  1. I think we're hoping Ten Haag can start to get a tune out of Rashford on England's behalf.
  2. By going with opt-in, we can ensure no complaints about the content. Hence 'We did warn you'
  3. I love his initial comments, such a refreshing change from Mowbray's BS. None of this 'it's not 1995' or 'The SAS aren't here anymore'. It's much more 'Rovers are a big club and we can go places'
  4. I'm glad 'performance director' has a fitness focus. Hopefully see some changes to the seeming conveyor belt of minor muscle injuries.
  5. Dingle FIL says there are complications to his work permit because he is also applying for citizenship (lived here for years and married to a Manc).
  6. His first game was at home to Stoke, a 3-0 win. Impossible not to enjoy after Ince!
  7. Gunna throw some more names out there for no reason whatsoever. 'Up and coming' types: Iraoli, McVay, Amorim, Djonlic, Jaissle.
  8. I was in the same meeting and I can assure you it was the guy's own opinion, having only been appointed last year. He was insistent that kids don't want to be at Ewood because 'I'm a Hull fan and my lad supports Arsenal because someone he watches on YouTube supports Arsenal'. With his many MANY (as he was so keen to harp on about) 'football marketing qualifications' he assured us he was right. I assured him that that not one single senior figure before him had any such qualifications and they ALL understood football fans and the town of Blackburn better than him.
  9. Tying together everything, this is what I think has happened: I reckon it was narrowed down to three managers (probably Warne, Ferguson, Ainsworth), ready for Steve Walsh (preferred DOF) to choose from. Broughton is only very recently out of work, and (I'm told) was 'approached as soon as available' AHEAD OF Walsh - possibly cold feet considering his Everton fiasco? I'm told 'his connections have opened more options' this week, which makes sense to me as to why Deila and JDT were suddenly in the picture, and possibly why it's taken us this long. I personally think it'll be JDT now, but it wouldn't surprise me if the likes of Solksjaer, Bohinen, or even Sven had been approached.
  10. Which is usually due to the combination of a number of contributory factors that lead to the craft being fatally compromised...
  11. I'm happy with JDT just because it's different to everything we've tried before. And it's a certain step up, as he's actually WON things as a manager.
  12. Best thing we could do is get rid of Greg 'but we've already tried that' Coar. No, we HAVEN'T already tried a damned thing if you're half-arsing it at every step.
  13. Chaddy mentioned him about a month ago. I'm not taking the piss, he genuinely did, and I said at the time it's the kind of left field appt that could really work.
  14. And how do you think the LET could drive circulation? Holding the club to account, including when not given answers? Or limply repeating 3day-old rumours from the internet? If Sharpe's input was actually interesting, I'd buy the paper or subscribe. As it is we get better info on here than we get from Sharpe.
  15. It literally IS the job of any journalist to hold to account the people on whom they report.
  16. Why? Every one is a step up from every manager we've had so far when they joined (Lambert aside).
  17. Played the round of my life yesterday, my first round at Pleasington GC! Stroke index 17.6, so standard handicap of 18. Course index meant I played a 21 handicap (so the course played difficult). Scored 87 gross, for a net 66! 5 under par!
