  1. Don't worry if Waggot can convince someone to take Eustace in January, he can blame the lack of transfer activity on trying to find his replacement 😇
  2. Whittaker hadn't scored or assisted in 12 consecutive games... Cue Rovers to break that duck
  3. Agreed there were both great, completely different type of player. One could score a goal and had a decent pass on him the other worked his arse off and turns out he could score a goal too 👍. Don't think Dack will ever be back in the Championship though, shadow of his former self and honestly think he is in the end stages of football and this is his last throw of the dice to see if he can even do it anymore.
  4. A few on here said we overpaid and they preferred Dack to be fair...
  5. Look at his hair though... So much longer & full than Sammie's, that's gotta be woth £5m alone right? 😆
  6. Nah suits Waggott & Venkys, that way the money stays where it is paying the bills so they don't have too
  7. Not going to be able to afford him... he has played in Champions League and played in a Top League in Scotland, that adds £5m+ to the transfer fee if some are to be believed on here 😂
  8. Oh don't worry we sell them on the cheap also... see Adam Wharton 😏
  9. Ok quite simple... He went to the Premier League which pays higher fees on avaerage the Eredivisie. He had 3 years left on his contract. 2 years worth of Inflation and increased money in the English Leagues. Szmodics has more letters in his name so increased revenue on club shop shirts name sales 😉 £15m guaranteed money player in 2024, no other championship club would have sanctioned a £9m sale of that i'm sure.
  10. so around the 30% increase in line with inflation and let's also factor in Akpom was also in the last year of his contract... yeah £9m sounds really good for us doesn't it?
  11. Like I said most are nearly a decade ago, Pope is a goalkeeper who naturally are the lowest value area of the pitch, even at the highest level. A 29 year old top Championship scorer named in the Team of the Season for the Championship is worth more in 2024 than 2015 thats just basic economics. His age is meaningless Ipswich gave him a 4 year deal, spread the £9m over the 4 years and you are saying his value to us is £2.25 a season (which is infact less as we have to pay Peterborough a cut too) Would you have loaned him out for £2m this season? The fee once again deemed acceptable by the board is piss poor.
  12. Most of those are pushing a decade ago... the only one of recent times in there is Akpom, and he was in last year of contract so again proves the point we had our pants pulled down over the fee. It should have been £12m with another £3m in add-ons, that I would say is a fair enough deal. As it is our directors have shafted us once again
  13. Or if he shows he is worth the initial outlay he could sit out his contract and leave on a free à la Brereton. Now if Idah signs a 10 year contract then your point will hold more weight than if he signs for under 5 years...
  14. Personally believe that the theory behind parachute payments is a good one, keep the club stable while they readjust to new lower income after relegation, but when they are spending this kind of money on players the money is clearly not needed for the intended purpose and they should forfeit the money and it should get spread across the rest of the Football League. Let the pee with the willy they got like the rest of us
