Mowbrays Successor

Strange really isn’t it: The Manager should be the top of any list of priorities in any business: Be prepared to pay whatever it takes to ensure that you get the absolute best that is available to deliver shareholder/stakeholder aspirations. Thats what Venkys and BRFC should be doing NOW. Do we want promotion?...Hell yeh! Can we get 20,000 plus back on Ewood again? Too bloody true we can but they need to feel a part and have something to get behind and not feel taken for granted or that money is no object. It’s not rocket science or difficult: 11 players on the pitch, in positions and playing to a pattern that we could all understand and identify with would be a bloody start! Did I forget to mention 11 hearts beating underneath the badge and the red rose?..yeh, that matters too! Push the boat out Venkys, get and pay for the best manager you can....the rest will follow. Guaranteed! WE ARE The Rovers!!! -

I get fed up with reading who many consider who we may consider that they may join us as manager. Please all, take a step back: We are Blackburn Rovers F.C.: Premier League Champions, twice Football League Champions, six times FA Cup Winners, League Cup Winners, one of 12 founder members of The Football League in 1888, one of the founder members of The Premier League in 1992, fucking believe in your/ourselves! The Club needs to sell itself because of recent times but you CANNOT change the fact that WE are the best town club and that whilst we may be a small town, we have a big history and hopefully a bloody big future!... WE ARE The Rovers!!!! -

Sad that Stuart but I (and I'd guess most folk) understand. Let's hope that there's something this summer that will rekindle his interest because once they've gone as supporters, that's usually it, it's terminal. I hope Venkys read this ! -

No, just hard graft from those employees that love BRFC and without tripwires being chucked at them by you all know who! -

Convincing win for me tonight: ToMo will be well up for it. He'll have left his snood, tape measure and theodolite in his car and will be patrolling the technical area like a panther. Unlike in recent times where he must have segs on his arse as a consequence of his inactivity. "All we need is six points from 5 games boys" will be the cry from coventrio. I don't care if we get 15 points from the last 5 games, (which I hope we do), we all now know what you all are....just fuck off elsewhere. COYB!!! -

Theakston's XB ale is ace and Rishy's XL crisps used to be ace too. Regarding all the recent talk of expected this and that, as 'Grandma' on Catheraine Tait used to say: "What a load of old shit!" -

I can't sign up to that AP: I'm a Rovers fan and always want Rovers to win, irrespective of circumstances I don't support Waggott, Mowbray or Venkys: it's Blackburn Rovers FC. I do however, understand your viewpoint. COYB!! -

Have a look at the pitch tonight...it’s in mint condition now. Despite what Mowbray has both done by training on it and said, in terms of one of a multitude of excuses for his ineptitude, the ground staff have worked their bollocks off to prepare a perfect playing surface for the lads to ply their trade on. What’s tonight’s excuse gonna be mogadon if we don’t win?..,pitch too wet/dry, too flat, not enough divots?...Try looking in the mirror and wonder why with 5 games left to play you reckon we still need 6 points to be safe! -
It shouldn’t even be a point of consideration: the facilities at Brockhall that Jack Walker gifted to us are absolutely superb. They may be 30 years old and in need of a lick of paint but that’s it. The whole proposals are absolute lunacy and nothing more than a potential money tree for some. It’s barking mad period. Hell will freeze over before we concede to these nut jobs!

Meanwhile talk to BWDC about a brown field site to bring back the club to the Borough (Blackburn not Teeside!) If it were 60 acres or more, could accommodate a Cat 1 Academy, Senior Traning Centre and all that was built first, that option may be worth considering. Thats a ‘slow build, needing several transfer windows’ but I doubt the current incumbents are thinking of waiting that long or in that order either!

Can you imagine the full backs being Hird and Bailey, with the wide midfielders in a 442 being Dolan and Elliott? I could lob one off at that prospect! 🤣 -

I don't entirely disagree ER but Mowbray wouldn't be able to get a tune out of Gazza, Gerrard, Zidane, Lampard and Shearer in their prime, never mind a kid who's just turned 18. The kid has clearly got talent in abundance but as with every bugger else, the gurning Mogadon has clearly knocked the stuffing out of him.
