Like you, I had also forgotten some of the details, but we owe it to ourselves to keep on remembering. I am convinced someone else is calling the shots and maybe there was a cryptic message in Mowbray's press conference, when he pretty much said, if I go, all you will get, is more of the same.
-
That would make sense. I wasn't sure, so thanks for clarifying, which i guess adds even more weight to my post.

Kean was questioned about Nelson's absence from the starting line up and he claimed he was badly injured. I think he even said he was in traction, his condition was so bad. A few days later, he made his debut for Spurs.

On my weekly Saturday morning jog, this morning, I was trying to make some sense of the Mowbray interview from yesterday. After 5 years, at the club, he must have seen from the inside, some of the things buried beneath the surface. Given the stable he came from, he may well have known quite a bit from the very start, but ,like any other industry, when you work at a place for as long as he has, things will have come to light that he was not are of. His comment about Pep not coming is as the next manager and eluding to us, getting more of the same, may well make some sense, as the pot of mangers, under the agency Venky's insist on using, almost certainly mean, we won't be appointing anyone, with any real pedigree. I am not too sure if Lambert was the only manager we have appointed, who was not under the HSH agency or their connections, but that's how it appears and Lambert was out of the door, in no time at all.

I had forgotten that, but yes you are correct.

Looking for the Salgado text messages, meant me revisiting certain bits of the blog. I thoughts this was pretty interesting. http://roversrevisited.blogspot.com/2011/08/fans-united-in-campaign-to-preserve.html?m=1

I think Salgado himself confirmed this. He was one of the few players, who went on record to back what some of the fans were exposing, when they were doing level best to get the powers that be involved. I would have to search to find it, but there are several text messages from him, used in the blog that Glen Mullan did. Despite certain people rubbishing the blog, as personal opinion, there are things like that, which prove some of the shady goings on.

Perhaps he should have been asked about the FA cup, given that the first round is played this weekend. No point in us entering that really, as we won’t win it.

I think other people are now thinking that way, which is exactly why Mowbray should have fallen on his sword. To be mentioned in the same breath as that cretin from days gone by, would have been unthinkable, but the longer he stays and the more shite he talks, the closer this is becoming. -

It becomes a thing when what I consider to be entertainment starts to make me angry. Investing years of your life, following your home town team, bringing your children up to do the same, only to see it destroyed by conmen and chancers, is hard to take. -

100% agree. The HSH agency has connections with the slime you mention. No way did he just get up and leave, hence the questions Coyle was asked, about his connections, when appointed. I used to wonder and strongly thought, that somehow, it was linked to betting markets, but even that makes no sense any longer. I sincerely hope that the significant changes for the better, mentioned by a couple of people is accurate, as I can’t take much more. I am due to take my 7 year old Grandson to his second ever match soon, but I’m considering cancelling his little treat. -

It is very strange and can only lead me to think, something sinister is still going on. -

Yet again then, the owners have allowed themselves to be taken in, by a bunch of chances. How can they keep on getting it so wrong? -

Better owners and proper structure, including accountability in place too. Hard to believe that they were in more turmoil than us, when Mowbray arrived. -

Exactly. No one is accountable and no one ever has been in 11 years. Unless there is someone to answer too, certain people will do as little as they can to get by. I bet when you look under the bonnet lid at Blackpool, you see a well oiled machine, designed to get the best out of the car it serves. With Rovers it’s a pile of junk and rust, that stutters along. -

What a great pity it is that 11 short years ago, the owners came in, gave Anderson a free reign and allowed him to take a wrecking ball to the club. Had we maintained our status for another 3-4 years, we would have been looking at these figures being applied to us, not some other club, who we now can’t complete with. Even after relegation, we were the team with the parachute money, yet very nearly suffered another relegation, such was their negligence. We are simply not going to recover from that ever. They are still essentially totally negligent and allowing people with an agenda to run amok and just sitting back ignoring it. -

Does it matter. Anyone could do a better job than this, but Venky’s will be still here making their strange decisions and looking for the next bit of bad advice. -

There is no honesty and integrity at the club and it shows. From the owners to the CEO manager and even most players. They just take the piss out of the fans, hence most turning their backs on the club. -

That’s the biggest defeat in my lifetime watching Rovers. No guts, no passion, no style, no quality, no desire and no hope. Venkys are poison and I want rid of them more than ever after this. If Mowbray doesn’t go tonight, that’s got to be the end for even the remaking 9,000 hardy souls. It’s a new low for the club and something drastic needs to be done. Allardyce was sacked after a hammering at Old Trafford. This was Fulham at home. Mowbray out NOW. -
Brockhall STC - planning permission application ?

Terrible Rovers fans never gave him a chance. Hopefully Braintree will. I wonder if he is as well paid there, as he was when he got a premier league contract under the odious manager? He could be a late developer and turn into a brilliant tea lady. -

Exactly and I am sure a buying club would look at that, not to mention the medics doing the medical too. Sometimes a bird in the hand, is the way to go, so long as his contract extension isn't chicken feed. -

In a lot of ways, the biggest incentive Nyambe should have, for signing his new contract, should be his injury record. Another club would be taking a chance on that, as would the player himself, by letting his contract run down.
