  1. I honestly don’t think that’s correct. Granted it’s nothing to do with Rovers, but it has everything to do with the owners. They have been caught sending illegal funds and were unable to send any more without absolutely clarity of what the funds were paying and getting the courts permission. Right now they cannot send any further funds and need to wait until the hearing in August, which will not only determine if they can send funds then. It will also clarify if they will be banned from sending any funding permanently.
  2. I thought someone on here said it has. I haven’t checked so obviously that was wrong then.
  3. Given that account has now been closed down, yes very fishy.
  4. This is again, exactly why Waggott stated that the funds were coming in February. His line was, I provided a full breakdown of what the exact amounts needed were and what they were for. The court accepted that and the funds were released. Given this, a precedent has been set, so the same will happen in February. He perhaps did not account for an adjournment, but he did state that we only had the funds (in late November) to pay everything until February. As we now know the Wharton sale meant funds did come in to carry on, but it must have been a close run thing.
  5. Which demonstrates yet again that the often trotted out communication, “The owners never fail to sign a cheque” is also nonsense.
  6. Exactly why I think this was an ambiguous statement. I think some people are under the impression that they can send funds, when in truth, they can’t.
  7. If we spend more than we bring in, I will be extremely surprised. I am not in the know, but do expect the court to stop any further funding.
  8. That's exactly why I am of the firm opinion that the owners cannot send any more funds over, until the court hearing at the earliest.
  9. That's probably a good shout and I for one, would be gutted if he did end up there.
  10. I really believe the club (Waggott) have been really evasive on this, as there is no doubt whatsoever that the owners (granted not the club) are or certainly have been, the subject of an investigation. They have had property seized and been stopped from sending funds without the permission of the court. To go on record in a meeting to say the club is not the subject of an investigation, is a bum steer, as what we really need to know right now, is are the allowed to fund us or not and I am of the opinion that they aren't. Perhaps some clarity can be sought at the next meeting.
  11. Good question and one I am particularly interested in too. Hopefully an answer will be posted by the Trust.
  12. Keep the numbers high, so that those taking their cut under the radar, can remain there secretly taking their.
  13. I actually dread to think where will be in 2 years time to be honest. I think the club is in serious trouble right now and will be very surprised if something major doesn't happen between now and Christmas, that put's the very future of BRFC in jeopardy.
  14. Go back to page 35 of the plot thickens thread and have a careful read. The money from the season ticket sales and the £7- £10m mentioned to fund transfers, may just be going elsewhere I think. People seem to want to bury their heads in the sand.
  15. It is a very easy thing to do, throw out statements like they have during the WATR meeting, saying the can fund us now, so long as they put the equivalent amount in a bond and then (assuming this 25% cut is true) put out another announcing cut backs. Our fate will be decided by an Indian court and as we already know, they have to go down this route, due to being caught making illegal payments.
  16. So what is it this year, a change in the Indian National Insurance laws?
  17. I take it you mean Damien and not what we will end up with this coming season.
  18. Currently 3/1 to make the final squad.
  19. I will go on record now to say, that no way in this world, will Eustace get us promoted in a couple of seasons. I know we don't have a clue what the squad will look like yet, but I would almost guarantee that will will be in the bottom half again next year and be very surprised of we are not relegated.
  20. This is in a lot of ways, where Broughton earned his corn. Extending the contract for Szmodics was good business for the club, as it means we will get a good fee for him, should the expected suitors come along. The downside is of course that is in highly unlikely that the fee will achieve much as transfer funds are probably going to be needed to fund the running of the club.
  21. We would now be looking at problems such as unpaid wages, had we not sold him. Sadly our esteemed owners who never fail to sign a cheque, had got themselves into some serious issues and are currently banned from sending money to fund us.
  22. The club had a one year option in their favour and decided to take it up. Had they not done, then both would now be free agents and able to leave with no fee to Rovers. Now that they are under contract for a year, if anyone wants to sign them, we will get a fee. It may well be that both stay and leave on a free next summer. Time will tell.?
