A point at anfield is a bloody good result, so I'm not going to moan like some of the people on here.
-
I laugh at England. Always thinking their team is the best in the world when the fact is that they aint better than the results are showing. Eriksson did a good job, but still everyone was calling for his head. As England manager you just can not win..
-
Don't think so. Neill will surely leave for peanuts in January or for nothing in July.
-
A bloody joke that he is club captain!

Happy with the draw, we have a good chance of progressing.

Highlights for the Wigan game aint working! And the Boro game I had to watch on "low" quality because it wasn't available in "high" quality. This needs sorting out...

when is the draw? -
Born in Bergen, Norway so I support my local side SK Brann. Other than that its only Blackburn Rovers. Don't see any problems there.

Great win and a cleen sheet! Can't get much better than that. -
If the trend over the last 5 years continues then our average attendence would look something like this in the coming years: (these are numbers based on little data material, not statistical valid, but still) 06/07 19 939 07/08 18 922 08/09 17 957 09/10 17 041 10/11 16 172 11/12 15 347 12/13 14 564 13/14 13 822 14/15 13 117 15/16 12 448 16/17 11 813

In fact the crowd at the Charlton game was 27 506. Last season the game against Charlton the crowd was 17 691
-
Since the 2001/2002 season around 100 000 less people have come to Ewood Park. Total attendence in 01/02 was 493 481 while last season it was 399 288, it will surely drop below that this season. I've estimated that the total attendence this season will be 378 000. (figures are PL home games only) If the average price of a ticket in 01/02 was £20, then the average price of a ticket in 06/07 (in order to gain as much revenue as in 01/02) would have to be around £26 based on a total of 378 000.

I agree with you, but as long as the big clubs have no problems with high wage bills then noting will be done. The top foregin stars are of course here to make good money, if it wasn't for the high wages in England they would have stayed in a nicer climate like Spain. If we want to play in the PL we just have to accept this, even if our crowd drops below 15 000.
-
As Paul says lets cut our wages by 50% then we will lose all our best players resulting in us getting relegated a couple of divisions, no problem there. We can then have cheeper tickets because of the massive savings in wages. This would also get people back to Ewood because there ain't much TV coverage in the lower leagues. All our players should be hard working Englishmen who join us in the pub after the game, just like the good old days...
-
I dont think we would, even at £10. Where I live in Bergen our local team is top of the league with only about half a dusin game left. There are roughly around 250k people living here, around 17 000 turnes up on match day. We are now building a new stadium which holds 20 000, but I do not think we will fill that week in week out. Also, the average cost of a ticket is something around £10 I would imagine. Add to that the high income levels in Norway, this aint much money. There aint 250 000 people living in Blackburn, and income levels are not as high, so at £10 a game I have no believe in us filling Ewood Park on a regular basis.

So signing the likes of Jeffers, Henchoz, Ball, Sheringham and Sutton ain't showing a lack of ambition? I bet Hughes aint signing these players because he has high hopes for them, its simply because he aint given enough transfer money to sign some real quality... A shame really, but thats life..
-
Anyone know which BBC channel showing the program?
-
haha, don't think so. I saw someone on here posting that we were in for Sheringham also. On a serious note, if we even try to sign any of those we are showing the whole football world just how little ambitions we have.

They have a strong defence and some good attacking players. Can't really see us beating them on our current form. Boro 3 Rovers 0 -

You should get Dominic Matteo's and then sell it on ebay afterwards, you might earn a little fortune..
