Away goals being scrapped in UEFA competitions according to BBC (amongst others) 😥
Could it be linked to certain "big clubs" having been knocked out through this rule in recent seasons... 🤔

“commercially, this is an excellent deal for the club”
Translation: we’ll buy them cheaper and sell them for more.
Wonder if they’ll ever do anything that is “excellent for fans “.
Tinfoil hat on: It could be that the terms don't change regardless of which division/league we are in. Commercially that would be an excellent deal if relegation is on the radar....

That was last season
Stagnation not evolution is this seasons mantra
Stagnation suggests standing still - retardation would be my bet (fits on various levels 😁)

I could believe:
"We'll let you off this season due to it's one off nature but next season when the schedule is back to normal and there are no extenuating circumstances we expect a genuine challenge for the top 6".
I don't believe:
"Because you completely messed up last season we'll write off the coming one as well."
I think Sharpe is making stuff up to fit the ludicrous narrative Mowbray has been peddling in recent weeks.
The next few weeks will tell I suppose. If you're right it doesn't bear thinking about.
I believe that "we did our best to compete but the giants outspent us so there is no point trying anymore"...
Reference parachute payments and big city clubs and job done. They haven't failed miserably - they were up against impossible odds 🤬

Makes the job easier for the staff down there the less people turn up. Still get paid and can always blame Covid if the owners take any interest.
Another cost saving to be presented in isolation - "we've cut matchday expenses again" sounds great 🧐

Without lockdown there would have been a degree of "excitement" about showing TM (and others) how we felt.
Purely football wise i think the wins actually made it worse as it shattered the illusion that there would be change.

Because at Rovers they choose managers over fans.
The CEO then divides the planned season ticket income by the number of projected fans.
Instead of trying to grow the fanbase…
”We’ve done all we can “.
Spot on.
"Increased revenue per customer" sounds great whilst "Increased profit per customer action" is the holy grail...

Agree with all of the above. A good idea in principle but bland, poorly written, largely irrelevant to Rovers specific situation, lacking any overall point and failing to offer any solutions.
It needed doing but far far better than that.
That said, if it does enable you to get an audience with the owners, I take all the above back and issue my humble apologies.

It made me think of Life Of Brian...

I thought that as well, almost as though the paper are deliberately running with a fairly bland and toothless commentary on the last ten years and one which almost completely ignores the current issues on purpose.
It gives the current crew a free pass - sound familiar 🤔

BUT ... this is what he said ''I hope the supporters understand where the football club is in the history of the football club at this moment. It isn’t Blackburn Rovers of 1995 competing and fighting at the top of the Premier League.''
So he's calling us thick or living in the past or both.
Not good whichever way it's cut from a manager to the fans.
We all know it isn't 1995.
And this comes from a dickhead who claimed not to know who our local rivals were.
I now officially dislike the twat more than Kean.
Having bought into his integrity and honest football bloke in the beginning it is actually frightening to realize what an absolute twohat the guy is...
Makes me re-evaluate all my assessments of business associates 🙈

Just remember that it required Paul Senior to get rid of Coyle and Shebby to "get rid" of K#@$ and you understand that TM isn't going away any time soon 😥

All about framing his discussions with the owners in the summer. Move it away from any talk of promotion and move it towards ‘development’ (though not sure who’s ‘developed’, so that’s another failing, surely?)
Totally transparent but it will probably do the job in his Pune meeting.
TM - just think what SG and BB will be worth considering how AA and BDs values increased.
Venkys - wow, contract extension Mr Mowbray.

The original reason was for Venkys to increase their corporate image and brands globally.
I suspect the updated reason is to give Balaji's son something to play with at a later date.
Would selling us mean that 150 millions would evaporate from their balance sheet?

Completely agree - and it's happening again now as far as I can see, but is that not almost the definition of "naivety"?
That they did it once is naive. That they keep repeating the same mistakes is insanity 🤔
As to why they don't learn - i can only assume they have had positive experiences in their other businesses/ventures.

Another barrel load of garbage from him. Bemoaning the fact that sides sit deep against us, Cardiff did it in the 4th game of the season we didn't have an answer then and 30+ games on we still don't. Instead of moaning about it come up with some fresh ideas instead of doing the same things game after game and getting the same results. As for saying that Gallagher 'isn’t someone who historically has scored goals from crosses'. Well it's quite difficult for him to when he is the one putting the crosses in tonight for example we had the 6ft 3 Gallagher putting in crosses for the 5ft 5 Dolan. But Gallagher showed under Coyle that if played central he can score goals from crosses.

Reading that article makes me think we will end up signing another striker in the summer 🤣

So Ewood pitch is in shocking condition - perfect opportunity to move a youth cup tie and play it there 🤔🤡

The thing that fascinates me the most is BB's total inability to shoot. Even bog awful midielders/defenders can manage to hit a ball properly once in a while but, with the risk of being the old chauvinist that i suspect i am, he shoots like a girl 😳

Let's not pretend this is down to the officiating. The gulf between the 2 sides is embarrassing, like watching Man City v a League 2 side.
I would go further - a league 2 side would at least stand up to them physically. We look quite literally like schoolboys playing against men

Do they win the league or is there some form of "finals" for top 4/8?? (Genuine question as most US Sports seem to have playoffs)
