  1. Ah yes, probably. Definitely made the correct decision and as you say a clear explanation. Still reckon refs should be mic'd up to stadium tannoys, personally. Would alli fans to hear discussion and would also help catch out players being disrespectful (and enable appropriate sanctions, even if retrospective). What would you think of that?
  2. It looked to be the refs own decision to check with VAR at the request of the players imo. At least he still got it right but it looked like he bowed to player pressure.
  3. Ask when it comes round, probably won't be til around Christmas. I'd have thought a quick email would get you an answer by next week though.
  4. Bit late, it was last week. Try emailing Waggott yourself.
  5. For the football: None of them. For the romance: Iceland (fave holiday place) or Nigeria (keep Africa involved).
  6. Personally, Iceland.
  7. That's a fault of VAR, should be simply that the ref goes about his job as if without it and can be overruled by VAR.
  8. To a degree but the concept of 'the auld enemy' suits England for some reason. And in fairness, if you do talk to Irish about the troubles it can get very heated very quickly.
  9. I'm pretty sure warfare in the Falklands are behind it... much the same as in the war vs Germany.
  10. Sounds like it was written by Family Guy!
  11. I wasn't comparing the players, but just saying that if R-C hasn't had his chance, he may not believe Davenport would get his chance either. Particularly given you've just named 5 players he'd be in competition with.
  12. Rankin-Costello wont necessarily give a glowing report of Rovers without having had his own chance beyond the reserves yet. Then again our record of using academy players in general is quite good (even if it's a result of relegation) ? Lowe and Hanley in recent years, plus Nyambe and Lenihan for the last 2 seasons.
  13. At least he doesn't bother curtsying! Whereas May looks like she's dropped her keys and shat herself at the same time!
  14. If we didn't 'accept it' we'd still be a league lower than the bastards.
  15. How Maguire didn't lamp him I don't know. All in one minute he was forearmed, poked, and headbutted in the face. If we've learned to stay calm, it stands us in good stead. Also noticed Kane was smacked in the back of the head while being full-nelsoned for the penalty.
  16. Absolutely. Costa Del Darwen!
  17. Sublime from Lingard.
  18. Nothing to do with who says it mate. Tom just gave a bit more explanation as to why and it made a bit more sense to me. Tbh my 'Fair enough.' was much more in disagreement than agreement Personally, whether he thinks it's beneath him or not doesn't really matter. Fact is he's been part of a good thing for Rovers yet again. If he wants to test himself in other ways, fine by me.
  19. I don't understand the injury-prone remarks. He's played 80-odd times in 2 seasons at Oxford. That's not 'injury-prone'.
  20. Fair enough. As you say good luck to him
  21. No, I may have misread him, but I was refuting the idea that we can only try to purchase players PROVEN at Champ or PL levels.
  22. At what point has anyone who wasn't you suggested it was beneath him? Most seem to be saying he's either doing something else away from football, or trying his hand at management further down the leagues.
  23. Sorry, but you're talking as if we're loaded or playing Football Manager on a laptop. The only 'PL player' we MIGHT get is Armstrong.
  24. He gets me biting, dunno why I bother.
