  1. Yes it is, because the money goes into the club, and the club is bigger than Venkys. Even if the bank take it all it ultimately still benifits the club by reducing debt.
  2. Ok so by thinking, selling Sam Gallagher for £50m wouldn't be a good deal either I guess?
  3. £22m for a teenager with less than 50 apps in the Championship who isnt a U21 capped player moving to a non European competing team in the Premier League is a decent deal. Whatever happens to the money doesn't change the fact the deal is decent.
  4. Ahh, see that's where you are mistaken this is not a D&D forum.
  5. Right so you got nothing... because what we have is a case of a transfer that was consented by both parties, no forcing out of any kind. We got a decent deal, the lad gets a crack at the Prem along with all the boons that come with it & all the money we get goes into the Venky black hole never to be heard of again.
  6. So enlighten how was he pressured to leave?... I'll wait
  7. Being pressured to leave would be illegal and the lad could have taken legal action against whoever pressured him to leave. Truth is he was told a deal has been agreed and the club are happy for him to seek pastures new. No coercion, intimidation, threats or physical force. So no forcing him out at all.
  8. You understand he had a 5 year contract here right? Players hold all the power, if he didn't want to go... he wouldn't have gone.
  9. Him to look gutted and forced out like the narrative some on here would have you believe. The lad is happy as he should be.
  10. Ok chief... lad looks delighted
  11. Doesn't look unhappy, looks positively glowing. Forced out, my arse 😆
  12. No loan fee & 0% contribution to wages then i'll accept it, any monetary transaction involved then i'm sorry its a waste of yet more money we don't have and offers nothing that we need to add to the squad that one of our youth cant provide
  13. No just spunking a hefty loan fee on someone for 4 months with no ROI...
  14. Yeah, why not sign a play who is from a League in the off season, for 4 months and pay them for the privilege... Sounds a smart decision 🥴
  15. Wasn't there 3 waiting on medicals last Winter Deadline Day too?... We all know how that ended up playing out 😒
  16. John Aldridge demanded £250k from Liverpool to leave Liverpool who had no obligation to pay him anything, they paid him up to get him gone...
  17. If we are giving anyone £7,000 per week in a loyalty bonus then we are fooked financially no matter how many cuts we make
  18. To be fair we get/got a better fee thanks to him having a 5 year deal
  19. But is his Mum back following Rovers on Twitter/X? 😉
  20. That's fair enough, still doesn't mean he has to respect that decision though. If my family pet had an incurable disease that was killing it slowly week on week to the point it cant even eat/move anymore, im not going to keep the poor thing in pain out of some form of "well, I'll miss him if he aint there lying on the floor in the morning when I wake up" ritual. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is the right thing...
  21. Dont forget all the press shots parading Wharton in Palace garb will be done outside in daylight just to rub salt into the wounds... Too late my arse
  22. Remember us being linked to him back in 19/20 after we took Rothwell from them. Still got the target list that Mowbray left in his drawer I see.
  23. No Championship club thrives 😆 that's the point. They equally have not gone into reverse. They are stagnant, which is how the Premier League want it. Championship clubs all feed the middle to bottom of the Premier League with talent or game time for thier kids to develop while hoping to be the next chosen one who makes a breakthrough via a knockout shot in the play-offs.
