It looked to be the refs own decision to check with VAR at the request of the players imo. At least he still got it right but it looked like he bowed to player pressure.

Rankin-Costello wont necessarily give a glowing report of Rovers without having had his own chance beyond the reserves yet. Then again our record of using academy players in general is quite good (even if it's a result of relegation) ? Lowe and Hanley in recent years, plus Nyambe and Lenihan for the last 2 seasons.

No, I may have misread him, but I was refuting the idea that we can only try to purchase players PROVEN at Champ or PL levels.

At what point has anyone who wasn't you suggested it was beneath him? Most seem to be saying he's either doing something else away from football, or trying his hand at management further down the leagues.
