  1. I've lived all over South London, I've even ventured into Peckham, nowhere is as appalling as Burnley. OK champ.. you also thought "pal" was abusive.
  2. You work in Burnley. Fair enough. What would you be happy paying?
  3. A week in South London and you'd be a dribbling mess if you find "pal" ignorant and abusive Stats would suggest he's a decent keeper and you really think £4m is over priced in today's market?
  4. Unfortunately it's never that simple, though I admire the sentiment.
  5. Welcome Bradley, feed Sir Bradley and we'll be on to something
  6. Nailed it. Setup is completely wrong. If we do it'll be by sheer luck rather than proper planning. If I only could inherit Daddy's chicken business and waste £m's on a pet project with no care how it effects 1'000s of people's lives. Pr8cks.
  7. I like that you're moaning about the moaning, brilliantly sardonic. It does indeed look like Raya is getting the blame for last season's woes at the back, we should've known that really given the fact he was dropped for the last four games. Who’s not to say that Williams improvement towards the end of the season was more to do with having Leutiwiler in goal as well as his move into the middle. Like you I think Raya is very replaceable, however we're desperately in need to a commanding centre half as well in my opinion, I wouldn’t be confident of getting anywhere near the top 6 with Mulgrew and Williams being the two to choose from partnering Darragh every week.
  8. It's becoming clear that this is Mowbray's way of thinking. Not sure if I'm on board with it or not in truth. Saying that I actually wouldn't be too upset if Raya left and we got a more commanding keeper in to replace him. He's a great shot stopper but I don't think he inspires confidence from his defence.
  9. The man's getting interviewed everyday by the Lancashire telegraph, he's going to come out with some crap as he'll run out of things to say. Personally I'll judge at the end of the window whether he's done well or not.
  10. If he doesn't strengthen our defence by the end of the window I will be seriously concerned to be fair.
  11. Harsh. I don't think he's the man to take us up but I wouldn't call him an idiot. Perhaps give yourself a break and judge whether we're going to improve the defence at the end of the window not with 5 weeks remaining. Jumping on every little tit bit in the media that doesn't read how you want it to will ruin your summer.
  12. True, but that wasn't in the middle of the summer transfer window. I'm actually not a huge Mowbray fan and my comment was more in hope than expectation to tell you the truth.
  13. Or he's not putting our desperation for defenders out in the media so we don't get held to ransom when bidding for players in that area.
  14. So do I. Though it's clearly been in the media, and therefore doesn't count as the potential defender I'm referring to, would you put Hanley in the category of "better than Mulgrew"?
  15. Who says he isn't? What if talks with an unknown player aren't being played out in the media?
  16. "sure, it's a mess of their own making" read like you were glossing over it to me. All bright and breasy; "sure, Michael Jackson was weird with kids but he had some amazing tracks"
  17. Factual yes, but you gloss over the key fact; it's entirely of their own making. In my view they should spend their own money on the club and feel some pain doing it given what they've done to us.
  18. Funny isn't it I'd have him back in a heartbeat, odd how opinions differ so wildly within a group of people all wanting the same thing.
  19. Given the fact that Downing played 40 times for a top 6 team last year I'd absolutely take him as a direct replacement for Conway. Not a bad bit of business to start the window if it happens.
  20. I'd would have loved to hear Tony's explanation of that 'blip'.
  21. A sad indictment of Blackburn Rovers in 2019; that we can only dream of getting a player like Jacob Murphy.
  22. This is another thing Venkys have ruined; I've genuinely had nowhere near as much concern about Rovers goalkeepers in my lifetime until they turned up. Started properly following in 1992... ?
