  1. They got him on the cheap because Mowbray fell out with him. You obviously remember that.
  2. Article dated 18/05/19, about Brentford's first enquiry (let alone bid). https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7044663/amp/Brentford-chase-Blackburn-goalkeeper-David-Raya.html Barcelona-born Raya, 23, has been Blackburn's regular number one for the past two seasons. However, he was dropped in April after a dip in form and Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray is looking to add a new keeper himself.
  3. I'm genuinely glad at expectations being dumbed down. It's a relief after the 'Golden Generation' kept ballsing up, meanwhile Southgate's team keeps blowing tournament expectations out the water.
  4. It was everything to do with being dropped and publicly called out by Mowbray. All this, while stuck on £1k/week when he was (and clearly is) worth so much more. You're naive if you think otherwise.
  5. Comparing the prices of premium, crème de la crème events to Rovers prices just proves we should be charging about £20 per game.
  6. Still less inclined on a Sunday than a Saturday imo. And early kick off shaves another 2.5hrs off. I just hope neither set of fans embarrasses themselves on Remembrance Sunday 😕
  7. Less drinking time, but tbh if you're that way minded you'll find a way to get pissed anyway.
  8. Worth noting that lowered expectations at the most recent tournaments have yielded our most successful tournaments since 1966.
  9. Can we please please please beg Waggott to make Forest at home (a free hit in terms of money) a well-priced game in the lead-up to Christmas? Do something creative like: £15 all areas, £10 concessions and juniors. ST-holders and 1875 members - £10 and £5. If you buy a PNE game ticket, you also get the cup game at the reduced rate.
  10. That Southgate hasn't picked Smalling or Tomori is a poor decision. Both deserved to go, and certainly ahead of Dier and Maguire.
  11. Lots of really basic but obvious changes going on with HHH. Chiefly: 1. Fewer gimmick-based PPVs: Money In The Bank returning to Wrestlemania, and Hell-In-A-Cell being reserved for the biggest feuds as/when required (instead of contriving to fit a plotline every year). 2. Returning the King of the Ring tournament to PPV status. I hope he also follows up by returning the old school Survivor Series 5v5 format to legit feuds rather than brand-vs-brand.
  12. How dare you accuse us of a sense of humour! We're a bunch of humourless robots!
  13. 'Legal tender' applies to aettling a debt, not purchases.
  14. Even with our work sweepstake, we've foregone prizes to donate to BIHR.
  15. Did everyone get out unscathed? Hearing from a pal that West Ham pricks pelted Rovers fans with coins and objects, and medical intervention was needed for a few.
  16. I remember you fancied him for our job before JDT, as did I, and reckon he's definitely a PL quality manager.
  17. In fairness, the traffic during the game will keep this thread high up the page.
  18. Swapped Brittain out for Batty. Save Callum for Sunday.
  19. Kaminski Ayala Hyam S.Wharton Brittain Pickering Travis Morton Hedges Gallagher Brereton-Diaz Desperately want A.Wharton in there 😭 but just feel Hedges has the edge atmo.
  20. And we've just won 6 on the trot.
  21. I always go back to the team that Hughes built, where every player was a metaphorical captain, and most were actually international captains.
  22. 4231 by looks. Happy with that.
