  1. Personally choosing to believe that Mowbray will be gone in a few weeks (delayed by Covid concerns in India pushing Rovers down Venkys priority list) and a new manager is waiting for the mutual consent announcement to spring into action. Hopefully one of Wilder, Howe or Ainsworth, but would equally love a proper back to basics dinosaur like Hughesy (as long as it ain't bloody Pulis).
  2. You’ve got me thinking here. What if the plan had been exactly as envisioned BUT with the purchase of land from the neighbouring Brockhall Farm to enable a bigger single complex that didn’t downsize the total facilities? Now I’ve said it, I’m amazed it wasn’t the plan.
  3. Agreed. Personally view any and all efforts to improve the club in a positive way and support them all. That includes the protests over the last decade, the Trust marketing prospectus, the open letters, the ACV efforts, the effort to stop Brockhall being downgraded, the idea to expand bus routes etc. How anyone can not support some of these purely because of errant commas utterly baffles me. Doing something, however small, in the first place takes more intestinal fortitude than dismissing something relatively concrete over some bloody grammar (and I say that as a former teacher married to a teacher).
  4. 'My team'. I like this side of you. Phwoar 🥰
  5. No, we're not stopping free speech. For a start, we're not the USA, we have freedom of expression. Your post was removed for calling someone a 'bloody muppet'. You'll notice that the post quoted here has remained, and it doesn't contain a pointless antagonistic insult. Consider the link between those things. Thank you for coming to my ModTalk.
  6. Odds on for Head of Recruitment for no reason whatsoever...
  7. Coyle deffo tried to pull wool over our eyes somewhat re: SEM, but I never felt he tried to actively and deliberately disrespect the club in the same way Mowbray has. 'Shrearer and Sutton aren't here anymore' ffs. Coyle was just a crap manager and a liar. Mowbray is a crap manager, a liar, and willing to put us down as a club. In fact the only managers post-Sam to respect Rovers to any real degree are Bowyer and Berg.
  8. Yeah because we should be feeling really positive after the season we've just endured...
  9. Be careful! Mowbray may interpret that as naming a stand after him.
  10. Sound logic, but then again Venkys whole thing was chickens before us 😕
  11. How did Armstrong get Junuor POTY at age 24?
  12. Hearing rumblings from people who don't know each other that a 'Coventrio Out' protest is happening outside the ground before/during the game?
  13. Waggott, if you appoint a Hughes/Davidson/Ainsworth type of manager, then release ST prices based on the year the people of Blackburn have had (one of the worst affected areas in the country by Covid), say £300 in JW Upper, £250 anywhere else, you'll guarantee 15k+ fans every game (plus associated monies from shop, bets, pies, pints). And get rid of your bloody surcharge, you're looking at closer to 20k (more with on-pitch success) per game. It's not rocket science dude.
  14. Re: Line of Duty, I was personally hoping for something like this: Exactly the show that we got, but after the 'explanations' at the end we get one extra scene We see a message typed on a laptop, camera pans round as the laptop is closed, so we don't see who typed it. They walk out of the room facing away from us, and shut the door. On the back of the door hangs an unused walking cane. Cut to black.
  15. Having rewatched, it's a better ending than I thought last night. Lots of loose ends tied up, and at least the ending makes sense. Makes sense treating the Fourth Man literally (they were all 'caddies') without a specific 'Big Bad' leading. Plus, a nice nod to the idea that oftentimes 'evil' is just incompetence not being challenged early enough.
  16. I mean... 🤷‍♂️ The fuck, Jed?
  17. That's got to be an early contender for post of the decade. Concise and dripping with satiric self-awareness, of course. 10/10
  18. I'm tempted to shit in a bag myself and hang it in random people's gardens. Why not? Welcome to the Freudian nightmare in my head 🤣
  19. I'd hardly say den is a yesteryear poster 😜
  20. I haven't what? You said something about outmuscling men when 15 (Probably only Ronney ever did that), but Annesley is 20 and therefore a man. Just an odd way to phrase it imo.
  21. Don't have to imagine it, Burnley are doing it.
  22. Annesley is 6ft+ and 20 years old, he SHIULD be outmuscling players.
