  1. I spoke directly to a scout of a current championship side, yesterday, who is also a former player and pretty well connected. He told me WBA had made an approach and the compensation figure there were quoted, put them off, as they were not prepared to pay it. I suspect that is why, he has now drifted, but I can imagine he will not be too pleased, given the likely pay rise and move to a club closer to home. I am pretty sure that is accurate, knowing the person who told me, as well as I do.
  2. From what I hear, it is Pasha who stops the deals, despite giving the recruitment team the agreed budget. Perhaps WATR can verify that.
  3. I think it’s a touch harsh stating that JDT lost his way. JDT got pissed off being given shite to work with, so played them at their own game and eventually moved on and paid to do so. The same will happen with Eustace and we can’t suggest he lost his way can we, if he gets next to nothing in this window and we finish half way or worse? Sadly blaming the manager for losing his way, is exactly what the powers that be, want us to think, a bit like the Burnley fans gloating about our record against them, since this ownership racked up. This version of Rovers is nothing like the one, who spanked their arses, for years, but the club has not lost its way, it has just been infested for a while.
  4. He could go Schlupping every week, with the other new signing.
  5. It has been stated in the transfer thread, that he is the one making the final decision on everything and is therefore responsible for things like the transfers breaking down and by the sounds of it the ground falling into disrepair due to his decision not to allow expenditure required for such matters. Whether he admits to that or not, or has a title fitting of essentially deciding the very future of the club though is debatable. He needs to become a but more visible in my opinion and also admit to what he is actually responsible for, hence the JDT quote form last year "Ask Suhail and Steve".
  6. I think JDT was relatively controlled for a while, whilst still getting his point across especially in the press. This seems to be how Eustace is right now. I have a feeling he will blow though, if he gets badly let down this window and it already feels like he is getting his point across in the press, as we have seen with the list. In the event of him leaving due to not being backed, the new man will be wheeled in, fans given another round of what direction we are heading in and away we go again. Plenty have said Suhail needs to be targeted if change is to be brought about and I think we saw how he reacted when called out by the trust, so I do agree with that and perhaps another vote of no confidence being threatened needs to take place, if the above, does play out.
  7. My current favorite is the explanation that we receive funds for out going transfers in stages, so what looks like £20m or £10m doesn’t really count. We always pay all of the incoming deals up front though (yeah right) so we need to buy cheap, or free.
  8. Interesting and given what has been said on here about Eustace taking no shit , it could be a battle of wits between Suhail and Eustace in the next 3 weeks. Do you think Eustace will be brave enough to call him out(JDT style) in the press, if they start playing the games they have done, in the last 3 January windows, or will an admin error on deadline day be forgiven?
  9. That depends on whether or not, these honourable people have been honest or not. I know where my money is and it isn’t in their bond.
  10. Can we not put him on a diet and ban him from going anywhere near sweet syrup?
  11. I always go back to this and have never deviated. They are covering something up and the sinister things going on in India with them being investigated, compounds my thoughts on this, even more.
  12. I can’t agree with that. My heart was pounding for the entire match yesterday, as I always want to do them. I have Venky’s, but will always love Rovers. They will be gone one day.
  13. Highly likely to get more desperate as each day passes. I think it is very doubtful that we will have signed anyone , by the time, we play Pompey.
  14. I agree. I think Tronstad is an absolute gem. I would be very surprised if he doesn’t collect the player if the season award, if he carries on with his current level, for the rest of the season. With or without Travis in the side, he does a lot of the dirty work and contributes massively, to our lack of goals conceded.
  15. Poor game overall lacking in quality. It is stating the obvious, but we need a striker and fast, but I can't see us getting one.
  16. If you subscribe to Rovers TV it’s available in Germany.
  17. For those there, enjoy and give it loud and proud. Living in Spain has made it difficult to get there today. To others abroad who subscribe, it is available if you pop to Germany Very Pretty Niftily.
  18. If he ever scores a hat trick for us, the wife will need to go and buy some new furniture.
  19. They could lack the bite and hunger required now, so we will hopefully eat them for dinner.
  20. Maybe best not reacting to the baiting. If someone is trying to get under your skin, ignoring it is far better than reacting to them, I find. Enjoy the result come what may as it was a good one.
  21. Incredible searching for faults with one of our most consistent performers. Brilliant yet again today and has been all season. No wonder he is captain whilst Travis is out.
