  1. Don’t know about anyone else but I’m getting fed up of reporters fans and tv reporters saying we’ve been over achieving with John eustace. No… it’s called a manager that’s competent and can do his job. It’s not pot luck to be 5th 3/4 into the season. It’s called good management. Something this clown in charge isn’t capable of. Some people just suit clubs, it’s clear this guy doesn’t
  2. its all doom and gloom and no hope. But at least this is a sensible thing done. I like him, hes solid. first thing theyve got right all season.
  3. If we dont win a game for the rest of the season (which easily can happen) I dont think he gets sacked. I know its only 4 games but the signs arent great. Its not like we've looked good. We actually look lost at times, almost like kids football, massive gaps between defence, midfield and attack, desperation football, brain dead football. Even under our bad spell under Eustace we at least had a plan and looked like we had some shape. Also its probably the most easiest things to implement as a coach, sit in be tight and be organised. Under Frenchy we half heartedly press, some players go, some players dont know if they should, then its all just all over the place like kids football. I think we might win 1 game between now and end of season. I dont reckon he will get sacked even if we dont win any. I reckon he will get the first 10 games of next season if it still carrys on bad. Its going to be a host of foreigners and cheapy unknowns in the summer, which is why they have bought in a manger who can speak other languages and is cheap.
  4. Even if they just showed a slight bit of ambition, by hiring a manager with some pedigree, or even got some contracts of the better players done, you might be more easily persuaded to pay an extra £50 in season ticket prices. But for me its the fact there F ing zero ambition. Venkys have got us into this mess and its sucking the fun out of everything. The matchday experience is even cheap. I go to the blues bar before games and the beers usually rubbish, the Guinness seems to be out most games cos they have problems with the pipes half the time or the beers are flat. There's no atmosphere in their, they could have some background music or even some live game commentary in the blues bar. They have had a live band in there this season and it was quite good. The match day half-time stuff is just kids shooting a ball in a 7 aside goal by the corner flag.. why not get some fans on the pitch at half time (home and away) doing something to win £50 or something entertaining that people get engaged by. I had a time in the club shop this season where the club didn't even have Blackburn bags or ANY bags when purchasing, thats embarrassing! couldn't even give me a bag to carry a jumper. They could go to local shop and get some bags of anything to give to customers to carry items. It was so tinpot to tell me a customer they couldn't give me any type of bag, couldn't believe it. If I renew my ticket in the Blackburn end it works out to be £17.40 per game which is not too bad. I don't have kids so cant speak about family pricing but for me personally £17.40 a game is not the worst but its the fact that the prices have gone up, what are we getting for that price increase?! we cant even operate like a club with any professionalism or try and make the match day experience just a little better. Its like a 15 year old has been put in charge of match day experiences. Its not hard to improve it and make some sort of atmosphere. Its just being left to rot, and being run by people that don't look like they have an idea. I am yet to make a decision on renewing. Im from down south so financially I need to work out if Its worth it, but even if it wasnt, if the club showed something, it might just persuade me to go sod it im doing it again.
  5. bring back mark hughes. He must be cheap these days. All hope sucked out last night. I travel up 4.5 hours to watch the home games for my season ticket. I will not be attending another one now until the last home game of the season just to close the season out, waste of my money. I had a ticket last night for stoke away, luckily I was too ill to travel last night, done me a favour that. I will stick to the more local away games for rest of this season. Clubs scored one too many own goals for my liking right now. Waggot, Pasha, Venkys, Gaffer - ALL PACK YOUR BAGS
  6. weiman out ?! no way? thats a huge blow if true. Might not be the quickest, but he knows when to pop up at the right time. That could the blow that kills us.
