Rothwell and Nyambe next out the door - contracts on table but unsigned. Then next season - those with a squishy stomach shouldn't be looking at who we're probably gonna lose.
If true that our owners vetoed a 2m deal with Sheff Utd for Rothwell then he'll be here until he leaves on a free next summer
-
Good luck to him - been a good pro for us and done the hard work to get the chance. Think the "non-contact" route the game is taking will suit him but will probably have to bulk up a bit as well (easier to do with a premier league physio setup).

BBC reporting the deal could be worth more than £20m with add-ons
Probably if Southampton win the champions league after Armstrong scores a hattrick in his 100th game for England...
Think 9m up front and 6m in add-ons is likely to be closer to the mark 😟

Elliot got 11 assists and 4 goals he deserved his place in the team, Mowbray benched him for a few games when his standards dropped.
Harwood Bellis didn't go straight into the 11 he had to wait until a position opened up through injury but once in he looked the best defender at the club
Trybull the experienced player was rubbish
Think whoever is the liason is also key. I can imagine us paying a bit more to not be forced into "every game" but agree to discuss the player with the liason before dropping them. In some cases this will be seen as part of the education - why would Liv/City want players that aren't used to being dropped if their standards slip?

Shelby was as clueless as the owners, he didn't half talk some drivel. It's all about the big man little man up top, you have a big man little man and you score goals. That's a quote by the way...
Will Never forget the King Georges Hall meeting 🤣🙈🤡

It's really good to start with a deserved win with lots of pleasing aspects to admire. No disrespect to any Rovers players but Armstrong would have had a hat trick today and that is what I believe will bite us on the backside over the course of the season. The pressing game won it for us today as Swansea were over playing in the wrong areas time and time again. The work rate was good today as was the intensity with which we played.
As I said a win is a win but Mowbray worries me enormously. His changes resulted in players moving about and we lost some momentum with this disruption. It's simple for me, if you are comfortable in the game just go like for like and maintain the control you have by keeping the same system. In my book Mowbray handed the initiative to Swansea who could have stolen a point they didn't look like getting.
Fair points but i thought bringing on Davenport was the right choice as Swansea had control of the midfield after their goal. Still wonder if it was planned "like for not quite like" swap with Buckley that was planned but got abandoned and,as you rightly point out, the changes caused a little confusion and loss of momentum.
Thought we got it back with Butterworth and i sort of agree with the decision to bring on an extra defender and with 8 minutes left as we were counter-attacking well.

Anyone know if Davenport was getting ready to come on before Gallagher pulled up? Have a theory that he was probably coming on for Buckley prior to that
-
Shout out to Kaminski for crucial saves. Brereton-Diaz for having the balls and nerve to score the penalty.

Good result. Good subs (even if Buckley up top for a while was odd) and good that we kept going forward.
Swansea were suicidal though

Gallagher shoots when others were better positioned. Possible cramp too?
Now subbed with Davenport

I mean he's never a #9. He provides nice energy out there, but he should never be leading the line at this level.
Tbh he has done it well

The other one is a bit misshapen.
(Almost went with, the other is at the Albert Hall but didn't think an implied Hitler comparison was fair)

Can someone kidnap our manager and coaches and just have someone tell the players to "same again second half" in the dressing room

Is Gallagher playing wide right then?
He is but not hugging touchline and quick to move central so not like last season

Tbh i don't think either of them can play the pressing game as well as AA - which means Dolan will be put there.
Obefami sounds perfect "as a player" and IF he wants to get a good move in 2 years time then we are a good bet for him to show what he can do.
Also suspect BB will move abroad in january for naff all.
