I agree it’s frustrating but we needed depth in attack behind Graham and there is no magic wand with transfers. Considering Murphy, Best and Etuhu probably cost us twice that, I more hopeful BB and SG may eventually find some form and pay some of it back.

Opinions are excuses to those who haven’t the humility to accept they aren’t always right. As I said, he should’ve done better - Raya looked a far better keeper when he left than the one who started originally for us, but that doesn’t mean he was infallible - you seemingly ignore all grey areas for extremes, but I guess that’s common if you’re just looking to disagree. Nyambe has had so much time our injured too, but don’t let that get in the way of blaming TM for him not getting better. (Even if he has visibly got physically and technically better, now a full international too....) As for Travis; He deserves key credit but some of the ridiculous views on here suggest TMs took him backwards.... by making him part of his team. Unreal abject negative bias.

You know what also springs to mind? All three would likely be rewarded more than double their current terms if they put the club back in the prem. So why hold us back for their own gain? Strikes me as paranoid and ridiculous but am I surprised?

I can acknowledge we should be doing better, but you cannot seem to acknowledge that every player hasn’t gone backwards. Its like Christmas dinner with one of the “alternative facts” brigade...

I think the the simple stat that Bell and Rothwell are a level above from their previous clubs points to improvement but also might spell out why both are somewhat ineffectual in this league over consistent spells. Travis, Nyambe, Lenihan and Raya (before he left) all better under TM than Coyle for me but not difficult since one hardly feautured and another only came through under TM Buckley looks at home at times but perhaps naive and under strength at others but his chance had come under TM and, if he becomes another mainstay like Travis in time - it’s Buckley who deserves the key credit, TM, Johnson and co after that. My point was more that the team has come forwards under Mowbray but perhaps not to where he and we expected / wanted.

Phil Jones on loan? I mean I don’t mean to be dismissive or nasty, I’m sure someone else can explain why me turning out for rovers is more likely! As for Alan Judge.... I mean I agree with the skeptical outlook that suggest we surely have to cast the net wider than a third time lucky injury prone winger? Perhaps any investment in attacking players should be welcomed at this point - at least Alan can cross a ball..!

Raya, Nyambe (particularly this season), Lenihan, Williams, Bell, (even if only by a small amount) Evans, Travis, Buckley, Rothwell, Armstrong, and of course Dack who’s either been improved or spotted below his ability. Should've been more? That’s an easy argument to win but to suggest the entire team has gone backwards smacks of abject negative bias!

Won’t be going due to work but the first thing I’d want to know is how much of an absolute weapon Bellamy is... some heat with MGP apparently..! If any of you guys want to hear about rovers of old- try the Jon Parkin and Chris Brown (yes I know, that guy) podcast with Micheal gray as a starter - as the reminiscing about days of overlapping with Morten and beating the likes of united away are a great listen! Its called “Undr the Cosh” - Dunny has his own episode, plus a few others, (Basil Rathbone was one I’d my favourites!)

I agree and call me “in Tony’s pocket” but I can’t help feeling some sympathy for losing Dack, Evans, Nyambe, Tosin, Holtby et al after such a decent spell in November and early December.

I’m quite sure he knew Dack was the best player as the team was built around him, and you’ll never convince me to completely ignore the impact of losing him on results as “Tony’s meddling”.

9 changes for one team is fine because they’re “mint” and they have good depth.. 6 changes for us isn’t, on the back of a similar amount of games in days, including injuries. I just think that’s ignoring facts like losing a key player. Each to their own.

I see definite reasons for so many changes at times, particularly over Christmas period and with injuries. It’s up to you if you choose not to. I saw Leicester play West Ham on 9 changes other day and they played immensely.

I think this is two things - firstly, I’d say sometimes the “re set” for different teams works (Swansea - Bristol) and then other times we under perform (Bristol - Wigan). The last 4 games though, insanely hampered by injuries and having no time on the training pitch to recover or replace our key player who our play is built around. So I agree somewhat, however I don’t subscribe to the mentality that football in 2020 is about having a best 11, in some cases now it appears to be more about who has the best 22!

I’m not sure many squads / teams / managers could’ve lost the key players with the timing we had and continue to pick up the same level of points in 4 games over 9 days. Of course, if our squad had been built better with the outlay (particularly on two strikers), we’d be better equipped to deal with this but I’ve never seen this as an exact science - for example we currently have our first choice full backs, and first choice number 10 injured; I don’t think many teams in this league would be able to respond without putting someone out of position, or suffering an inability to create chances with their talisman out. Danny Graham hadn’t hardly touched the ball at all, in the games he’s played - but still scored his chance versus Huddersfield. This to me says the priority is finding someone to temporarily replace Dack, and give the likes of Rothwell and Armstrong a kick up the arse, or our problem for the remainder will be creating and scoring goals. You never know - some better delivery and quality in the final third might give our expensive strikers some opportunities to score some goals.

I watched the Wigan game, an insipid performance due to a lack of quality in terms of passing and creating chances. Our recent style of play at Bristol/Swansea was massively impacted by losing Tosin (imo) and obviously we don’t need reminding what happened to our statistically best and most important player in that game. At no point did I feel it was a lack of effort. I don’t recall feeling that under TM, even in the dark days of Oldham away. Then like now, I just feel we can be organised better and do the simple things more consistently. Youll never convince me that the reaction to a poor Christmas run is to swap places with Bolton!

One thing I’ve always agreed with @JHRover on is if they had stomach or the interest, there are several ways in which debt can be reduced or FFP ignored. Look at Derby this season... Where I found it hard to agree with him, I’m not sure I’d want Venkys London buying our stadium and facilities for 200m so the club is debt free... or turning 175m into 250m giving free reign to an expensive manager. I think it’s very complex and hard to fathom the best way out, and as you say it may get to the point where they simply turn off the tap.

Firstly, we agree things could, should be better but we’ve had ten years of idiotic mistakes, Bald crooks, Malaysian pundits, obvious dodgy crap going on, best players leaving, staff being laid off, the soul / spirit sucked out of the stadium and some players who literally didn’t give a shit. However, don’t think I have ever felt TMs team “doesn’t give a shit”. That was the worst feeling I’ve had in the last decade, and it mainly came under Coyle, Kean, Berg, Lambert and Bowyer at times. So I’d say we’ve had much worse times in the last 10 years than the present. Simply wishing to hit the reset switch of the entire club seems way OTT in my opinion, in any case.

I understand the sentiment, as I am unhappy about seeing the debt against the club build up - however I think selling all facilities, training ground, academy, stadium, losing all the best players and starting again in the 4th tier is a little bit of an extreme reaction to being a mid table championship side at present!

One thing I would say - there are best intentions and then best outcomes. If we all could guarantee over night Williams and Hughes back at the club, I’m sure that would be 99% of the “muppets” on board. Some questions for those willing to spin right now; Does this include Waggott and other staff like Venus? If not waggott, who has he previously employed to be a manager bar TM? If Waggott does go - then who hires the manager? Is Damien Johnson ready? If so does he get 6/12/18 months without worry of being chopped?

If you don’t particularly like having your words picked up, don’t post them or at least have a bit more respect if you actually want a discussion.