  7. No idea what to predict. But if I was picking from whats currently fit to play id go: pears britain hyam Carter Ribeiro Trav buckley dolan weiman Kargbo Gueye
  8. IMO I reckon our manager budget is not the best, I wouldn't be surprised if Eustace wage was well below the likes of JDT and Mowbary. I wonder if they've now cut costs on manager wages since Eustace and are fishing in the same wage pool. Which would probably be the likes of a up and coming managers wanting the chance, or managers desperate to be back amongst it hence the karanka and ismael links. Again though wouldn't be surprised if we gave the job to someone thats not been mentioned in the media, sometimes these things have a way of going public with random names to throw people off the scent. But my gut feeling is its the first part frustratingly.
  9. shall we play guess the line-up for Wednesday for whoever is picking this team? I reckon: Pears Brittain Hyam Batth Beck trav buckley Dolan Cantwell Kargbo Gueye Not sure whether whoever comes in will think Dennis has it in his locker to start midweek after playing against wolves with so little lack of game time. Would probably make more sense to have dennis coming on when kargbo blows up so we always have an outball to get us up the pitch. Personally I hope Cantwell isnt starting, he looks very uninterested, either injured or he got ear of eustace leaving, or hes simply a lazy luxury. Hes not the type when your in the trenches.
  10. This whole Derby thing though is starting stink, with the fact we are now being told "claims" he applied for WBA, Cov and PNE jobs! PNE isn't near the midlands, and they've probably got just as bad a budget as us! Obviously we dont know if these claims are even true I get that. If he held out and managed to get us in the playoffs, his stock becomes so high he could probably walk into any championship job, or not make the playoffs then resign on still a good job as hes done now. You cant tell me Derbys more attractive than most others in this league, he only played like a season for them, like 50 games? I'm not buying the location thing, and he could potentially could of got a better job interest if he got us in the playoffs. Like I have said in previous posts on this thread, I completely lie the blame on venkys and scrooges, but Eustace cant be getting off too lightly either, if this was done in the summer or when we are completely out the playoff picture then fine, its just starting to get too snakey with these claims of applying for any job on offer. Isn't starting to look like hes waited for the perfect job, seems more and more like a bargaining tactic. Hes thrown this current group of players under the bus.
  11. you say waiting for the right opportunity but there are "claims" he applied for the WBA, Cov and PNE jobs... if thats true sounds to me like he was trying to use some bargaining tactic. the PNE is the alarming bit, if thats true then id guess it was all just for bargaining, and that would also mean one of his concerns with geographic in terms of family was a complete lie, which probably is. I guess we will never really know.
  12. He might look a little better if there is now some pace to actually run on the end of his over the top passes.
  13. Firstly before anyone reads further, Im gutted hes gone, hes done a great job, it feels like a punch to the stomach. I hate venkys and I hate Waggot. BUT, that being said, do 99% of clubs now not have someone that purchases players and the manager deals with what comes through the door? I know he didnt get the players he requested but Im not sure it works like that these days, anywhere. They've done it all on a shoe string yes, but they've actually bought in players for as close as he described as to what was needed on a shoe string budget. I cant get over the fact hes snaking around for other clubs and trying to use it as a bargaining tool at this point of the season. I think you see the season out then leave, his togetherness and no excuses motto is a bit of 2 fingers to everyone IMO. I FIRMLY lay the blame obviously on waggot suhail and venkys even more, this is a 15 year problem, BUT eustace should be doing this in the summer IMO, the fact hes asked himself for a new deal NOW is the odd bit. Where I a million percent point the finger at venkys and the crooks, I also am not letting Eustace off the hook here with this one at the same time. You deal with this after these 16 games are done or you deal with is when the playoffs are no more. I think if he signed the players he wanted he wouldn't of thrown his toys out the pram, he might even of found himself at a better proposition than derby county.... Yes players 1 million percent should of been in the door at the start of jan, but at the end of the day were 6th, and they have bought in attackers with pace. Whether they are up to the standard is yet to be seen, on paper they aren't but you have to see how the season pans out, surely thats what the people that are in charge of signing players are paid to do. The cronies behind the scenes are killing us, but I would say its a collective let down on all fronts within the club, and Il add Eustace to that.
