paid then (after getting all your reminders etc), the ticket gets blocked. It's all computerised so shouldn't be that difficult to arrange. You could even block it with a month's 'credit' left on to encourage people to ensure that they're up-to date. I know there's the money making aspect in it between Rovers & the finance company, but it terms of fairness to the fans and probably getting a few more STs sold I think it would be beneficial to all.
  19. Not so much a young-un, but I do know the answer thanks to my Dj-ing. It's Places by Martin Solvieg and Ina Wroldsen I think you're on about. I love this tune! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJlOmDWyoA8
  20. Very sad news. Puts a bit of perspective into things. Looked like having a good career in management as well. Obviously well liked at orient. RIP Justin.
  21. Cheers mate. I didn't realise the PL had relaxed the rules. I always thought they had to be different.
  22. Whilst we're talking about kits, (home, away, change etc), did anyone notice that in the Arsenal v Brighton game a couple of weeks ago, both teams were wearing the same colour shorts? I though this wasn't allowed? Primarily for offside decisions as I understand it. Anyone know the rulings on this (Arbitro?) and why this was permitted?
  23. If you look at the mock ups on the previous page I think that the Red logo stands out even more and actually looks good on the kit - likewise with the white on the away. The black logo just merges into a black blob if you ask me (mind you, my eyesight isn't what it used to be!)
  24. My first ever away shirt that one & I still have it. Mind you It's a bit of a tight fit these days being size 'Small Boys (SB)'! Does anyone know when 'Away' kits became just that and not a 'Change' strip which was traditionally only worn when there was a clash of colours? Is it some kind of new regulation or something driven more by the kit manufacturers to promote sales? Anyway, darker blue for me, halves on the right side, white shorts, blue socks (I always liked the ones with the red trim from the 80s). Away - have to agree with the suggestion of any colours as long as it's halves (barring claret & blue obviously). Red & black, yellow & black, green & black etc etc
