  1. Play the lad up front. Fuck Armstrong. Barcelona bound 😆
  2. The fact you refer to the mainstays as “the mandalorian” basically made me a chile Fan… (nothing to do with our lacklustre display)..!
  3. When you pay for a season ticket - you’re also ensuring local employment in the ground - something to consider before seeing it as a simple vote for “Venky’s out” or whatever other anti ownership motive you’ve got. Im talking about the key times to complain - rightly if you spent all game shouting Venkys out next to me you’d get told to shut up. Without a season ticket or being in the stadium though, you miss the flash points and opportunity to voice your concerns (where I get the cathartic comments out as opposed to sticking them here) End of the day your decision - but I would add that it’s my opinion; the likes of those bothered about the conscience will be back if the team does well. A big if, but still!
  4. Is that an average or cheapest and most expensive?
  5. Yea - moaning on the internet seems to be the most important aspect in reflection 😆
  6. Then share your opinion in the stadium. You might have a point about “the best thing for the club long term” but then you may also be simply cutting off your nose to spite the face. There’s more too being a rovers (or any football/rugby or sport) season ticket holder than simply turning up and achieving all our expectations.
  7. Most including us? I don’t see a significant rise since pre covid for us? Granted there is no discount and individual ticket prices have gone up again - but a “substantial” rise?
  8. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/championship-season-tickets-cheapest-expensive-24279478 Id say most are similar to us, a few marginally cheaper and a couple above.
  9. Good post for some element of balance. When you factor in potential for further restrictions, notably on away support being allowed into the ground - It must be a scary prospect for clubs with 100%+ wages over turnover.
  10. Chalk and cheese. A game 10+ years ago, guaranteed to sellout 7k away fans at whatever price…! I share some concern that the prices are +30 but what I’d call “fair” in 2006 is quite a bit different to now! Who’s fault that is, another issue entirely!
  11. Even if it’s 5 players - we could’ve signed a new left and goalkeeper and striker with the Brererton cash, then another centreback and a whatever else for the Gally cash. I personally think they probably tried to do this but when targets fell away they did the Hyndburn council February/March roadworks trick and spent all their budget so it doesn’t get cut the year after…! One issue TM and the team can’t deny - it would be a hell of a lot easier to attract better players if we finished higher up the league.
  12. Just spat coffee everywhere 😆
  13. Touché - I should’ve said in ages. Don’t think Edinho Junior made the brazil team…!
  14. Over think it? Referring to the actual player we where talking about might be a start Kenny - was on about Brereton? Imagine you’re own reasons to disagree me with if that’s your flex bro.
  15. Absolutely perfect examples of what the wider thought process will be - I personally fall into the first persons mindset but would add that a large portion of my rationale for regular support is what I get out of it without even considering the actual match.
  16. The skepticism is palpable 😆 End of the day - it’s a silver lining amongst clouds. I just can’t see reason to moan about it - but perhaps that’s my perennial issue with the “pixels” on this . Com.
  17. No I genuinely feel I understand why they’d want a 22 year old with different attributes involved - as opposed to “milking” it as if we’ve nowt better to do.
  18. Dear me - what do you want us to do, all shake our heads and say “it’s only because they’re desperate”… Honestly - the way any amount of enjoyment is jumped on these days by the mainstay of posters. It’s as if we’re not allowed to be interested in the first rovers player involved in copa.
  19. Only ever hear that phrase here…! Which reminds me of a certain poster suggesting “the fans” working against the “know summats” are somewhat culpable for the scenario we face. In my opinion - pure cathartic “rubbish”
  20. If only - I think sometimes that’s the issue with BRFCS, expectations are a little bit out of align with reality. We’re miles behind with wages - so it’s never going to be first choice every time
  21. I accept that notion - possibly the biggest issue TM and his team have caused, for the Kaminski, Dack and the AA bargains, we could’ve bought 10 players for both Gally and Breregol and made more impact on our whole team immediately. Easy in hindsight however, and I don’t think the tactics always being 1 central player has helped. If he’s sold for 10m though, it’s money going back into the club at least. If he’s walking for free next year, it would be a scandal.
  22. Very good post - I’d add the lack of creative communications from the current setup above the manager, and I can’t see that changing without a complete change of direction from those at the very top (the Rao’s). In terms of “propping up a regime” I wouldn’t call renewal an example of this personally. To me it’s not a thumbs up, or a pledge of support to that specific aspect of the current club. Id argue it’s more difficult to make your feelings known about the current state of play without being in the stadium - this potentially the reason why TM has survived last season. Along with that, a myriad of reasons why I’d want to go regularly when possible again - and the thought of a home game to open the season up on the 7th of August, Sunny day, pint in the WMC, and a live match in the stadium - can’t wait whatever happens.
  23. Based on last season he should’ve been sacked. At a well run club he would’ve been disposed of in March/April.
  24. I personally wouldn’t attribute all current issues and all future expectations being met by changing the manager. I also wouldn’t use that as a reason not to renew or contribute to the club by attendance or spending. Its really that simple.