  14. My brother in law is a Luton fan. He seems to think rob Edwards is overhyped. Said he had a good 5 months with Luton getting them up but has done nothing either side of that for Luton. think personally At this time I would rather see Damian duff be given the chance. Least you know he will probably be here come August.
  15. was thinking it had gone quiet.. maybe the meeting with Waggot and suhail is happening right now.
  16. probably a good by to the players maybe... Only thing I can think of!
  17. Eustace taking training this morning before speaking to the board... make it make sense!
  18. 3-0 loss, and and knowing our luck we lose someone like dennis to a hamstring injury just to top it off, the beginning of the plummet? hard to stay positive really. a really horrible fixture to have off the back of a qpr defeat and manager out the door. Or a Damien Johnson master class 1-0 win.....
  19. On Twitter I’ve read a few calling for the like of Russel Martin or Steve cooper. 1. There isn’t a chance in hell we get a big profile manager, there’s a reason our managers keep leaving, it’s because there is no money! 2. We don’t want any type of manager like Russel Martin type, that style of football doesn’t suit the current crop we do have, we are not a passing out from our own goal and being one dimensional. We suit more of a manager that’s like a pulis\alladyce\dyche\warnock\ style, as in a manager that’s requires hard work all round the pitch off the ball, and in possession can mix it up. i have seen people mention lee Carsley online and to me I think he will fall into the Russel Martin bracket, of one dimensional has to play pep football, won’t suit us. I don’t hold too much hope waggot will get it right and I don’t think we have the money to get anyone decent in. I also think it will be a lazy decision as in who’s in wagots phone book he gets on well with out of a job, that will do. That’s kind of where eustace fit the bill when he got the job. in my opinion eustace is %10000 leaving this week at some stage, I also think he’s instigated this, derby don’t just pay half a million to a club in hope the manager will leave 6th spot to bottom 3 without knowing it’s a goer. I’d imagine waggot like the JDT situation has someone already lined up ready to go and come in swiftly. i also think Venkys won’t even be involved, they probably say to waggot here’s your allowance for the season that’s all your getting crack on with it. So imagine there is no discussions to be had to negotiate between eustace and waggot.
  20. Get on the phone to Damian duff. Him and Johnson till end of season if he leaves us.
  21. think i read somewhere the scandanavian transfer window clsoes in mid march. Wouldnt be surprised if we try to ship him out on loan or for a fee. But he has been "injured" for sometime, the way our december has gone we cant really be carrying too many who are prone to injuries, good player on his day, but sadly that day isnt too often, and thats because he can never be available long enough.
  22. im purely trying to keep positive. And I am going to try and put a positive spin on the woodrow signing. He is more of a 10 as I read, and as he may be a bit underwhelming of a signing, I cant forget how bad Cantwell was on Tuesday, looked so uninterested, you at least run around and try and look half assed. Cantwell also doesn't really chip in with many goals. Woodrow with something to prove in the 10 just might work. Cantwell needs a kick up his ass, and if woodrow coming in with stern comp in that 10 role may just either give us a player thats come to prove a point, or gets cantwell moving out of 1st gear... Or they both just end up stinking!
  23. Got to say we were poor first half. And 2nd half we looked good for a 10 minute spell when we got the penalty. Then cantwell came on…. I don’t know if cantwell is injured but it was like playing with 10men when he was on. Just casually trotted around for the duration he was on, didn’t break a sprint. Poor old gueye was done after 70mins ish. He had a 33 year old who to be fair to Weiman does try to run but doesn’t have the legs and then a cantwell walking around, I saw on countless times Gueye running past both his partners during the game, he had nothing left after around 70/75, and then Gueye looks poor towards the end as he had no energy left. for the 9 minutes kargbo got in total it was nice to see him beat a man in a 1 v 1! Not one other player in a rovers shirt has been able to do that. Got what we deserved, need the newbies up to speed quick, think I’d throw them in the deep in asap. As frustrating a player as he is, was a surprise to see Dolan get subbed. He seems to be at least running, and chances seem to come his way. Was at least in the thick of it more than hedges. Think hedges and cantwell need to stay out the team for a bit
