  1. Price rIse Is bad. Will miss the street parking such as at Bury and Rochdale for example when our support was massive In relation to home support. Its step up we've been there before and If we get It right at pitch level our away support will be better than we think. coyb
  2. Good to be back. Looking at the list about half are within a couple of hours driving distance for me. Championship 2018-19 Aston Villa Birmingham City Blackburn Rovers Bolton Wanderers Brentford Bristol City Derby County Hull City Ipswich Town Leeds United Middlesbrough Millwall Norwich City Nottingham Forest Preston North End Queens Park Rangers Reading Rotherham United Sheffield United Sheffield Wednesday Stoke City Swansea City West Bromwich Albion Wigan Athletic Fixtures out 9am Thursday 21st June.
  3. We've got to understand that Rovers is also a business with football regulations and rightly or wrongly its up to the CEO to raise as much income as possible taking all things into account. Its his judgement. Having said that I know exactly how I feel when a cost goes up above the normal inflation rate especially when kids are involved. COYB - we are going uP
  4. Sunderland will need a manager who knows league one. Latest odds: Jaap Stam 3/1 Steve McClaren 9/2 Uwe Rosler 6/1 Michael Appleton 8/1 Mark Warburton 12/1 Mick McCarthy 12/1 Ally McCoist 14/1 Craig Shakespeare 14/1 Hannes Wolf 16/1 Roy Keane 16/1 Kenny Jackett 18/1
  5. Ben Marshall stretchered off against Middlesbrough.
  6. It just doesn't happen to us then as Brentford score in 4th minute of added on time. Fulham 1 Brentford 1
  7. Over the years reaction of both crowd & players have changed when the ball hits back of the net. Be it a generous clap and hand shake in the early days, a mad jump/push/leap about on the terraces that found you standing next to someone you didn't know in 80's or an almost copy-write player celebration to some brilliant finishes. So what reaction will VAR bring? A hush and shake of the head as the referee presses his index finger to his right ear.............delay............GOAL!!!!!!! The games changing boys & girls, we need to get back to the premiership.
  8. For Portsmouth game I was late and asked steward to let me in JWL-DE. Close to pitch-side as anyone that day I witnessed Mulgrew's game, eyes everywhere commanding his team both voice and gesture. Genius! We've got Mulgrew!
  9. Ref must be against VAR. Personally think its a waste. Football is a great conversation.
  10. What a fantastic day that was. Was watching two sky screens in different rooms as I stood in my hallway so could see Liverpool v Rovers and West Ham v United as it was happening. Hearing the roar from Rovers fans on the video as defeat turns into Premier League Champions brings a tear to my eye too.
  11. If we could get that away mentality at home games the twelfth man comes into play. The noise we make at away grounds is a joy to hear and sends shivers up many backs.
  12. Charlie takes it in his stride then excellent play by Smallwood for Dack's first. He could have been selfish but with good short passing returns the ball for Dack to score. Dack's second is pure class from Antonsson. Ok tinted lens but we on the way up boys & girls
  13. 6 wins and 3 draws, 22 goals scored with 10 conceded, since we lost to Oldham.
  14. Table looks good with us now averaging 2 points per game. Enjoying this season!
  15. Noticed at Bury one of our older fans - and it was great to see both young and old getting behind the team - started the "when the blues go marking in" song. Would be great to hear that sound at home matches again as we once did on the Riverside many moons ago.
  16. Nothing else to talk about. If we had signed a striker this would never had happened
  17. I trust TM. Sounds daft when my heads still spinning after being relegated but even his presence at pitch side today made me aware of what we've missed.
  18. Excellent work Michael. Good to read that a Government Minister takes this seriously and will take on-board the story of our club with "seriously dysfunctional owners". Would like to see some reaction in the (very) near future with the BRFC hitting the headlines for the right reasons.
  19. Yes but to take 10 players out! They broke the rule and should be punished.
  20. Trying to remain positive. This season is now about hope after so much disappointment. We look to be hanging on by the skin of our teeth but as Greavesie said, its a funny old game. Who would have thought we could take 6 points off Newcastle. Well done to the travelling 1,600 going on Sunday, hope this Sunday is a day of celebration for all of us.
  21. Possibly a day out at Blackpool Glad to know last game is on Sky TV, albeit for the wrong reason. Does anyone know if game will be shown in Blues Bar? Nervous week before we get conformation of which league and what (if anything) the future holds.
