  1. It is quite baffling that some supporters feel that way. I know the bulk of the posters on here are anti Venky's and there have been some questions, quite rightly asked about how we would survive without Venky's, but we are nearly 150 years old. we survived before they arrive and we will survive after they have gone. All they have ever done is increase our debt. we have had NO success with them and will always be in financial danger, whist they are here. We are a far bigger club than Derby (based on our success) and according to the experts they have a 95% chance of surviving. Get rid of our owners now for me and bring on administration, as if Derby have a 95% chance of surviving, our will be even higher. Venky's out for me and the sooner the better. FOV
  2. That has been predicted and perhaps the changes will be akin to Derby. Derby County: Club have '95% chance' of survival, say administrators - BBC Sport
  3. It has to end somewhere, as I am sure in another 10 years, with the possibility of the debt doubling, Venky's won't still be around. Unless they are prepared to carry on losing £20 million every season, something will eventually give and we will then be in administration. It WILL happen at some point.
  4. Just check Bolton Wanderers story out & Wigan and yo will see the way. It is not all doom and gloom as you suggest. Venky's have saddled us with this debt, so if they want their money back, they put us into administration and the administrators, look for a suitable buyer, who buys us out of admin, with a business plan and the funds to carry on running the club. They will get very little back and it is the football creditors, who create the problem, but there are ways of dealing with that. I guarantee Derby will survive and so would we.
  5. What and score less than 5 you mean?
  6. There is every chance he will have a release clause. His form up to the next window, is crucial for him and Rovers, not to mention, to a few fans too, who lumped on him to score 20 league goals.
  7. That wouldn’t surprise me and would be a relief. Surely he owes Rovers some loyalty, after the faith we have showed in him?
  8. A very strange one that. Blue and white with blue shorts was surely the best option.
  9. A mute point I guess. If we have a player who has a 20 goal plus season and we sell him for a profit of £8 million, I would say he was a good signing and a good sale.
  10. Carry on at the rate he is and he will be worth £15 at least. I have never thought of him as a good signing, but it could turn it that he was.
  11. I think that’s why many will take a trip into administration to get rid of Venkys. Eleven years is far too long to be saddled with people, who are truly incompetent and if that’s the way to get them out, I would take it. Wigan, Bolton and Blackpool have all gone through it and all now seem to be progressing again. I am of the opinion, that we will have plenty of takers to buy us out of admin and start the journey back, with people who care.
  12. If he continues the season like he has started it and we do have the one year extension, in theory he should be worth what Armstrong was, if not a bit more. Hopefully there is no sell on clause either, so he could well turn out to have been a good signing.
  13. It’s pretty straight forward to do your homework on us at the minute. Log on to this site and see what most fans think, yet the manager doesn’t. Almost everyone who cared to comment knew the same back line as Huddersfield was going to mean handing the points to the opposition and that proved to be the case. I don’t know how much Mowbray is being paid, but if he can’t see what the average fan can, then it’s time to hold your hands up and admit, your time is up.
  14. There is a strong chance he will come back with a new contract. Ability to do the job, is not a pre requisite with these owners. In fact, you are likely to be given the thumbs up, if they like you and you have a likeable wife.
  15. It’s a huge problem what is being allowed to happen, with players contracts. I’m sure there is a great deal of difficulty, getting the balance right between being held to ransom with a player and them walking away for free, but the Bosman rule has been with us for years now. If Waggot is the one tasked with getting this right, he needs replacing immediately. If the owners are unable to sort this out in 11 years, then you have to wonder if they ever will. If they still don’t get it now, then they should not be allowed to carry on. After all the once described the club as their baby and how the would respect the Jack Walker legacy. All I see is total disregard for the whole set up and it’s no longer acceptable.
  16. You bet. This money trail must have been buried very deeply.
  17. Just 50p. I don’t gamble much to be honest and would be happy with £250 of it comes in.
  18. It’s amazing what a glass full of confidence can do for someone.
  19. It’s a disappointment losing and yet again, the feeling that this is the start of a bad run, is bound to surface, due to that being a regular feature, under this manager. It makes Saturday big in more ways than one and given the likely weakened defence , it becomes a big worry. The best form of defence is attack, so I think we need to go at them on Saturday and try to get the positive start, firmly cemented and go into the international break on a high. Hopefully the break will give us the chance to get the injured players back and have some impetus again. It will be a long two week break, should we lose.
  20. Don’t worry, changes are on the horizon.
  21. He was 1000/1 to get 20 goals. I got it at 500/1
  22. Agreed and I never saw in Lowe, what I have seen in Buckley.
  23. It's only Saturday games that are being being to certain countries, this applies to. It is poor that you only find out, at the last minute at times, but I think most games will be available for people who live abroad.
