I'd love to make a jokey remark about being an unlucky mascot at my first game this season. Honestly though, that was dreadful. Once we get past midfield we get lost. I thought Gally should've stayed on, with Armstrong coming off instead, personally. Would also start Rothwell in his place ASAP.

I had, actually. Ooops. Bloody Millennial.

At least we weren't being bombed in the 70s.

Don't get me wrong, supermarkets will likely still exist, but will probably function more like department stores as attractions like the Trafford Centre, with smaller 'Little Waitrose'/'Tesco Metro'- type shops being more common. Just my view on it, I don't think my generation cares too much about emotional attachment to food.

Excuse me?

John Lewis Partnership making a half-year loss for the first time ever shows the strain its 'Never Knowingly Undersold' policy is putting on it. It's now relying on a good second half (usually where it makes more profit anyway), but in the midst of Brexit and the continued success of 'Black Friday' promotions, I worry for the Partnership. Waitrose is still going strong, but I believe the future of the grocery market will be in E-Commerce and delivery, with supermarkets becoming less important.

Just hope people haven't spent the weekend screaming in anger at frontline TC employees who could be unemployed tomorrow

Is there such a thing as unrealised potential at 29yo?

I feel like this is moving us into 343 (or 3421) territory, which sounds exciting but MUST be done correctly. I'm thinking: Walton Lenihan Tosin Williams Bennett Travis Johnson Cunningham Holtby Dack Gallagher Solid back 3, Bennett and Cunningham as wing backs rather than full backs (also allows for the pace of Nyambe and Bell later in games). Travis and Johnson to act as the complete engine room, harassing in midfield. Gally as the focal point if attack (targetman) with Holtby and Dack roaming behind. IF that is the plan, I think it can work well BUT will require defensive reinforcement in January imo.

He almost has a very 'northern' kind of attitude. Head down, work hard, have a laugh, loves his Nana.

Had a go, based on that: His name is Lewis Holtby, and he's number 22, I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough, He signed for Blackburn Rovers, the mighty white and blues, I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough, He scores a goal and the Rovers go wild, and I just can't seem to get enough of doo doo doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo doo, LEWIS HOLTBY! repeat!

Probably because he's a 'sexy foreigner', even though he's got a very English name.

Any golfing BRFCSers fancy a round? I'd be interested to meet some of you over a round and a pint (even if we disagree a lot on here). I'm free every Friday and every other wknd, so reasonably easy to get hold of for some holes. Handicap of 16, mostly play to about 90. Live in Darwen, will drive to any club in Lancs happily. PM me, or just reply on here, and let's see if we can get some rounds in. Nowt better than the Sport of Kings!

Production of a 9-month old start-up that's officially done 4 shows and only pushes 45mins-1hr of YouTube each week, versus a decades old $bn company that pushes a minimum of 6hours content every week? Ofc they're gunna be a little shaky, but only to the tune of a couple of camera cuts and one name banner error. Janela, Havoc, Stunt, and Cassidy deserve more credit than give imo. Certainly Omega and the Young Bucks are among the world's finest, calling them spot monkeys gives me the impression you haven't watched much of them pre-AEW. You'd know they are anything but that. Missed out Moxley (admittedly not on All Out), and Excalibur rapidly becoming a superb commentator. Agreed on the rest, to a degree, but the 'inside jokes' are generally related to modern pop/gaming culture. If one were to follow their YouTube channels, it'd be easier to go along with (after all that's their equivalent to TV until next next month). If you just watch their wrestling shows as standalone shows without following their week-to-week YouTube, I understand how you'd conclude what you have though. I think when they find their feet on TV they'll basically be the US answer to NJPW. They definitely need to change the rhythm of matches though. The odd 3-min match is ok instead of every match going 15mins plus. I doubt they're looking to 'threaten' WWE, they just want to be another wrestling show. WWE must feel threatened though, putting their best show up against it on a Wednesday.

Ditto my dad. One of his favourite ever Rovers.

How did it go? -
I always thought it was given as interest free loans. Maybe I've misread something.

Shows how important it is Rovers Trust are around to hopefully help as a relative safety net should it happen to us. -
That doesn't contradict BRFC oweing VLL £120m...

First choice back 4 and fluid, exciting attacking 4. Keeper and engine room leave a lot to be desired. -
Only watched the last 10mins (got in from work), and I'm wondering what we've put in Williams' Readybrek. Absolutely dominant at the back.
