  1. With Plod's resources as they are, the Fraud Squad aren't interested in anything under ten million!
  2. The red ball will be slightly lighter than the blue ball when the pickers pick, it’s written in the FA stars.
  3. Looking at his Stats, I was only born in 63, his best years were with us, but I was too young to watch him. See he passed in a Spanish rest home. It's always sad when one of ours goes. All the thoughts with his family.
  4. I've diverted lives of the rich and poor to "Where are they now!"
  5. As there is a large amount of activity in the transfer thread, there's been some fun as to where former Rovers have lived, bearing in mind the silly money currently on offer, and humble digs, homes, etc - Just asking for some stories?
  6. There is a new thread here in itself. A player at some point must have lived on Nuttall Street!
  7. According to his interview in the LT, he's fit! He seems genuinely happy to be back, said really positive things about our club, and I wish him well. Young, time to heal, I'm sure TM will nurse him. Impact sub, step up to the PL next season!
  8. When you are on a million a month, he can probably pay to have it widened, a la Manky ship canal, all the way to the sea!
  9. You have the advantage over me as to the popular spots for spoiled footballers to live! Sutton had a swimming pooled house in Chaigley, Ripley lived on what was the executive estate of its time off the A59 at Langho, and when I lived in Waddington, Le Saux was renting just down from the Waddy Arms! That's the full extent of my knowledge!
  10. He does know he can moor them on the Leeds, Liverpool?
  11. 70 miles, 60 from the hot spots of Cheshire to Blackburnium?
  12. Anywhere but Salford it seems!
  13. To be fair, Northumberland is rather beautiful, although I think the Forest of Bowland is our well kept secret..Bradley is moving though!
  14. He suits the name Agnes!
  15. 13/9/8/5/4, 2 and 1 were all ours! Seems he kept his best till last! Absolute class.
  16. To be fair, the only time I ever went was to see a mate at Uni, and he took me to Beverley (not a euphemism), where there were pubs galore. I remember very little of that evening! Mick, if you are on here, get in touch!
  17. Here I am again, filling a void. Talking tosh. Reet, they are Yorkshire, we are better. It's apparently 111 miles according to an app I used between the two grounds (ours is better, I've been to theirs). One hour fifty seven, if the M62 isn't snowy. They were founded in 1904, and are apparently a City. In the words of Shania Twain, "That don't impress me much". They've won nowt, and got to the promised land in 2007, briefly. They share a love of strange owner/s. Head to head: W 30 D 17 L 15 We had our first meeting in the FA Cup in 1947, when we won in a replay. First league meeting in the old Div 2, 22nd August 1949 at Ewood, 4-2 win. Last home league game, 13/02/16, lost as we know, Duffy played, enough said, 13,902, were there (could have been more, probably less). They are nicknamed the Tigers. Not sure why, save for their kit. Our's is miles better. And we have a dog, a person's best friend. Tiger's are not friendly. And are not indigenous to the Humber? Facts about them: They are called Hullensians, we are Rovers. They installed an independent telephone system in 1902. They were very proud of their white telephone boxes. We have got a red phone box on Clayton Street with more information on the ladies of the town that you would ever need. They have a really long bridge to nowhere, so have we Players - Danny Graham and Mark Atkins were both on loan to them. Far better here! Actors - Tom Courtney, I'll give them that, beats Ian McShane? Just. Comedians - Reece Shearsmith v Steve Pemberton - they can fight it out between themselves, mates! Pop stars - Beautiful South v Diana Vickers....I know who I'd prefer! So there you have it. It's a big game. Three points would be great. Need to start winning games back to back. Momentum, according to Grease, is the word. COYB's.
  18. I'll do it tomorrow if no other takers?
  19. Five best isn't enough, five worst, yes probably, as it could run into many under the loons!
  20. I couldn't get a ticket for the Bury promotion, and couldn't drive as too young. FMC, at Uni, went on the coach on my own, racked up debt to go, but first piece of silverware for ages! Derby County away, that led to the play off at Wembley. Leicester in the final. Spurs at Cardiff. Liverpool to win the PL. I was at them all! A fantastic era in our history.
  21. Pissed, obviously......and probably JLowe as well. Only way he could swivel that easily.
  22. I'll need time to think, as my viewing only goes back to the late 70's. First thoughts........worst, I'll put it out there. 31/12/11, we win at the theatre of shite.........Ferguson from memory dropped Rooney and others for breaking curfew? Had we lost 5-0, the dark lord would/must have been sacked? I never thought winning at OT would be so bitter sweet. It kept the traitor in a job, and must have sent the loons into heaven. We all know what happened next.
