  1. Just settled down behind the couch, to watch this, through my fingers.
  2. Newcastle had gates of under 20,000 in the 80’s yet everyone assumes, they always had incredible support. Chelsea were very similar too.
  3. I get the reaction to be honest, as you look at a 19 year old prospect, who will go on to better things and a miss firing striker, who has done that at least 4 times so far this season.
  4. Much as I would love to be proved wrong, I whole heartedly agree on Gueye. To me he looks totally lost on a football pitch and his pathetic shot in the first half today, summed him up completely. It’s not the first time either, he is a dud so far in my opinion.
  5. It’s felling like the death spiral yet again, which is a great pity, given where we were. I think line up was wrong and we managed to miss two gilt edged chances, gave Hull their first clean sheet away from home and just didn’t get going. A very disappointing day all round and one, we may not recover from.
  6. I think Cozier Dubbery will be key here in the second half. He looks the most threatening by a mile.
  7. I always worry, when the roof will come off is mentioned at this game.
  8. The first thing I remember about my class at school and discussing football as a 7 year old, was quite a few asking, why I was a Rovers fan, when we were in the lower reaches of the third division. My stock reply was, it’s our local club and given our school was slap bang in the middle of Blackburn, stuck with that forever. We had a mixture of Liverpool, Leeds, Man United and City “fans” and I was probably one of only two Rovers fans. The big thing for me, was not a single one of them, had even been to a home game to support “their” team, where as I never missed a home game. I am sure there were reasons why we had a mixture of other fans, but I will always believe that unless you are influenced by a close friend or family member, choosing a team, who are doing well and jumping on the band wagon, is one of the worst reasons, I can think of.
  9. Their manager earned his corn for sure with the adjustments he made at half time.
  10. Funny how we see things differently. I thought he was abysmal and the two attacks that broke down, due to him being way offside, made me wonder if he even knows the offside rule.
  11. I honestly don’t think Guye belongs on a football pitch.
  12. I think you have to give Pears credit there. He stood up well and timed the challenge to perfection
  13. He only agreed to a meeting with WATR as they were about to go public with a vote of no confidence in the ownership. It seems to have calmed things down for now.
  14. It could have been a good time to get out of his temporary post though. MU 0 the mighty Bournemouth 3
  15. All the best SC. Always nice to think of the nice Christmases spent with family, when thinking of the loved ones we have lost. I had to say goodbye to my Dad on Christmas Eve, as that was the day of his funeral 16 years ago on Tuesday. Never an easy time, but thinking of the good memories helps.
  16. A game lacking in quality and just a shame we conceded so late. When I saw 8 added, I did wonder if we could hold on with 10. Disappointing as that is, I would have taken anyone to task, has they said we would win 6 out of the last 7. We are in the top 6 at Christmas, which is a real achievement, but the big question now is, can we kick on?
  17. Surely that's got to be a fix, as he is shit isn't he?
  18. It simply has to be a wind up. Tronstad oozes class and his first half performance was as perfect for that role, as anything anyone will see this weekend.
