How about Lee Bowyer, could really give us a lethal midfield with Savage and Bowyer as our central pair... -

A Chelsea H Charlton A Man City A Arsenal With 3 of our next 4 games being away from home it is sure going to be a tough ride. I expect 3 points against Charlton though, and at least a point from the three others. As said, 4points would be fairly good, but we have already beaten ManU at OT so why can't we get something at the Bridge or at Highbury? I would so love it if we were the first to beat Chelsea in the PL this season...

Todays line up: ROVERS: Friedel, Neill, Khizanishvili, Nelsen, Gray, Bentley, Tugay, Savage, Pedersen, Dickov, Kuqi. Subs: Enckelman, Emerton, Bellamy, Reid, Todd. BIRMINGHAM: Maik Taylor, Tebily, Cunningham, Upson, Clapham, Pennant, Johnson, Butt, Lazaridis, Forssell, Heskey. Subs: Vaesen, Martin Taylor, Pandiani, Kilkenny, Jarosik. Good to see we have some firepower on the bench in Emerton and Bellamy. By the way, Bjarte and his girfriend (also a rover) are both on Canal+ here in Norway, watching on telly now... -

Give it a few days and you won't hear much of it ever agian, apart from the away fans at Old Trafford... -
Hughes haven't been a Premier League manager for a full season yet, so I dubt he will leave us for a bigger club anytime soon. A top 8 finish this season and Hughes surely will recive a lot of praise in the media, but so will the likes of Stuart Pierce and Big Sam if Man City and Bolton get a good run. Thats life of a small club, we don't get the chance to build a unit that could be in the running for some silveware. If a player becomes a star then a big club will snap him up, and the same goes for the manager... West Ham would surely be among the best in the country today if it hadn't been for this fact.

These are the kind of games we really should win. Even though we lost against Liverpool we are in good shape at the moment, just need Bellamy back. Rovers 2 Brum 1 Bellamy, Dickov Heskey Att: 18 750 -
Because it would make the games more interesting for us Rovers fans..

Will be an interesting play-off draw tomorrow, but since FIFA decided it's going to be a seeded draw, we don't really got much of a chance getting to Germany. Seeded teams: Spain Czech Republic Turkey Will play against: Slovakia Norway Switzerland Please don't start a Norway, hahaha thread though as we might get lucky and win 2-0 at home against Spain and 1-1 away, just like we did against England a few years ago.. Remember this table: Norway 10 7 2 1 25- 5 16 Holland 10 6 3 1 29- 9 15 England 10 5 3 2 26- 9 13 Poland 10 3 2 5 10-15 8 Tyrkey 10 3 1 6 11-19 7 San Marino 10 0 1 9 2-46 1 Glad to see times haven't changed since then...

We have a chance if we get lucky with the draw.. Best case, we meet Bosnia, and dont tell me we can't beat them..
-
Really looking forward to the play-off draw friday. I can't really see us beating any of the other 2nd place teams though.. Hope we draw Turkey, but since the draw is going to be seeded I'm sure we are going to face the likes of Spain or the Czech Republic..

So you won and are a step closer to playing in the World Cup, still you complain and are asking for the managers head...oh dear, you Englishmen, will you ever be happy? Face it, you just aint that good... -
Thanks, now we just need a win against Moldova to secure a place in the play-off. Have a good weekend guys...
-
Agree, but surely picking Taylor over Gray won't make us much worse.
-
Any chance he could play against Leeds? We should try using some of these younger players in the League Cup and such, give them some first team experience..
-
He has played for England U19 and U20, so he must be a talented player, anyone seen him play, if so, do you think he can be a first team regular? Just seen the interview on Rovers world, where they talked about us having many players who can play left back, and it would be hard for him to earn a 1st team place. They didn't mention anything about the fact that they are all crap though..
-
Just read about it in a norwegian online newspaper, here. No-idea who it is, but they say he is one of ManU's biggest talents, and is already playing for his country. The repported rape took place in a fivestar London hotell saturday night. Very strange that I can't find anything on the story either on skysports or bbc.

nope, we don't stand a chance. You have a good manager, the problem is that your stupid press are calling for his head everytime you don't win a match with 2 or 3 goals. What is Sven's stats as England's manager btw? -

You guys will never be happy with your side, the fact of the matter is that you don't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning the world cup regardless of who your manager is. -

Negatives: 1. The keeper can't shoot the ball past the halfway-line 2. Its very hard running past players, even Owen struggle running away from Amoruso 3. Its almost impossible to burst with the ball to get past people, that was much better on Fifa 2005 Champions League 4. The opositon defenders takes way to much time on the ball, trying to dribble instead of using a simple pass. 5. To easy to shot very good shots, as in Fifa 2005 Champions League it was to hard, or was it that the keeper acted like superman Positives 1. My rumble pad doesn't vibrate when entering the game -

After Liverpool's embarrassing 4-1 loss against Chelsea they will be fireing on all cylinders trying to score a couple against us. I'm sure they will be far more attacking minded in their formation, so lets hope Bellamy is back so we can get some pace up front, and hit them hard on the break. Our defense seems to struggle against a tall target man, and since no-one is taller than the huge pole they have upfront we need to be aware of the runs around him (that was non-existent against Chelsea) If we are going to play 4-4-2 we need Savage back in the heart of midfield, and we also need a bit more discipline from from him. We can't have him running out of positon, as he should keep a good eye on Gerrard, the only real quality player Liverpool got. My prediction: Liverpool 1 Rovers 1
