Rak-Sakyi would've torn Pickering a new one. -

Hedges should've made better contact with it, but it still wasn't granted he would be able to wrap his foot around it fully to convert it. -

Plan B is our starting eleven, don't think Eustace meant for Dolan and Hedges to start every game this season. Man for man Blades are a better side unfortunately. It's as easy as that, and we won't beat the stats forever. We replaced someone who can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo (Gallagher) with another one who's just as bad, but that doesn't understand tactics and can only play in one role. Downgrade. Ohashi seems to have found his level, he works hard but gets muscled out really easily and makes the wrong decision a lot the time. Tough task today though, I'll give him that. -
January Transfer window

Venky's court case is this month; on November 13 I believe. Will we finally get it over and done with? A positive outcome might release a bit of funds in January. Would think the deal for that Fulham lad will be revisited too. -
Nice. "The towering centre-back has already made several appearances for Rovers Under-18s over recent weeks and is delighted to be joining a club that offers a clear pathway for promising young players to progress to the senior squad. " Not given youth a chance so far this season, one might argue.

This is a fact, especially away. But if you look at stats from last night we had around 49% possession so I think they were tired too but definitely had the better subs. We also don't really have an outlet with pace these days, the closest being Hedges, so teams aren't too afraid to press us high up on the pitch because they know full well we won't outpace their defenders.

Tonight was as good as I've seen Hyam play for a long while. They're not the best on the ball, but thought they moved it around quicker than usual at least.

Looked very sharp last night. He's got more potential than both Ohashi and Gueye.

I found it quite exciting to be honest. It was nervy and could've gone either way. WBA trying to stay patient and waiting to catch us on the break, which when they did they showed how good they are. We couldn't afford to play with higher risk unfortunately and man for man they're a better side than us. I think this was a game that proves just where we are; a solid side that can compete with the best sides in the division on any given day, but we won't have the quality and/or concistency to end up in the top six come May of next year. Worrying that Carter limped off, didn't look good. We have to adjust our style to our lack of pace throughout the team.

At least he's a lot better at pressing than Sigurdsson. Under JDT he would've been given the license to roam. Some positive signs from TC, hope he can build on his positive start and make the players around him step it up a notch. Big game this.

Blackburn VIP spying mission for Yuki What's that? Does anyone know what Nicko is on about?

Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?
Torgeir replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Think Ipswich did themselves a disfavour by dragging the deal out until it was so late. He has to adapt to their style of play and assimilate another level as well, but I think he can do it. Took a bit of time to get going here, so we'll see whether that's the case now too - and if he's given enough chances to shine. -

We’re too easily frightened by a little high pressure and stop playing. Batth and Hyam are poor with the ball at their feet and we struggle to get anything going. We are so slow it’s painful to watch us chase loose passes and watch opposition players from bleeding’ Plymouth breeze past us. When I saw the teamsheet day I thought to myself: Help! -

Dolan and Hedges are both inconsistent but they're our best ball carriers and get on the ball a lot. We were too predictable in the build-up and Coventry snatched at us as soon as we made a sloppy pass at the back. A bit like watching Russel Martin's sides... the first goal changed the game. Coventry are difficult to break down and made some changes coming in. -

I like the look of ACD but I definitely agree that we haven't been able to bring in some much needed pace. -

A little strange that Eustace waited that long before making changes. -

And he didn't for the first, which makes a bit of a difference. Anyway, that was a terrible performance. -

First goal was a silly freekick to give away from Ohashi. Second a big big mistake and third definitely a bit of a flukey deflection as well. 0-0 was far from an impossible task, but we made it an uphill struggle. -

Coventry in full control tonight. Just see it out with 3-0 and it's onto the next one. Would put Beck straight in when he's back, and Cozier-Duberry looks busy too. -
Sigurdsson is a poor man's Cantwell. Can't see much of a future here for the Icelandic. Great game, looked controlled, and stayed controlled after we went 2-0 up and were looking to see the game out. Wonder what Eustace will do when Brittain returns, we make a lot fewer mistakes with him and JRC out of the team.
