Multimillion pound punts, punts on players with historical injury issues and old age freebies, all command big agents commission fees though. Perhaps I've read too many autobiographies!
-
If that were the case, then surely you'd employ the best advisors to circumvent the issue? After all, the penalties applied to those found to be non compliant in the past haven't even equated to half a Ben Brereton's cost!
-
Because of his age, could his signing not have come under the development squad/acadamy and as such not apply to FFP calculations? Raya going could also have been a way of balancing things? FFP is just an excuse anyway IMO: there's no doubt that Mowbray, Waggott and co. will hide behind that whilst they continue to frustrate the life out of us all.

The problem with Rovers as I see it from a fans perspective, is we've become stale, stagnant, boring, lacking in real direction and ambition: all the opposites of what fans really buy into. The likes of Tyrone, jim mk2, mercer (and countless others) would be at Ewood every week if things were different. That doesn't necessarily mean winning every week either. From the owners (financial backing excepted), to the executive management, to the coaching staff and players; We're Blackburn Rovers and have always had ambition and aspirations and have worn the shirt with pride, you need to either shit or jump off the pot!

I don't think you need worry in that regard, I believe Warnock's stated he's retired.

I thought I heard Mowbray state today on Radio Lancs, that there would only be incomings if 'room was made in the budget by outgoings '. Based upon that, there isn't much to get excited about in January. -

I could be wrong but did he not get sent off playing right back on his first team debut? -

We clearly see things differently bluebruce. He showed enough for me on Boxing Day (admittedly in a sea of dross) to know that he could significantly enhance our first team. -
A Christmas pressie was for the lad and I to see The Aussie Pink Floyd at KGH, November next.

I totally disagree, to the point of saying absolute nonsense. He warrants a run in a team who currently create next to nothing in terms of goalscoring chances and are now without the only other creative player for the rest of the season: Us! Buckley may be young but he'll gain stature and confidence with games played. After all what are the alternatives? -

Elvis Costello - Alison -
I agree with Buckley, he needs a decent run of games. As I mentioned in another thread, his style of play reminds me very much of Scot Sellars.

Joking aside, if Rovers grasped the opportunity now in front of them by the scruff of the neck, made 2 or 3 astute signings in the window, played a consistent formation that suited the players available. We could go up! Let's be honest, we've been generally shit and are still on the fringe........ -

I hope Buckley starts again. He has a look of Scott Sellars in his style of play for me. Ghosts past players and has an eye for a killer pass, something we really lack. COYB! -
Ultimately there were 2 home games this season where there was going to be a plethora of 'walk ons'. A major opportunity to entertain and entice missing fans back. Sadly they were 2 bore draws and nobody could have left Ewood feeling that they had been entertained and got their moneys worth, tenner or not for one of them. A big opportunity missed IMO.

Who could give a flying f**k about United or City. Best seasons greetings to all Rovers wherever you are! -
It's your fault Rev: you should have kept your mouth shut!
