New Kits
rog of the rovers replied to laughatthedingles's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Umbro kit launch watch Expect a variation on this for the away kit. My heart says red and black, but logic says different colours. Note the cuffs......They are definitely coming -

Further confirmation the cuffs are coming! Bournemouth away, nice shirt. Also, as said, expect this to be the keeper kit, but with different sponsor/badge -

That Derby shirt is very nice. I had a dream (fellow saddo) last night that I was at the launch event of the new kits. The shirt was blue and white halves with red cuffs, but the badge was in the middle (looked a lot like the European kit we had with Kappa)....so naturally I was getting a bit frustrated......then they revealed the away kit...... Claret and blue! I thought.....oh no.....people are not going to be happy!!!! Fortunately, I then woke up -

To confirm yesterdays post, home and away shirts will almost definitely have cuffs. Both solid kits (obviously colour aside) although the away kit is rather plain! Expect Rovers shorts and socks to be similar design Also keeper kit confirms the Umbro template. -

Big fan of new kits and when they come out Judging by what else I've seen from Umbro I have a few speculative guesses at details Blue and White Halves - Obviously, nothing to suggest the colours won't be flipped, but Umbro do have a history of doing so (11/12 kit) Umbro taping at the bottom of the sleeves, probably in a different colour to the sleeves. Maybe a blue cuff at the bottom of the right sleeve and a white cuff at the bottom of the left? Cuff colour to match collar? Everton Keeper kit link http://evertondirect.evertonfc.com/stores/everton/en/product/everton-goalkeeper-home-shirt-2018-19/227816?cur=GBP&CMP=GBC-everton112&portal=everton112&gclid=CjwKCAjwxZnYBRAVEiwANMTRX7u5AGkI2HccKMld2Wy9d_ebY7vBnKiYEvfoRj47NG95ojKhMyTnbhoChxgQAvD_BwE Umbro always use the same template for their keeper kits, so I'd expect a variation on this in two colours. 17/18 used Pink and Green, I'd guess one of these colours will change in 18/19 if not both. Yellow perhaps? Red too I also predict the 18/19 away kit won't be red, because it was partially red last season. Obvious guesses are Navy or Yellow or White. New Caen kit uses an interesting template, this would look great in red and black, but would be VERY SIMILAR to the 17/18 kit. The training kit should give the first clue of what colour WON'T be used as an away kit. I'd predict Red training jackets/tops -
Lets not forget we're going into a league, where champions Wolves paid £15.8m for Ruben Neves! Heck even Derby County paid £7m for Tom Lawrence!

Another thing bites the dust Was nice to be able to hear the managers thoughts post match. I guess you can get this service through Radio Lancs, but loses that personal touch.

rog of the rovers replied to Blue n White Rover's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
As with a lot of clubs, players leaving the area and distractions from university, work, families etc really seems to have hit the club hard. I think its reputation works both for and against the club. A long way to go, still fancy Todmorden to win the League, but nice to get off to a good start! -

Tugay- best rovers midfield ever
rog of the rovers replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
As good a player as he was (and he was one of Rovers' all time best) his substitution routine was pure genius. Step 1 - Glance over to bench to get inkling he was coming off Step 2 - Decide to try something outrageous or overly skillful as a parting gift Step 3 - Drift over to the Riverside Stand Step 4 - Look at the fans in the Riverside as the board went up. Step 5 - Ignore the board Step 6 - Wait for prompting or the stadium announcer to call out ''Number 5......Tugay'' Step 7 - Look suprised Step 8 - Remove shinpads Step 9 - Loosen Socks Step 10 - Tuck shinpads into shorts Step 11 - Applaud the Riverside Stand Step 12 - Start the walk off Step 13 - Applaud the Darwen End Step 14 - Wait for the referee to come and tell you to hurry up Step 15 - Shake hands with the referee, tell him what a wonderful job he's doing/done Step 16 - Brisk walk or lazy jog for ten paces Step 17 - Applaud the Blackburn End Step 18 - Wait for ''Tugay you are my Turkish delight'' Step 19 - Kiss or pat badge on shirt Step 20 - Shake hands with the left back/left winger Step 21 - Shake hands with opposition right back as they come to tell you to hurry up Step 22 - Applaud Jack Walker Stand Step 23 - Final curtain call to all four sides Step 24 - Affectionate handshake and/or hug with player coming on Step 25 - Shake hands with manager Step 26 - Shake hands with all the coaching staff Step 27 - High Fives to fans sitting near the Rovers dugout Step 28 - High Five to fellow subs Step 29 - Final Wave Step 30 - Finally Sit Down- 91 replies

I got on 4/1 at Paddy Power. Only a tenner, but felt it was a sound bet. Setting up an account and spending £10 gave me £30 in free bets. Put £10 (of the free bet cash) on Danny Graham to finish Top Goalscorer in the Championship (e/w) so basically to finish top 4. at 50/1 Currently 6th with 11 goals. -

To be fair to Alan Fettis, he was 3rd choice, only played because Flowers and Filan got injured. It would be like judging Andrew Fisher in goal for us, in the Premier League! Goalkeepers, ONLY REGULARS list (1992-present) 1. Friedel 2. Filan 3. Flowers 4. Robinson 5. Mimms 6. Steele 7. Kean Others (in no order) - Brown, Eastwood, Fettis, Sandomierski, Raya, Kelly, Enckleman, Bunn
